This story is so cute! I especially loved how diverse the children are—a little girl in this book is even in a wheelchair which was so special to see (since I suffer with health issues and am in a wheelchair myself!). 🥲 The illustrations are wonderfully drawn, and the colors are soft to the eye and not too harsh. What a beautiful book that would be great for gifts! ❤️

This book is full of sweet illustrations to go along with the story. A book about how we all see things differently and if you look closer you may see some things you didn't realize were there. I like the idea how some of us just see a forest but some people see it as an enchanted world. Such a cool idea to share with kids so they can open their minds and then share with others what they see. Then we can see the wonders that live in everyone.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

I reviewed this with my five year old son and we both really enjoyed it! He said he really liked the pictures and we both enjoyed all the details that were included in them. I always love a rhyming book especially for little kids. This book will hopefully inspire kids and adults alike to go outside and notice more of the amazing details in their world!

A beautiful book about the wonders all around us that we often overlook! This book has a great message about slowing down and taking in the world around you. It's a great book for teaching about how to appreciate the world around you. The illustrations in this book are also breathtaking and go perfectly with the story.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Tommy Nelson for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

My 4 year old attends an outdoor forest preschool, so this book ended up being perfect for him! It feels very similar to what he is taught at school through nature based learning and I can't wait to be able to gift a copy to his teachers when it's released. Beautiful illistrations as well.

With darling illustrations, this book encourages readers to explore the world around them with a more inquisitive eye. Paying attention to the trees, clouds, and animals around us at a slower pace is hard to do in today’s frenzied world, but this book will encourage children and parents alike to approach the world with renewed wonder.

A beautifully written book about the wonders all around us that we often overlook, The Wonder You See offers a captivating view of the world around us. By slowing down and looking closely, Gaines reveals all of the enchanting secrets to discover. When I seen this available on NetGalley I had to request for it. I love Joanna and this looks like the perfect book for kids who have a million questions about things and a mind full of imagination. This was an easy read that I think kids could easily understand and read along with. There was diversity and a girl in a wheelchair. There was ants doing a marching parade and ducks swimming in puddles. The illustrations in this book were beautiful.

The World Needs the Wonder You See follows a group of children who discover the wonder of the world around them from magic puddles to play in on a rainy day to the extraordinary sights on a star-filled night. The illustrations are beautiful and represent a diverse group of kids. The book also has great messages for children to be curious about the world around them and share the wonder they see.

An absolutely beautiful book. The colors of the illustrations are vibrant yet calming as well. The messages of taking things slowly, looking at things from a different perspective and the fact that how you see things/the things you see are so important to share with others, are just wonderful and really important to support growing, curious minds. I especially like the fun scenes of the animals, like the ant parade, and the grasshopper playing his violin, as well as the bees gathering pollen with their baskets. The pictures are exciting and accessible. I also am a big fan of the inclusion of a child in a wheel chair, as well as the other diversity among the characters. In a book with a message like this it is extra important to include these many unique characters and this book does that well.

Very cute book with sweet illustrations encouraging children to use their imaginations and take time to see the world. I love that children of different ethnicities and physical abilities were shown in the pictures.

This is such a lovely book for young kids! The rhyming verse is sweet, but the illustrations are the true stunners. Vibrant, whimsical, and just plain darling, the illustrations make the words come to life. I highly recommend this precious book to families with little kids.

Joanna, I would love to sit and chat. And just say, you are my super hero. Literally. You have the most beautiful family, career, and these childrens books you write, just absolutely melt me. My four kids, my husband, and I have read this advance copy so many times. The illustrations are just darling, the story and adventure was adorable, and the meaning just melted me with the conversations the kids and I had to follow. Everyone....go get this book! Buy it for all the special children in your life. Because it needs to be on every shelf. Every. Single. One. Thank you for this sweet book our family shared together, and had such wonderful memories with the follow up of it after. Add January 28 to your calendars and this book to your TBR. -Kelsey Vogeney @little_blue_book_hutch

The illustrations in this book are beautiful and engaging for young children. I really appreciated the diversity shown throughout the book, kid will be able to see themselves, their neighbors and their friends in the children featured in the book.

The message of wonder, adventure and being curious are things that I focus on frequently in my early childhood classroom. I love seeing the world through the eyes of a child, and all of the possibilities that await you if you just open your eyes to what could be rather than what *should* be.
