If Two are Dead is a masterfully crafted suspense novel. Rick Mofina has once again perfected the elements of suspense with this spine tingling novel. It's two stories woven together seamlessly into one.
Luke and Carrie, each carrying their own demons leave LA and move back to their hometown where Carrie's dying father still resides. Luke, a former LA cop gets a job as a sheriff's deputy with the help of his father in law, the former sheriff. From the start nothing goes right for either Carrie or Luke. Carrie is starting to remember events from her traumatic past where she is the sole survivor of a horrific double murder. Luke is suffering from PTSD after a justified shooting in LA. Both are hiding secrets from eachother while they try to navigate their new life.
This was a fast paced, twisty page turner of a read. Mofina has a knack for drawing the reader in from the start and his attention to detail keeps us turning the pages. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to his next.

I love Rick Molina & this latest book was great! I couldn’t stop reading, eager to figure out what happened next! Loved this thriller!

If Two Are Dead by Rick Mofina This fast paced story is told with alternating timelines and multiple POVs. Wasn't sure where the book was headed since it felt like there were two different stories. Mr. Mofina deftly tied the narratives together with an unexpected conclusion. Entertaining read.
Thank you to the author, Harlequin Trade Publishing MIRA and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.

This was a pretty run of the mill thriller. I was not sure how the two cases were going to come together in the end though, so that was a little surprising.
