Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC of this audiobook for my honest review

This was such a cute romance, I really loved that it was a Groundhog Day with a twist. It is christmassy but I feel like because the plot is so interesting it could be a year round read. I do feel like every Groundhog Day movie and book gets a little repetitive like you know what kind of will happen every day, so I’m happy that the author definitely tried to make it feel as new as possible every day it just still had that feel a little bit. I still really enjoy it though and I recommend it if you want a cute Christmas romance !

I'll be publishing my review on Goodreads and StoryGraph 22nd October and on Tik tok most likely will add to a monthly wrap up post with review the beginning of November.

What a sweet, different, cozy, 'pulling at your heartstrings' kind of holiday romance!

Meet Annie. She is an assistant window designer for one of NY's finest stores. She's really hoping to get a promotion, as the lead designer up and moved recently. She's sweet, quiet, a little spunky, but mostly keeps to herself. Especially after the ruins of her last relationship, and what happened between her and her best friend Tina.

Meet Braden. He's a security guard at the same store. He is still trying to get over his time overseas, serving his country, where he saw a lot of things he can't unsee...and lost a lot of friends. He's sweet, kind, and kind of keeps to himself too. And he loves his Momma! ❤️

*** 🛑🛑 STOP HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW ANY MORE!! 🛑🛑 ***

BUT, one day the two of them collide...as Annie is running into the store (late as usual! I can SO identify with that!!) And she drops her bag...and her stuff rolls out!
She's awestruck when she meets him, but tries not to show it.
And so, they go about their day....
They do run into each other again, as two rambunctious boys escape from their Mom (while trying to catch Santa's ear), and completely RUIN her main Christmas Display Window! As Annie tries to repair the damage (On Christmas Eve, no less), Braden comes to her rescue and helps!
And Santa ends up putting his 2 cents in too...

The next day, Annie wakes up to her alarm blaring. BUT THAT CAN'T BE!!
It's Christmas Day. She did NOT set her alarm. The store is closed today!
But her phone says it's Christmas Eve...again. That can't be.
Yesterday was 12/24. What is going on??

And so, she lives a REPEAT of the day before, with only subtle differences differentiating them! But how is this even possible? And, why is it happening?

And for that, I'd advise you to PICK THIS ONE UP, and read it!! It’s quite a treasure! ❤️

4 1/2 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💫for me, happily rounded up to 5!
Brought out so many emotions in me! Good, bad, happy, sad...and just, well, wonderful memories! And…Brooklyn!

⭐️ Sweet story, time travel loop(?), Neighborly neighbors…
⭐️ Kind main characters with significant meaningful histories
⭐️ Small town vibes (even though they are in a big city!)
⭐️ Family and friends play significant roles…and bonds are formed.
💫 And…who doesn’t love Santa? 🎅🏼 and Leo… 🐾

Thanks so much to #NetGalley and #DreamscapeMedia for an ARC of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
The release date was yesterday, 10/8/24, so it should be on shelves already!

A great Christmas romance! Really enjoyed this book but I do feel the 12 days started to get a bit repetitive. The idea behind it is really cute but it needed more to make each day feel like I needed to read all 12. The narration was great!

3.75 stars

Annie works at a department store where she is the assistant visual artist that keeps the displays beautiful. Unfortunately, her boss is firing her because the store is losing money. She is also in a big fight with her best friend. She doesn't know any of her neighbors. She embarrasses herself in front of her crush. And on top of all that, the display she's been working on gets trampled by little kids running wild in the store. In summary, Annie is having a bad day. So what if she gets a do over? But not just any do over, she gets to repeat the day until it is just right, but she has to figure out what needs to be fixed first and she drags her crush in this too.

I thought this book was really cute. I thought the premise was fun and the different ways of figuring out what needs to be changed was enjoyable. I had to deduct a star because the book does get repetitive and feels really long sometimes which was unfortunate because I enjoyed most of it, it was just in the first half that the book felt really long. Once you get to the second half the pace improves. I do recommend it, since I thought the book was really uplifting and charming. Plus, I thought the narration was absolutely phenomenal! Emma Faye does a great job at reading the book and I am going to look for more books she narrates.

Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and Ginny Baird for giving me the opportunity to listen to an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review, all opinions are my own.

This was a cute, light Christmas read. Annie is stuck in a time loop on Christmas Eve and has to figure out how to break out of it. She gets to know her coworker Braden day after day.

This book is full of Christmas magic! I just don’t think a time loop is my favorite. It’s so so repetitive! But if you enjoy a time loop story line, this should be a fun read for you!

I listened to the audiobook for this and I enjoyed the narrator.

This book releases today, October 8th! Thank you to Ginny Baird, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for the early copy in exchange for my honest review.

It was a very sweet Christmas version of Groundhog Day. I listened to the audiobook version, and I liked the narrator. This is a clean romance no smut, very hallmark movie type of story. My favorite part of this was the found family aspect along with the romance.

I think this was too long to be enjoyable. I understand the repeating of Christmas Eve 12 times matching the 12 days of Christmas, and I think there were great parts of this, but the constant repetition got to be too much. Then, at the end, I kept thinking it was over and it kept going. Groundhogs-Day-eqsue novels are tough to keep engaging, and unfortunately this fell into the same trap as others have before.

This book was so so cute. A little magic, a little romance, a little family and friends coming together, lots of good feelings and story telling. Perfect for the holiday season.

Christmas Eve Love Story
by Ginny Baird
narrated by Emma Faye

Five Groundhog Day Stars

I was so entertained by this story!

Poor Annie Jones just keeps waking up on Christmas Eve, which wouldn't be terrible, but it was NOT a good day! It starts with cat food everywhere and ends with a trashed Christmas display with so much in between. Each morning, she wakes up and does it all again, trying each day to head off every catastrophe. Each day she also grows closer and closer to the people around her, even though they don't remember any of it when she wakes up again on Christmas Eve. Trapped in this time loop Annie makes friends, falls in love, and grows as a friend and neighbor.

Emma Faye does a FANTASTIC job at bringing this book to narrated life.

This wholesome story is perfect for fans of Hallmark Christmas, self-growth, Groundhog Day the Christmas version, and a little Miracle on 34th Street. I highly recommend it.

I love a good Groundhog day/timeloop romance and this holiday themed one that has a Department store window display artist repeating December 24th over and over until she gets the window scene just right was a heartwarming, feel good read with the perfect amount of magic and whimsy. Perfect for fans of Tessa Bailey's Window shopping (minus the spice). This was also good on audio narrated by Emma Faye. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

There goes Annie’s alarm again! Fa la la la la la la la… oh no. It’s Christmas Eve and there’s a winter storm warning. Again. Her seemingly endless time loop continues, and she’s headed back to another day at New York department store Lawson’s Finest to have her beautiful holiday window display ruined by two rambunctious little boys, have the department store Santa tell her something is just not quite right with the display, and try to figure out what she needs to fix to make things right and breakthrough to Christmas Day. Oh, and to win the heart of Braden, the dreamy store security guard.

I so often wish we could award half stars, because this is a solid 3.5 star read for its heart and wholesomeness. But when I consider rounding up, I have to consider it against other books I’ve read recently that earned my four-star rating, and I can’t quite rank it with those. It’s a mashup of Groundhog Day (12 Christmas Eves!) and Miracle on 34th Street (where did that department store Santa come from, anyway?) and midway through the Christmas Eves, things are getting a little repetitive and it feels like time to speed things up. I enjoyed hearing how Annie changed things a bit each time to try to break through the time loop, and the author eventually starts giving us the shorthand version, but not quite soon enough.

The absolute beauty of this story lies in how Annie, who lost both of her parents young and is lonely, uses her situation and kind heart to bring the people around her together and create a family and sense of community. That’s where I want to award that extra half star. There is virtually nothing steamy here unless you count a kiss under the mistletoe; it couldn’t be more wholesome and would be an appropriate YA read. Altogether this was a pleasant read and would pair well with being snowed in with a nice cup of hot chocolate (with a candy cane melted in) this holiday season.

Thanks to #NetGalley #DreamscapeMedia and #GinnyBaird for this ARC audio book! It releases on Oct. 8.

Narrator: Overall I enjoyed the narrator for this story and thought she did a wonderful job bringing the story and characters to life. My own "complaint" is when characters were not speaking the narration felt robotic.

Story: The first few Christmas Eve's felt like enough, but eventually it did get old. I didn't think there was a clear view as to what the goal for the main character would be unless I wasn't paying attention. I did appreciate that each day she was making the most of it by growing closer to her neighbors and Braden. I also liked that as the days are repeated, the characters have some sense of deja vu. I thought that added an interesting element not see often in groundhog day storylines.

All of the characters were lovable additions to the story and I liked how the author brought them all together at the end. I do think the end could have been cut shorter.

What didn't work for me was Braden's perspective. It didn't flow or fit well within the story. The story is focused on Annie, so to have his perspective of things didn't quite fit for me. I would like to have seen this Dual POV and his POV could pick up from where her's left off or start another Christmas Eve.

Overall I did enjoy this story and I think anyone who wants a fun Christmas story will enjoy this.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
I thought this was a delightful romance that would make a great Hallmark movie. The fact that book was super cheesy added to the charm in my opinion. I loved the chemistry between Braden and Annie.

The audiobook was narrated by Emma Faye and I thought she was the perfect choice to narrate this book. Her voice was very relaxing and soothing. Her voice also sounded a bit familiar to me but I am not sure if I have listened to her narrate other books before or not.

Ginny Baird writes a fabulous and cozy Christmas romance, and I ate up every little bit of it. If you are looking for a cozy romance this holiday season I definitely recommend this book.

My Christmas loving heart didn’t care it is only October. I love a good holiday read. This was just okay for me though. It was too long. This was a cute Christmas story but it really got repetitive after a while

This cozy, heartwarming Christmas romance has a unique twist—time travel! I enjoyed following Annie Jones, a hardworking window designer for the iconic Lawson’s Finest in New York City. Her journey begins when her Christmas Eve display gets ruined by some kids, and an all-too-realistic Santa gives her a strange tip on how to fix it. With the help of friendly security guard Braden Tate, she manages to put things right… until she wakes up to find it’s Christmas Eve again.

Annie’s time loop adventure leads to some touching moments as she gets to know her neighbors better and explores new ways to connect with Braden. I loved watching her grow and the “found family” she creates along the way. It made the story feel so wholesome. Braden is a wonderful love interest—kind, patient, and always there to lend a hand. The way their relationship develops, little by little, felt genuine.

But, as much as I liked Annie and Braden, I found the endless Christmas Eve repetitions a bit too much. It felt like the story dragged at points and got a little predictable. Still, the narrator brought the characters to life beautifully, making it easy to imagine myself right there in the snowy city. She made the scenes flow smoothly, even when the plot seemed to drag. It almost felt like I was watching a Hallmark movie unfold in my mind—cozy, festive, and filled with hope. It's a solid, feel-good holiday read if you’re in the mood for a cute, festive romance!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Annie, a store front/window designer keeps reliving Christmas Eve until she can get the perfect design, all while she slowly falls for the store security Braden.
The amount of Christmas Eve do overs (12) I feel ends up dragging on for to long, and things get a little repetitive. And the chemistry was just right with Annie and Braden. While I have enjoyed Ginny others books in the past, this fell flat for me.
I was able to listen to an early copy of the audiobook, while the narrator was a perfect fit for the book, my huge dislike as a dual pov, there was only one narrator.
.
Thanks netgalley for the opportunity to listen to an early copy. All thoughts and opinions on this review are my own.

This was teeth-achingly sweet. If a Hallmark movie and several bags of sugar had a baby. This would be it. There is absolutely an audience for this book!

Annie & Braden work at the same department store. He’s a security guard and she designs the front window (how fun!). They never really met until they meet over and over and over again for a Christmas Eve do-over 12 times.

Each day is slightly different, but mostly the same things keep happening and Annie needs to figure out how to tweak things in order to get out of the time loop. 12 times is a lot y’all and felt like way too many with all the repetitiveness. I do like the thought behind it being 12 days of Christmas, but again just felt way to long to me.

Overall, there were some cute moments. I liked Christmas Day once we finally got there and the little twist that happened. It has full on Christmasy vibes, even with some Santa magic to put a smile on your face.

Narration notes:
While she did do a good job this would really have benefited with a male narrator since it’s dual POV. It's possible I would have enjoyed this more had I read and not listened.

After living through a hit-or-miss Christmas Eve, department store window artist, Annie, wakes up to find herself stuck in a time loop. 'Twas the night before Christmas... again and again...

I like to start out reviewing the narration on audiobooks, because, truthfully, a narrator can make or break an audiobook for me. Thankfully, the narration on this one was perfect! Emma Faye has a twinkly, sweet voice - just what you would expect and want for a Christmas rom-com! She excelled at hitting the sweet highs of the holiday season, but also perfectly read the more somber moments in the book where the character revisits her tragic past. A+ narration!

Now, for the actual book review. When this started off, I was unconvinced. Annie seemed so whiny and self-centered. I wanted to put the book away, but I kept getting a tug to finish it. So, I powered through and fell in love! Annie seems whiny and self-centered at times, yes, but when you see all that she's been through and all of the tragedy that is associated with the holiday season for her, you begin to understand why even the slightest hiccup (not to mention, the major catastrophes!) that could happen on Christmas Eve would devastate her. I loved the growth that you see in the character, and even identified with a lot of it.

The romance was well done, for me as well. I could have done without a few of the twelve-year-old boy type jokes about Braden's duty belt and "package" but I just rolled my eyes and moved past that. I was delighted that the romance was kept sweet. If you're looking for spice in your rom-com, you will find none of it here! Braden is definitely described as super hot the entire time and there's chemistry but nothing spicy which I loved.

Overall, I loved this book! 4 out of 5 stars for a rocky start, but highly recommend if you like whimsical holiday rom-coms.
