This is the first book I've read by Caleb Stephens & I really enjoyed it! So many twists & turns that kept me intrigued throughout the whole book!!!

This was my first thriller about cults! I was sucked into the story & couldn’t wait to see how it concluded! I haven’t read any of Caleb Stevens’ books before, but I am a fan now & will continue reading his books!

3.5 stars rounded up. This was a fun, entertaining thriller. The yacht setting made it feel claustrophobic in a fun way. The characters weren't the strongest, but it was a fast-paced, twisty tale overall. It's a fun read if you're in the mood for a popcorn book kind of thriller.
I read an ARC of this book from NetGalley. All comments are my own.

Wow such a fun read!! I absolutely love Thrillers and this didn't disappoint 💗 wow I had my friend read this and she absolutely loved it too

Unfortunately I was unable to download this book before the archive date, but I look forward to reading and reviewing other books by this author in the future.

Pretty good story of a cultish type pyramid scheme organization taking it to extremes including murder. A bit unbelievable, but a lot of action, and a fair resolution.

This book was absolutely amazing!! It kept me guessing the entire time!! Plot twist after plot twist had me staying up all night to finish it.

Cults, estranged sisters, a private yacht, what's not to like! A quick thriller read that kept me engaged the whole time. Finished this in just over a day, a great summer this trip is going terribly read.
Thank you NetGalley for the copy!

fun, entertaining read with unexpected twists that keep you hooked until the end.
found the ending predictable, but enjoyable
Looking forward to the sequel
Thank you NetGalley for the copy

Im not usually a fan of cult thrillers. I thought I would give this a go. The podcast is what attracted me to the book. What I didnt like was the characters. I struggled to connect with them and really didnt care what happened to them.

A cult thriller set on a cruise ship ? Yes please, sign me up ! This was an absolutely great read. Such a fast paced page turner that I couldn't put down. I just had to know what was going on and what would happen. The way the story was developed and how it unfolded was just perfect! A great thriller that will get you out of a reading slump for sure!

What a thriller! Psychological suspense? Check! Believable characters with a heavy past? Check! Twists you won’t see? Check! An evil and crazy cult? Check! And ultimately, a setting where there’s no escape? Absolutely check!
If you haven’t added this book to your TBR by this point I don’t know what to say! This is a fantastic thriller with action aplenty and main characters you’ll love and many more that you’ll happily hate. There are also lots of emotions involved which, in my opinion, help make this a very credible and captivating thriller.
I found the cult aspect well done, but more than that, I found it completely believable and I actually listened to a podcast months ago about a very similar organisation with the same cultish elements. I loved the plot and was hooked throughout, curious to know how it would end for all the characters involved given they’re floating in the middle of the ocean on a ship!
This was a 5 star read for me and I’m sure it’ll be for anyone looking for a great thriller!
Thanks to the author and NetGalley for a copy and this is my honest opinion.

My thanks to Thrillerscape Press, Caleb Stephens and Netgalley.
Holy heck! I freaking loved this book!
I'm not a fan of books about cults. I was raised in California, and I'll tell ya' true...there are a shit ton of cults in Cali. When I was a kid they worried me. As I got older, they managed to freak me out.
This story? Holy shit!
Worst of all was them being stuck on a ship. Shit on a cracker.
I absolutely recommend this book. It tapped all my story boxes!

This book was overall a good story and intriguing. It did feel a bit slow at times and a little repetitive. Overall, I found it to be a good thriller.

What could possibly go wrong going on a cruise with your sister you haven’t talked to in years?! 🧍🏽♀️
✨ cults scare me ✨
Overall a good read! Fast paced and I just wanted to know what was happening.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This story had me guessing all the way along. The cult-like atmosphere on the boat was a bit creepy. All the interactions with good and bad people were intriguing. With revenge, spite, and more behind the reasons for the new people being brought in, I did not quite expect some of the outcomes. I was drawn into the story and got caught up in the events.
I received a copy through Netgalley and Xpresso Tours, and this is my unsolicited review.

This was much more fun than I expected.
I mean...I am so tired of the whole podcaster storyline. But what I thought was a cruise ship storyline wasn't and I was very surprised by what it was!
The book definitely has its twists, some warped characters, and was definitely fun.
While a few of the reveals were eventually a little expected, I still enjoyed them.
Would happily read the author again!

If You Lie by Caleb Stephens
I don’t think that I’ve yelled at book this much since I read Local Woman Missing! I devoured my first Caleb Stephens book in a day. Dark-twisty page turner with more than a few jaw-drops!!
Thanks #NetGalley for the early read!
If you like Noelle Ihli or Steph Nelson then you’ll love this book too.

Ok y’all listen up, I am quick to figure out a Thriller’s plot arc within the first 20-30 pages or so, BUT not with this book. I was so sure that I had it all figured out about 30-40 pages in, and oh I was soo wrong!! I binge read If You Lie in five hours! I could not put the dang book down, and sat there afterwards just shook. What a wild story.
Olivia is a true crime podcaster who previously escaped the grasp of a killer. Meeting up with her estranged sister, Quinn, as a plus one on the exclusive yacht owned by a New Age Cult, XClivity. What is supposed to be a chance to reconnect and bury the hatchet with Quinn, quickly turns into her worst nightmare. Olivia has a feeling that something isn’t quite right, and the natural born sleuth in her can’t leave it alone. As Olivia starts to put the puzzle pieces together you get twists and surprises that you’ll never see coming.
Part locked room thriller, part cult story, part revenge and a whole lot of gasping and yelling because this one will throw you for loop after loop. Add this to your TBR stat, you won’t want to miss this!

4.5 stars
Discovering a new author always makes me so happy, and right now I'm beyond thrilled. When I read the blurb for this one, there was no way I wouldn't want to read it, it sounded very intriguing.
This one kept me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning and with each new twist, it's claws sunk deeper and deeper. I never knew what was going to happen from one page to the next.
The ending was just perfect and left me eager for more
