Greenteeth is a delightful cozy fantasy that features witches, magical creatures, low and high fae, British history, folklore, and myth, and still manages to tell a heartwarming story of friendship and found family. What starts as a story of small village zealots attempting to drown a suspected witch, quickly morphs into a quest to retrieve magical objects that they need to fight off evil and rescue the village. The adventure takes the titular Jenny Greenteeth; Temperance, the witch that she saved from drowning; and Brackus, a goblin friend on an extended tour of the British Isles and reaches all the way to Camelot. The three overcome obstacles and prejudices and become bonded beyond a mere friendship. The touching tale will enchant anyone who enjoys cozy fantasy and stories of found family.
I received access to this eARC thru NetGalley (for which I want to thank NetGalley and the publisher, Orbit Books) for an honest review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

This fantasy is enthralling and gritty like the original Grimm's fairy tales. Jenny is a morally grey monster who journeys without compromising who she is. This story has a wonderful found family aspect and incredibly well developed characters. The main characters are all flawed, but that doesn't stop them from their epic adventure and developing friendship. This cozy fantasy with dark undertones is sure to keep you enthralled.
