Another cute and heartwarming addition to the love on thin ice series! Highly recommend reading this and the rest of this multi author series

We all love a good hockey romance and Anne Kemp has done just that a good hockey romance
We meet Willa and Noah and their little town of Maple Falls, this romance novel was very well written. We see the difficulties that Willa and Noah go through but we see them overcome it and the epilogue
I enjoyed this romance novel, although written like a typical romance novel, I found myself not being able to put it down.
Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book is so cute and wholesome. I loved visiting Maple Falls through Willa’s and Noah’s eyes. The romance that blossomed between them was everything. They first met a few years ago when Noah & his PR team did something to jeopardize Willa’s career. Now she is back after rebuilding her career and is back in Noah’s vicinity. This book is second chance enemies to lovers romance that is clean. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for cozy, small town, second chance romance vibes. I can’t wait to visit Maple Falls in the near future

Penalties and Proposals is a contemporary hockey romance novel written by Anne Kemp. It is book seven (and the final book) in the Love on Thin Ice series. It is not necessary to have read the previous books in order to read this one, but characters do intersect throughout the series.
Summary: Noah Beaumont ruined Willa’s career.
She’s spent a long time building it back up to what it used to be, and now he is back in her life.
Can she be a professional and do her job without telling him off and losing the promotion she’s worked so hard for, or is history doomed to repeat itself?
Noah has made a lot of mistakes in life-one of them with Willa.
Can he show her he has changed for the better-and maybe even win her heart?
My Thoughts: It was a little weird that the heroine could go from obsessively hating someone to falling for them in a relatively short amount of time. But if you could get past that, there was a nice romance and storyline.
This one was a more of a one-time read for me, but I am glad I read it to finish off the series.
I would like to thank Red Bird Publishing for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my review. Thank you.

This was a short and sweet hockey romance that’s super light on the angst and focuses more on forgiveness and communications
As per the blurb, Willa and Noah have a bit of a past. Luckily, they’re able to communicate as adults and work it out and apologize.
It’s a novella, so of course the story moves super fast and it’s going to feel like things are wrapped up and everyone moved on really quickly, but again, novella.
I wouldn’t say this book life changing, but it’s cute. Would be nice for a quick in flight or road trip read
⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️Random notes from my read: CAN BE CONSIDERED SPOILERY⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
* I love that Noah is just immediately puppy dog eyes for her lol
* “because the salesman told me so”. I picture this said with the smuggest of looks
* Needs more Charlie!
Many thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for providing me with an ARC and allowing me to provide my honest review

Jumping into the seventh book of the Love on Thin Ice series was an unexpected delight, and I’m already hooked enough to go back and read the entire series!
Penalties and Proposals brought together two endearing characters, Willa and Noah, who start off a bit rocky but build an undeniable chemistry that’s hard to resist.
I loved how the story blended lighthearted romance with deeper themes, like coping with loss and finding a balance between career and personal life, without getting too heavy.
This cozy, clean romance will definitely warm your heart—and, honestly, it’s made me want to check out some hot hockey players too!

This was the continuation of the maple hills series and I loved it. I really enjoyed this series and am sad that it is over. Thank you for allowing me to read and review this ARC

This cute little hockey romance is a super quick and fun read!
Willa finds herself in Maple Falls, a sweet town hosting a bunch of hockey players for an event. Willa is supposed to capture photos of the team, but that isn't all she gets...
Noah burnt that bridge years ago walking into Willa's shoot drunk. Right?
This book is a paperback version of a hallmark feel good movie. Short, to the point, and no crazy conflicts within the relationship on the back end. I loved Willa's character growth within her career and learning to stand up for herself and her passion. This book also displays the trials that present themselves during the recovery process, which I feel like is not often discussed in books today.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and the author for providing me with an ARC of this book!

What a great way to end a series! I have read all of the books in this series and have loved them all. This one covers the re-meet between Willa and Noah. Noah was in a really bad place when they first met and he went to rehab to get help, years later they meet again in Maple Falls and this is their love story. Noah is a great hero and Willa is a really forgiving person to give him this second chance. Highly recommend.

Willa and Noah's story is one of redemption, second chances, and carving your own path. This was my first experience with this author, and I found the writing rather clunky at times. The epilogue, especially, overused dialogue for exposition. I have loved the Love on Thin Ice series and I'm glad I got to read Penalties and Proposals, but I definitely preferred the stories in the other books in the series.
Thank you to Xpresso Book Tours for gifting me with an ARC to review. All opinions are my own.

What an enchanting cozy read! My time at Maple Falls was pure bliss, wrapped up in comfort and warmth. The love story of Noah and Willa is the kind of romance that everyone dreams of experiencing in real life. And can we talk about that banana bread recipe? Absolutely delicious!
This book is the ultimate cozy companion for autumn. It's a charming, heartwarming tale sprinkled with humor that leaves you smiling from ear to ear. Perfect for curling up with a blanket and losing yourself in its pages!
Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy, and all my thoughts and opinions are completely my own.

Yes! Another Maple Falls hit. Loved reading about Willa and Noah. Willa is a strong and lovely female character, while Noah is a reformed hockey player. Their story adds beautifully to the rest that I have read. These books are for everyone and I think everyone would enjoy the lighthearted romance and friendships.
Thank you netgalley for an arc of Penalties and Proposals by Anne Kemp

I would like to thank Netgalley and Xpresso book tours for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
This was a bit meh, and a little bit of a letdown compared to the rest of the series.

Noah and Willa is a cute little story. Noah is a former NHL player who fell from grace and Willa is a photographer, who had a bad experience with Noah years ago and kinda hates him. She's stuck working with him to get the promotion she desperately wants. He feels terrible about their past encounter and wants to make it up to her. After talking through what happened before, they become friends and more. They're cute together.

I really enjoyed this book’ and found it very cute and sweet! It wasn’t the most gripping book I’ve ever read but it was a fun, easy read and I am loving the series!!

Penalties and Proposals by Anne Kemp is a light, sweet small-town romance with a second-chance, enemies-to-lovers twist. The story follows Willa, who’s determined not to get tangled up with Noah Beaumont, a reformed hockey star she’s had bad experiences with in the past. When they’re forced to work together again, sparks fly, and Noah is determined to prove he’s a changed man.
I gave this book 3 stars because while it has a fun, lighthearted vibe and solid character development, it didn’t completely pull me in. The tension between Willa and Noah adds some excitement, but I felt like the pacing was a bit slow at times.
Overall, Penalties and Proposals is a charming read with plenty of chemistry, even if it’s not one that totally wowed me. If you enjoy second chances and sports romances with a dash of humor, you’ll probably enjoy this one!

Penalties and Proposals is a swoon-worthy hockey romance that skillfully blends the classic tropes of enemies-to-lovers and second chances. Set in a charming small town, the story revolves around two former “flames” forced into close proximity, while grappling with past wounds, their undeniable chemistry is ignited. The hockey scenes are thrilling, but the heart of the story is the emotional connection between the characters.
With a strong sense of community and a “found family” theme, the novel offers warmth alongside the fiery tension. For fans of sports romance and heartfelt love stories, Penalties and Proposals delivers a perfect mix of passion, humor, and heart.

Quotes:
"Because some things are worth fighting for, even if it means stepping out of my comfort zone and into the unknown."
Thank you to the author Anne Kemp and NetGalley for the electronic copy of the book.

First of all, Thank You Netgalley for the ARC granted. A great way to finish a good and coy book series, with an enemies to lovers trope full of romance of good quality. I loved a lot!

This was my first sports romance book so far... I was so excited to read this book. The story was cute, tender, and has no drama (not much) it is a fast paced which is so easy to read it has no spice with few kiss scenes it is soooo teen friendly and if you don't like reading smut and you're into cutesy, sports romance novella this is for you.
The FMC willa is a photographer who has strong character but not sassy which pulled me to read this story. It's not must read but yeah it's a cute read. And Noah.... he is just sooooooo cute. The cutest. I loved his character and he loves self help books and the character developments of mainleads are just great, perfect example of "If he want to he will"
Tropes:-
Second chance
Forced proximity
Enemies x lovers (Enemies thing is one sided though)
Former bad boy (not a complte jerk)
Sports romance
I just don't want spill the beans so I'm just signing off quickly

This was a sweet and well written ice hockey romance with all the banter and flirting and a touch of past drama.
Willa and Noah have a really nice back-and-fourth chemistry going on. But after Noah finallay decides to take charge and make a move, Willa is brave enough to take the step too.

I am absolutely love these sweet romances with ice hockey players and watching their hearts warm. Yes.... it just melts me to the core 🥹🩵
This is a standalone in a series, and they are all equally as sweet and enjoyable to read.
I recommend this to anyone who enjoys some drama, tension, swooning, pining, and HEA.
