A cute and preciously illustrated book about looking beyond what is on the surface to see the wonder underneath, like ants marching in a parade or the beauty of the constellations. This book encourages kids (and adults) to see the beauty that is all around us, including the people around us. We are all unique and may see wonder in things that other's don't, but that's okay, because we can share the wonder we see with the world.
I received an eARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This book not only has a sweet message but also has beautiful illustrations, Reminding us we all should stop more often to see the beauty that's all around us.
Thank you NetGalley and Tommy Nelson for an ARC Of The World Needs the Wonder You See by Joanna Gaines

Joanna Gaines reminds us all to look at the world with the eyes of a child and see the wonder that is all around us. The gentle poetry tells us the amazing things that we can see if we observe the little things in life and just use our imagination. The beautiful illustrations by Julianna Swaney show a whimsical world with a parade of ants including a marching band, an underwater city in the sea, and cozy underground burrows with cute little animals. The art is captivating and will entertain youngsters of all ages. Parents will want to explore these pages with their children. The group of children in the pictures is inclusive with kids of all skin tones and one little girl in a wheel chair. This allows all the kids to picture themselves in that group of friends. I am sure that kids will be anxious to grab a magnifying glass or camera just like the kids in the pictures, go outside, and explore the world for themselves.

The best part of this picture book is the colorful illustrations. The story is written in rhyming verse, and focuses on children discovering the wonders of nature in the world around them. This book could serve as a starting point for adults and children to explore nature and the many things found outdoors. It is a book that would be best shared and read together.
I received this book from the publisher and from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are my own.

A beautifully written book and beautiful illustrations. Everything that was being said in the book is so true wen I comes to children. Children see things that adults do not and it is.so true. Children's imagination is so much better than the adults. The kids will love.the book so much.
I received a free copy of the book and is voluntarily writing a review

The World Needs the Wonder You See by Joanna Gaines is such a needed topic. Children's natural curiosity as they are finding their place in the world is a precious gift to us. That we hopefully have the patience to be with the in that wonder is key and that Joanna Gaines touches on this beautiful gift of what children naturally do is what makes this such a precious book to me.
The book takes a child on every page through nature and walking through the pages with the children is wonderful. This book could become a short movie exploring throughout nature especially forests and vase meadows, understanding why untouched land and national sanctuaries are important. I grew up on the Monterey Peninsula, a natures playground, and was such a nature kid, loving sealife, pelicans, seals, otters, lizards, rocks, feathers, moths, and toads and wondering where all of the animals came from where they went at night all the curiosity is grand. Little Crew you wish at times he would never grow up because he has seemed to inspire the best out of his mom. Her features of him are heartwarming and we need a lot of that right now.
My favorite page is page 31 as follows "You were made for discovery, and this we know to be. Oh How the world needs the wonder YOU see." I'm happy Joanna Gaines is using her huge platform for this kind of focus. Her love of gardens, pressed flowers and nature has been a very good thing.
The watercolor illustrations are lovely by Julianna Swaney, especially with the monarch butterflies on each page, which are in peril and being considered for the endangered list.
I would like to thank Net Galley, the publisher Magnolia Publications for the opportunity to read and review the splendid book The World Needs the Wonder You See by Joanna Gaines.

I thought this book was sweet and beautifully written. The message seems to be more for the parent than the child though. My one concern: the illustrations try to be inclusive by depicting kids of all races and abilities. However, the girl in the wheelchair never gets to do anything…she can’t go up the tree house ladder, she can’t swim in the ocean. Let’s depict an inclusive world to go with our diversely drawn kiddos! Give the tree house a ramp! Let the kid use a walker by the ocean. If you’re going to make an effort to be inclusive…let’s actually include people!

This was the cutest kids book!
First off, I loved the cover on this book. It's eye-catching and colorful like all the artwork throughout the book.
The art in the background was one of my favorite elements in this storybook. The illustrations were colorful but in soft tones that were calm and relaxing to look at.
The kids were also drawn nicely.
I appreciated how the author thought to include a little girl in a wheelchair as well. That was so sweet and thoughtful.
The attention to small details in the drawing was nice too, with different little critters on each page.
The only things I would change was a couple of the little girls had on shorts that were a little too small or short for them, and one girl wore a one-piece swimsuit.
Otherwise, this book was fine. :)
This was a cool kids read from the Gaines family that I definitely enjoyed, and I'd say your kiddos will too.
I received a complimentary e-book from Tommy Nelson Publishers to review through Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review, and the thoughts above are my own.

Beautifully illustrated, lovely message! The rhyme scheme was a bit off, but the book as a whole is precious! Such a great option to read with children (and will remind adults as well) to see the wonder around you!!

"There's always more to look for in this great big world of possiblity."
While I had the honor and priviledge to receive an ARC (thank you!), my unbiased review is provided here:
Can I just say this book is EXACTLY why adults need to read more picture books?!
So many times authors write picture books because the young people in our lives taught us something, and Joanna Gaines did this exact thing with The World Need the Wonder You See.
With lovely, vibrant pictures that include children of various backgrounds, you see these little "Wonder Chasers" reminding us to slow down, and look for magic.
The book is written in rhyming verse, which is a delight to read to children.
It's a beautiful concept to kick off an afternoon of imagination adventures. I'm looking forward to an afternoon with nieces and nephews during the summer to do just that, since my kids are all grown now.
Thank you again for the ARC---I will be recommending this book to people of all ages!

oh i want the physical copy for my kiddos this is just beautiful!
i love the artwork i love the message and the words to the kids.. i loved this!!

This was an inspiring, non-woke children's read!
Mrs. Gaines did an excellent job depicting life through the innocency and eyes of a child.
Making discoveries, meeting new friends, helping others, and exploring new things and places.
This would be a perfect story to pique a child's interest in reading as well as introducing good morals and character traits.
-Negative Content (Very little)-
-In the corner of one page there was a tiny image of girl in a one-piece bathing suit.
-A few of the girls in the book wore shorts that were just a bit short.
I would definitely consider purchasing this for my future children, but maybe just fixing the pages to my taste that had a few small issues.
Many thanks to the publisher for the complimentary e-book copy I received to review through Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review, and the thoughts above are my own.

A beautiful reminder for both adults and children to stop and smell the flowers. Often we are so busy "doing things" that we stop "noticing things."
In this lovely picture book written for primary grade children, but a good reminder for any age, Gaines captures in pictures and words, how the simple words, "I wonder" can propel us into taking everyday activities into experiences to enrich our minds and our hearts.
Holding a child's hand and walking through a forest, exploring the soil, or gazing at the stars, there are numerous opportunities for letting our imagination explore the possibilities. This simple rhyming book with multicultural images of diverse children forces the reader to slow down and widen our horizons.

Simple rhyming text and adorable illustrations. This little story reminds the reader of the magic all around us. Children need time to explore the outdoors, to take some time to discover the little miracles hiding right in their own backyard. Makes you want to go outside right after reading and see what you can discover!

This book has beautiful illustrations and a message about recognizing and enjoying the wonder of the world around us. It will encourage kid and adult readers alike to appreciate the world and what they see around them. I do wish this book also pointed more to the Creator of the world, but nevertheless an adorable read with a good cadence.

Looking at the world with a child’s viewpoint, young readers (and their parents) see the many beauties we often overlook in our busy lives. You will be drawn into the world around you and come out with a fresh respect for even the tiniest details that surround you.
The illustrations are absolutely stunning! From the rich colors and attention to detail to the great forest and depths of the sea, you are drawn into even the tiniest wonders you see. While the entire book is full of beauty and detail, the forest pages just drew me in and created of sense of calmness.

I received an electronic ARC from Tommy Nelson through NetGalley.

Gaines reminds readers of all ages to look around and see the beauty and wonders that surround us. The focus is on younger readers celebrating and sharing joy. The narrator reminds them to always maintain their sense of wonder at life. Lovely, detailed illustrations capture the energy and passion as the characters explore. Delightful book for young families.

This book was adorable. The illustrations were done very well, filled with diversity. The story was also very well written and makes you think about all the wonders that are out there and reminds you to stop and appreciate all that you might not see at first glance.

Oh my gosh, I absolutely loved reading this with my girl. So lighthearted, beautiful illustrations, rhyming and the wonderful virtuous message behind the story. I would recommend this for any parent. Great book about being able to help our kids pay attention to what’s around and looking at things more beautifully.

The World Needs the Wonder You See by Joanna Gaines is a picture book filled with lovely illustrations. It celebrates kids and their curiosity, how they view the world from a perspective so different from ours. In this book, children are shown engaging in various activities and sharing their unique point of view. Their perspective is beautifully captured; for instance, kids see a forest as a place full of wildlife and new plants, while adults may see it as just a collection of trees. As we grow up, we often forget to appreciate our surroundings and enjoy the little things in life. I am sure kids will love this book and its delightful illustrations.
Thank you, NetGalley, for providing me with the ARC of this book.
