HOLY SNIKES!!!! I was just going to listen to a few minutes and I DEVOURED this book! When the one twist happened I was in car line I literally SHOUTED NOOOOOO! Needless to say the other parents were startled.
I will be recommending this book to everyone!!!!!

I received a digital audiobook of this title through NetGalley. The book does a good job of building suspense and making you doubt the main character's narration. Lots of twists and reveals, with varying degrees of believability.

WoW.......Don't Believe Her by Nicola Sanders and narrated by Jodie Harris was an addictive psychological thriller with a shocking brilliant twist. This audiobook was excellent from start to finish and I loved it. Especially as I ended up listening to it throughout the day. Superb.
The Narrator Jodie Harris was excellent bought the book alive. You became apart of the story which made it excellent!

"Don't Believe Her" by Nicola Sanders is an addictive thriller that is very easy to binge read.
Ellie and Carla were best friends through school. Carla ran away at 16 years old. Ellie has been trying to find her ever since. Ellie is engaged to Nick, Carla's brother, and living with him at his mother's home, helping to care for her.
They think Carla has been found, but when she arrives, Ellie doesn't believe it's really Carla.
This is a very intense and exciting thriller with several twists. It is quite engaging and hard to put down.

The review that sold me on this book was one that said “if you like Freida McFadden, you should pick this up”. After finishing this book, I have to agree.
It’s a perfect popcorn thriller that keeps you at the edge of your seat, guessing the whole time, and enjoying the twist and turns along the way. I had a bunch of theories throughout the entire book, but there’s no way I could’ve guessed the ending.
Honestly, the ending is a bit far fetched for me, but going in with the proper expectation meant that it didn’t affect my enjoyment. I’d recommend picking this one up for a mindless fun ride. I highly enjoyed the entire book.
I also really enjoyed the audiobook. The narrator, Jodie Harris, did a fantastic job of bring the story to life.

Ellie has been looking for Carla since she ran away at the age of 15. They were best friends until that one night, when Carla packed up and left abruptly.
Ellie returned to her hometown and she’s now engaged to Carla’s brother, Nick. Ellie never gave up on finding Carla, as she continues to search for her.
Then one day, out of the blue, Carla returns to her hometown. Everyone’s ecstatic with her return, but not Ellie. She can’t help shake the feeling that this is not her.

Wow! I liked it but this is one twisted tale! I didn’t know who to believe or not believe. Just when you think the ‘mystery’ has been solved there’s another piece of the story woven into it. Don’t Believe Her keeps you guessing right until the very end.
I highly recommend!
The narration, by Jodie Harris, of the audiobook is clear, easy to listen to and well paced. Voice portrayals are consistent.
Thank You to NetGalley and Dreamscape Select for the opportunity to enjoy the audiobook version of this ARC.

Amazing! This book was wonderfully narrated and the story line gripped my attention from the beginning!

I absolutely loved this book and flew through it in 2 days. I can always count on her books to keep me interested and they are fun to read! I didn’t see this twist and will recommend this book to my friends and family!

Recently she has returned to her childhood home town me is now engaged to Carla’s brother Nick. She has resumed her search for Carla.
After a postcard is received from Paris, the family receive a call from Carla and she returns home for a visit. Ellie is not convinced this person is actually Carla.

An enjoyable listen

Thanks to #NetGalley and #DreamscapeMedia for the book #DontBelieveHer by #NicolaSanders. Carla has been missing for many years. She was Ella’s best friend growing up and Ella has been looking for her all this time. Ella is also engaged to Carla’s brother, Nick. But Ella is convinced that this is not Carla and keeps bringing up inconsistencies. Nick or Marjorie, their mother, won’t listen. Why can’t they see what she sees? What really happened to Carla?

Ellie's best friend Carla ran away at 16. 12 years later shes engaged to Carla's brother, bonding with him after the loss of her father never knowing what happened to Carla. She believes in her heart that Carla has passed away or something has happened to her since she never heard from her even after all of these years and they were like sisters.
Then to her surprise Nick, her fiance, announces that his sister Carla is back. Everyone is so happy to have her back but after spending time with her she is convinced, ITS NOT HER!
You have to read this - listen to this. I loved the narrator. I think she did an excellent job playing the different parts. If you love Frieda McFadden, Alice Feeney, you will. love this!

I gave Nicola Sanders a chance after one of my favorite authors (Freida McFadden) recommended her novels. Glad to say that she is as good as recommended.

The narrator did an amazing job, it wasn't flat or monotone.
the book was a really good thriller, lots of twists and turns that keep you guessing wats going to happen next!

This book was great! Every time I thought I had it figured out I was wrong. I wondered if I was dealing with an unreliable narrator but I was wrong. I was not believing Ellie either and thought she was holding onto the idea that Carla was not Carla. It felt awful repetitive but by the end it totally made sense. The twists and turns in the story were great fun and I really enjoyed it. The characters were great and the unravelling of a couple was so intriguing. Towards the end when the story viewpoint switched to Marjorie I was gobsmacked by how far she went to protect who she loved (see me not including any spoilers?). I would never have imagined the ending and it kept me listening right to the very end.
The narrator was great and I really enjoyed listening to them.
Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for a copy of this fun audiobook.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
This was a wild ride of a thriller. A lot of surprises that kept me guessing. I thought it was a creative take on if a person really is who they say they are. Kept my interest and I finished it quickly. Good narration.

Bravo, Ms. Sanders! You have written an entertaining and thrilling story with shocking twists! There were a couple of times I thought I knew where the story was heading, only to be thrown for a loop by unexpected revelations. I listened to the audiobook version and had to give myself time to get used to the narrator's voice portraying the various characters. Then, there were a couple of instances where I wasn't sure if the storyline was leading anywhere interesting.
Well, all I can say is that I am glad I did not give up too soon. In the beginning, I didn't know whether to accept Ellie's doubts or not, but she did get on my nerves a few times- specially, all those times I felt she gave Nick too much leeway to behave without considering her feelings. I could see from Marjory's perspective why she believed that Carla had returned, but Nick's acceptance of her return was more difficult to believe. Trigger warning for claustrophobia; there is one particular scene that is hard to breathe through.

Holy cow! I always find myself asking if people like this exist in real life. I know all about serial killers, I don't mean them.
I mean normal people who are always a member of the something-or-other charity club, and love to pet the neighbourhood dogs, meanwhile, behind closed doors they are as wicked as can be. Razor-sharp, barbed wire wicked. I can't say too much for fear of giving it away, but this is great, with a surprise sting in the tail that I never expected. A few.
Character-wise, Ellie annoyed the bejeebers out of me many times. Frankly, I would have sent Nicky packing with a swift kick, and Marjory not far behind. All in all, 'Don't Believe Her' moved along quickly and was a thoroughly enjoyable foray into the grim facade that is the burbs.
Now that I think of it, these types are more than possible, you just need to look at the absolutely dreadful Murdaugh crowd. And Chris Watts, As Miss Marple said, 'There is a great deal of wickedness in village life. I hope you dear young people will never realize how very wicked the world is.'
Ain't that the truth!

"Is this woman really who she says she is?" is a familiar setup for psychological thrillers, so while the premise of this book initially intrigued me, I was hoping the author would offer a fresh and more realistic take on this well-worn trope. It’s definitely a wild ride, but perhaps a bit too implausible for my taste. If you’re willing to suspend disbelief, this might work better for you, but the story became more absurd as it went on, and none of the characters were particularly likable.
Though the plot felt far-fetched at times, it was still entertaining—there’s a decent twist in there!
The book maintained a brisk pace overall however, the pacing in the middle dragged a bit for me. For what felt like 15 chapters, the main character Ellie is stuck trying to convince everyone that Carla isn’t who she says she is. It became repetitive, and I think a good chunk of the middle could have been trimmed down without losing much.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Jodie Harris. While I wasn’t her biggest fan, I have to give credit for the variety of voices she managed for all the different characters—impressive work on that front.
Special thanks to NetGalley, Nicola Sanders, and Dreamscape Media for providing an ARC audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I liked this book, it kept my interest. At times it seemed a little repetitive. I liked the plot. The end definitely caught me by surprise.

The lights went out in the middle of the book. What happened next made this book even more twisted than it seemed before.
Carla, the long lost sister, daughter and best friend has come home. Everyone thinks it’s her except her best friend. None of her memories align with Ellie’s. Ellie is even beginning to wonder if she really was a good friend to Carla. Nick and Marjorie seem convinced that it’s Carla. But what motivated her to return home? Money? Nick seems to need it more and more.
When someone begins to question the mental state of the main character, I’m immediately suspicious. Are we working with an unreliable narrator? Or is this gaslighting? The answers we get are even better thought through than I could have guessed.
I really enjoyed this audiobook. Jodie Harris kept me engaged. This was my first Nicola Sanders book. But it won’t be my last!
