I really enjoyed Ozzy and Maren's story and Lola was the cherry on top!
I felt for Ozzy and Lola and the tragedy they endured. Lola's residual trauma that Ozzy accommodated and helped her work through was so touching. Maren and Ozzy's meet cute, was hilarious! I enjoyed the playful banter between these two and the obvious chemistry they had. I appreciated Maren's independence and a career she made for herself in a male dominated world was bada$$!
Emotionally, it didn't hit enough to be a 5 star, but it was a really good 4!

Single dad trope is one of my favorites and is becoming highly popular. This was done in a fresh and creative way. I enjoyed the back story of Ozzy and re- telling of the relationship with his late wife. Maren came into his life when he wasn’t looking. She was the perfect fit for him and their bathroom meeting, is one of the funniest scenes in the book. I can’t wait to keep reading more of this authors work. She writes real, relatable characters.

"I love you, even if it scares me to death. The only thing that scares me more is trying not to love you."

Jewel E. Ann has done it again! I cannot begin to describe just how much I loved this book. From Nowhere is just another reminder of why Jewel is still one of my favorite authors. Her books never seize to amaze me and this one didn’t disappoint! For me, this book was the perfect mix of two of my favorite tropes…single dad and small town. No one writes single dad romances quite like this author and this book was unlike anything I’ve read before. From Nowhere is a beautifully written story that will hit you with all feels! You’ll fall in love with Ozzy and Maren. Their sweet and emotional love story was filled with laughs, heartbreak, and plenty of spicy goodness. The chemistry and banter between them was done so well. There story is the kind of romance that will grab you from the start and never let go. It’s a definite must read for all single dad and small town romance lovers. I cannot recommend this series enough. I loved every bit of this story and look forward to reading more of Jewel’s books.

Ozzy is my new favorite single parent in any book. I loved this guy so much. Complicated, yet simple. He is so thoughtful and sweet. Gosh, I just get giddy when I think about him. I want to say more about him but I don't want to give any of the plot away.

Maren is the kind of heroine that I love and you can count on from Jewel. Strong, quirky, confident... A firefighting pilot. She is the perfect match for Ozzy. I loved all of her interactions with Lola.

Lola is an absolute hoot. She is 10, going on 25. She had me laughing so much. But she also had me in tears too. So much tragedy in her short life.

I also listened to some of this on audio, and I enjoyed it so much. The narration was terrific.

"Home is not a where, it's a who"

Ozzy, a single dad + airplane mechanic has a run in with one of the pilots, Maren. Sparks fly and whooing begins, but life (and Ex In Laws) seems destined to keep them apart. They keep sneaking around to spend time with each other so the In Laws + Lola doesn't find out. Reading about Maren + Ozzy's banter, Ozzy's struggle with moving on, and the things these two do to spend time together was such a treat.

I absolutely LOVE this series. These are interconnected standalones, but I do recommend starting with book 1 because so much backstory and character development is mentioned in book 1. Maren and Ozzie had my giggling and kicking my feet almost the entire time. Like her books normally, this book covers heavier topics, such as death of a spouse + death of a parent. I truly loved their flirtatious banter, lola's antics, and watching them fall in love. I definitely recommend this series!

Dealing with trauma is bad enough, but also having a child deal with it is another wheelhouse.

Izzy and Lola lost someone really special to them. Both of them have dealt with their trauma is different ways. Dad caters to daughter’s fears and Lola cripples her father’s future. But is this something they can over come?
Maren is living life to the fullest. Boy she can get into some doozies. No toilet paper, no tampons, food on her clothes. Having to embarrass herself further she asks for help. And falls in love. The tug of war these two face to come together is beautiful. And Lola she is such a doll. I really loved her from the beginning. She’s lost a lot in life but she makes up for it with determination and spunk.

Tropes: Single Dad, He Falls First, Tragic Past, Pilot/Firefighter FMC, Mechanic MMC,
Cinnamon Roll Hero, Secret Romance, and Small Town

Triggers: car accident(mentioned), death (mentioned), plane accident

This book had me from the first scene. Maren is a firefighter pilot and Ozzie is an airplane mechanic. They meet at work. Ozzy lost his wife 2 years ago in a car accident and has a daughter that won’t get in a car. They bike every where. Maren and Ozzy had great chemistry and so much great character growth for all the characters in this story. It was so well written with deep emotion that hit me in all the feels and amazing conflict that keep me glued to the book from start to finish. The spicy was perfect amount without taking away from the story.

I can’t wait to go back and read the first book in the series. This is my first Jewel E Ann book but it definitely won’t be my last. This book was provided by NetGalley and Montlake for review purposes. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I liked it but I didn’t love it! I think I had such high expectations after reading From Air as that’s one of my favourite romance books and I’m sad to say this didn’t quite match up. It felt like a book of two halves, I wanted the angst and tension that we usually get with her writing and i felt it fell short on that front, it felt very insta lovey for me and also their actions felt a little childish at times, not that of two people in their thirties. However, the second half of the book redeemed it for me! This was what I was wanting and hoping for and I loved everything from about 60%! The second half had so much emotion and my heart broke for Ozzy and Lola!

I would still recommend reading it because overall, I love the characters in this series and it could just be a me thing. I’m still looking forward to the rest of this series

Jewel E. Ann can do NO wrong. I’ve read all of the Wildfire series and Sunday Morning series and all have been easy 5-star reads that have made me both laugh and cry. Ozzy was the best dad to Lola. Giving up the things he did, because of her fears. Letting her heal through her trauma at her own pace. Putting aside his own happiness for anyone and everyone. He loved big and he loved hard. And Maren, I loved her in From Air and now I love her even more. She stepped into the role of dating a single father with nothing but patience and grace. But the fact that she fell for Lola first? She showed up to help Lola through her fears with absolutely zero pressure. My heart 🥹 Their banter had me laughing until my stomach ached. So many sweet and cute moments. I will be thinking about Ozzy and Maren for a long time coming.

Thankful for an ARC from Jewel, NetGalley, and Valentine PR. Read if you love secret romance, workplace romance, single dads, small towns, tragic pasts, love after loss, angst, and a cinnamon roll hero.

After finishing From Air, I immediately knew Jewel E. Ann would be an auto buy author for me. Her addictive storytelling, perfectly executed banter, and swoon worthy book boyfriends won me over.

Jamie is such a cool FMC she’s an air tanker pilot, and Ozzy is an aircraft mechanic, making this a workplace romance. Oh, and did I mention he’s a single dad and the biggest cinnamon roll? Their meet cute was hilariously adorable, and the banter between Ozzy and his daughter had me smiling nonstop.

And because it’s Jewel E. Ann, you know there’s going to be angst. This book explores grief, loss, and mental health after loss, making it both emotional and unforgettable.

Thank you to Jewel E. Ann and Valentine PR for the ARC

Magnificent! Each book Jewel E. Ann releases becomes my new top read! This was such a beautiful and touching story I quickly became immersed in, & couldn't put down. It is a story about the complexities of: navigating grief, death, single parenthood, tragedy, trauma, & learning how to live & love again. The characters are wonderful, flawed, kind and relatable. The plot was perfection. It shredded my heart, but Jewel E. Ann mended it with a beautiful, beautiful HEA. I can't recommend this book... This series enough!!!

This was such a fantastic read! Ozzy is a widower and single dad doing his best to help his daughter cope with the lingering fears from losing her mom in a car accident two years ago. Enter Maren—whom he meets in the most unexpected way (IYKYK). Their chemistry and banter are off the charts, but they both worry that the timing isn’t quite right. Together, they navigate grief, love, and healing in a way that feels incredibly realistic and heartfelt. Jewel E. Ann always delivers stories that challenge your thoughts and tug at your heartstrings, and this one was no exception!

Rating: 5. freaking. stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️

JEA does it again!!!! This 👏🏼 book 👏🏼 was 👏🏼 EVERYTHING!

The single dad trope is definitely one of my top 5 favorites, and this book nailed it! Honestly, every time I pick up a book by JEA, I know I am going to love it, but this one? This one might just be my absolute favorite of hers so far.

The banter between Maren and Ozzy was PERFECT. The way they joked around with each other? So freaking cute. My heart ached for Ozzy, but it absolutely shattered for his daughter, Lola. That little girl completely stole my heart. This book dives into some heavy topics like loss, grief, and PTSD, but it handles them with such care and tenderness—it was really beautiful to read.

I’m telling everyone I know to pick this one up, no joke. It's that good!

If Jewel E. Ann writes it, I’m all in—no hesitation. My love for this story is off the charts. It gave me all the feels, and I fell so hard for Maren and Ozzy. Their chemistry and banter had me hooked from the start. This is exactly my kind of romance—the teasing, the playful back-and-forth, the build-up that had me hanging onto every word. I adored every single moment between them.

Ozzy’s relationship with his daughter, Lola, was absolutely beautiful, and seeing his bond with Maren grow only made it more emotional. Their journey was the perfect mix of humor, heart, and love. This trio put me through it all, and that HEA? So worth it.

My goodness, this book and series are so good! I loved From Nowhere. I adored Maren and Ozzy. They were such a fantastic couple. This book had just enough emotion to hit me in the feels, but not so much that it was overwhelming. Very well done!

This book sucked me in immediately and I never wanted it to end. So many emotions - I cried, I laughed. Ozzy was absolutely perfectly written. Loved his relationship with his daughter and how he fell for Maren. So many emotional things for them to work through but what a fun, steamy, dirty talking, swoony, romantic read! As always, well done by Jewel E. Ann!

Was already a fan of Maren's after reading From Air. Adding Ozzy and Lola into her life just added to the fun. Ozzy and Lola's story was heart breaking and Maren was the perfect person to understand their pain. Their hilarious first encounter set the tone for their future. Your emotions will range from laughter to tears. I love that every Jewel story takes you on an emotional ride but always manages to put your heart back together in the end. Excited to see whats next.

THIS BOOOOOOOK. Wish I could give it a million stars! I could not be happier to have discovered Jewel E Ann’s books because they take me on an emotional, beautiful journey every time.

Maren is a badass pilot who fights fires for a living. When she meets Ozzy, a mechanic who works on her plane, they share an instant connection. But Ozzys life is anything but simple. His wife died in a car accident with his daughter in the car (who survived) but now she’s scared to ever be in a vehicle again. So Ozzy and Lola stick to riding their bike everywhere, limiting them to their small town. With Lola’s trauma, pesky in-laws and navigating the dating world for the first time since he lost his wife, Ozzy struggles to find a balance. But Maren is patient and knows what she wants, which is Ozzy and Lola.

I found myself rooting so hard for Lola the whole time. She’s been through more than I can imagine at such a young age and deserved to move on from what happened to her. I loved that Maren became a safe space for her and they could work through it together.

This is book two in the series and both books have been SPECTACULAR. I truly cannot wait for the next one!

I really enjoyed this one! I've always liked this author in the past and I was impressed with this one too!
From the opening chapter I was laughing and I continued having different emotions through out the whole book. It had me in all my feels which I loved! It wasn't just a quick fix it was a slow burn that kept me invested.

I absolutely loved the daughter in this book. She was such a comic relief and I just felt so much for her. Her whole world was rocked but she continued to be such a fun loving kid.
While also having my heart break for her since she was dealing with just so much.

Ozzy, the MMC was doing the best he could with his situation but was an amazing father that pulled at my heart strings.

While he didn't do everything right he was such a golden retriever that it was easy to forgive him. The poor man had a lot on his shoulders. Maren, the FMC was such a patient, kind and like-able character. Her relationship with Ozzy's daughter pulled at my heart strings. Also her patience with Ozzy and how he handled or didn't handle some situations was truly refreshing too.

I think what I enjoyed about this single dad story was it wasn't like any of the others l've read before. While it was a pretty quick "insta-fall" and did get spicy there was so much more to it. There was plenty of trauma, things to work through and so many different moving parts and feelings of all the characters. It was more about everyone overcoming the trauma they faced than simply a romance.

I love this series so far with my whole heart. From Air was my first Jewel E. Ann, so I knew I needed to request this the moment I could. Because I was too wrapped up in my own excitement, I did not even look into this book. I went in completely blind and it DID NOT disappoint at all. I laughed, I sobbed, I felt so much emotion and it was fantastic. Jewel E. Ann has become an auto buy!
