4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. A cute and short Christmas read. Mary Kay Andrews never disappoints. At first I was a little worried it would be kinda dumb with Tilly hiding in the attic but around 50% she isn’t hiding anymore and it was a really sweet little story! And George was adorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a short, fun, Christmas book! 🎄❤️

Tilly is squatting in a rental property when the owner comes back for the holidays. Since Tilly works for the rental company she knows no one has rented the property in over a year and she thought it would be safe to stay there for two weeks until she moved into her new property.

George shows up at the property he recently inherited from his great-uncle. There are done strange goings-on that he notices immediately which causes him to have a cute text exchange with Tilly herself.

This story is short and can be read just as quickly as you could watch a Hallmark Christmas movie. It’s a sweet story.

Mary Kay does it again. A great fun story!! I enjoyed it so much. Plus it has a cool dog in the story. You will fall in love with the characters. Everyone needs to read this fun Holiday book. Great for the Holiday season.

This was a cute short story that would be perfect for anyone looking for an uplifting holiday read. I've read at least one of Mary Kay Andrews' books before (not short stories), and I felt that the characters and plot were a little unrealistic. While this had some similar elements, it actually worked better for me simply because it was a holiday story. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get into the holiday spirit!

This was a super short, fun read to begin the holiday season. It was totally not plausible but it didn't even matter.

I loved "Holiday Hideaway". It was the perfect cheery, holiday short story. Mary Kay Andrews is an auto-read for me and this book was as amazing as her other books.

I absolutely loved Holiday Hideaway! As a huge fan of Christmas stories, this one hit all the right notes for me. Tilly’s attempt to "hide out" in her rental had me laughing, and the whole setup with George arriving early added just the right amount of holiday chaos. Their back-and-forth was so entertaining, and I loved the mix of romance and humor.

My only complaint is that it was too short—I would have happily spent more time with these characters. But for a quick holiday read, it was just what I needed to get in the Christmas spirit. This story was heartwarming and funny, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a light, feel-good read this season! This is a cute and fast read that you can devour in one setting by best-selling romance and women's fiction author Mary Kay Andrews. This book has a lot of humor and heart. If you are looking for a hilarious book that you can read in a few hours this holiday season, I completely recommend this book!

Like a Hallmark movie. It's cute and a little bit silly. Not really many Christmas "feels" to it. I love MKA's full-length novels so I think I expected a little bit more.

Her plan is ruined when a very handsome stranger arrives out of the blue and claims he has inherited the property. Tilly panics…she can’t get caught here and possibly lose her job on top of everything else! She decides to hide in the attic with none of her food or essentials she packed. Will this handsome stranger notice if she sneaks down in the night for a little food? Find out what happens by reading (or listening!

This is a great holiday read if you don’t want the whole story to be about the holidays but still have that holiday element! Mary Kay Andrews is the Christmas queen after all. Highly recommend! It was a great pallet cleanser during a reading slump!

Mary Kay Andrews has long been known in the publishing world as the Queen of the Beach Read, and in the last couple of years, she has gained notoriety also as the Queen of the Christmas Read. I love MKA and will take them both as she has given us another fun holiday read. The sad thing about this story is that it is a short story/novella and ends way too soon, but MKA fans will take any length we can get over nothing at all. Read, enjoy, and follow Tilly and George as they are reunited as adults, under the Christmas tree, in front of the fire, with a flute of Veuve Clicquot in hand!!! Happy Holidays!!!

This was a super cute, short read! Loved all of the Christmas cozy vibes. Tilly is such a cute and quirky character, and I really liked the second chance at love trope.

The concept of this story was good but the story overall felt really rushed. I fell like there were so many parts of the story that I felt were not explained fully. So while it was cute and I love the dogs there were parts that needed to be expanded.
