Thank you NetGalley for this audiobook ARC
This is volume 1 - so includes the first three books of Legends of Abreia series. Which I did not realise going in. There are 6 books in this completed series and I was hooked from Book 1.
The author has cleverly divided the 6 book into three couples. Books 1 and 2 are from the POV of Leissa and 'The Raven'. The faceless Mage and The Unseen Heir.
Leisa is the bodyguard to the Princess Evaraine of Farhall, one of Kingdoms of the Five Thrones of Abreia. Farhall is one of the only kingdoms that does not prosecute Mages ( magic wielders). Leisa is one of these mages , with the ability to change her appearance using a mirror or reflection surface. Princess Evaraine, the only child to the King Soren , has been betrothed to the second son of King Melger, Prince Vaniell. The kingdom of Garimore, where Prince Vaniell is from, is widely known for its prosecution of mages. In order to protect his precious daughter, King Soren asked Leisa, who he fostered after her family abandoned her at a young, to use her magic to impersonate the princess to make sure Garimore will be safe for her. Leisa is thrust into the world of court politics, where she soon meets 'The Raven' - King Melger feared assassin who is always in full armour and never speaks. Soon it becomes clear that the Raven is not who Leisa thinks and there is a darker world at play in Garimore.
Book 3 , The Hidden Queen, follows Princess Evaraine and Prince Danric. Prince Vaniell is missing and in order to get the treaty of peace between Garimore and Farhhall, the real Princess Evaraine, who has been in seclusion, agrees to go to Garimore once more after being threatened by Prince Danric , the heir to Garimore. Prince Danric and Pricness Evariane have a past and soon more secrets are revealed , they team up together. We meet the characters from Book 1 and 2 throughout Book 3. Be warned Book 3 ends on a cliffhanger and I will be continuing the series.
This series had great world building and characters. I am so excited to continue in the world of Arbeia.

I love this series! It is fantasy, clean romance, with interesting characters that make me care while pulling me into their world. These books are fast paced, with so much action and adventure, that you arrive sad when they end. The characters are dynamic and well written. I highly recommend It.

This is a great series and I was surprised to get an Omnibius! I liked the 1st and 2nd books the best and think anyone who liked a decent fantasy series would enjoy this series! From the very start i wanted to know more about the Man in the mask and what happened to him, it is really what kept my intrest.

I liked this audiobook. It is a bit long though and since there are two books per couple it seems weird to cut after book 3. It would have been better to cut after book 2.
The audio is good. The story is okay. Overall I would give this a 3.5 ⭐️

Thank you Netgalley for a free audio version of this book! I feel like this book was a lot of character intros and setting the stage for book 2. It didn't feel like a ton happened but since it's book 1 in a series, it is setting up for the next book nicely. I did enjoy the FMC perspective and it was a decent story.

It’s my first time reading, or in this case, listening to something by Kenley Davidson, and I’ll just say that I truly regret not reading her work before this opportunity.
I love fantasy and every aspect of it, and felt like the Faceless trilogy was the perfect example of a great fantasy series.
The best way to describe these books are a heavy plot with political intrigue, highs stakes and great characters with a small side of romance which I love.
The narrator Vanessa Moyen did a wonderful job with these books and I loved every minute of it.
In one way I love that we get all three books in one, but the satisfaction of “putting” the first book down and picking up the next wasn’t there and it was a little bit sad, I’m sure it’s just me though.
If you’re a fantasy reader, you NEED to read or listen to Kenley Davidsons books.
A huge thanks to NetGalley & Dreamscape Select for this opportunity.
