What a wonderful addition to the "How to Catch a...." series! It gives some humor to a hard situation for most kids - a new addition to the family. I think this would be a great story to read to a growing family! The illustrations are bold, colorful, and full of detail. Any child would love having this book in their library!
Thank you Alice Walstead and SOURCEBOOKS Kids for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book via NetGalley! This review was written voluntarily and all opinions are my own.

How to Catch a Babysaurus is a tremendously sweet and fun continuation of Alice Walstead's series of children's picture books. It will surely be a favorite among her devoted list of readers and followers. The illustrations are captivating and engaging-- with vividly detailed scenes of characters depicting pages of rhyming text. The young boy-- the main character of this story-- begins this book by describing how adamantly he does not want a new addition to his family. His parents do everything they can to persuade him that having a sibling will be the most wonderful adventure! Be sure to preorder and read this delightful book to find out how everything turns out and how this wonderful young boy will make room for the new addition that is certainly coming his way!

A truly adorable addition to the series! Great read-aloud! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read!

A beautyfull Picturebook.
With minimal text and maximum visual storytelling, Hope to Catch a Babysaurus is perfect for read-aloud sessions and for children to explore on their own.

This is definitely a cute silly book with great illustrations. The colors are very vibrant and the artwork is engaging enough to tell its own story alongside the word. I can imagine this being a crowd favorite for many families. my toddler for sure loved pretending to help catch the dinosaur.

My kids love this series and were very excited to read this one too. They have asked me several times to re-read. It’s also fun seeing books outside the holiday themes and opens up to many more books. This is a hit with toddlers through kindergarten for sure

The newest installment in the How to Catch series is as cute, clever, and fun as its predecessors. This time, we follow a family preparing for a new arrival. The only child is understandably confused about what this change means. Through a series of adorable, action-packed illustrations, we get to watch the journey of adjusting to life with a new sibling and the blossoming bond between them.
The illustrations are vibrant, dynamic, and engaging; perfect for capturing young readers’ attention. As always, the rhymes are quirky and fun, right in line with what fans of the series have come to love.
I’d absolutely recommend this book to children ages 3–10, especially to families navigating the uncertainty and excitement of welcoming a new sibling.
Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Kids for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Super cute story. This will make the kiddos laugh. This is a beloved series in my library and can’t wait to get a copy in the library for them! We are slowly building our collection. Prefect for K-2 students. Its a fast and easy read aloud.

How to Catch a Babysaurus is the lastest book in the How to Catch a… series and I think that young readers WILL love it! It’s a fun spin on the serious topic of mom and dad bringing home a new arrival. In this story, the new arrival is a babysaurus and has some of the same “powers” as a real baby. The main character plots against the babysaurus to try to capture it, but eventually the two become great friends. I love this twist and I think it’s a great way to present a “new arrival” in a fun and positive light.
I would recommend this fun read for schools, libraries, and caregivers that share a love of reading with children ages 4 and up.
Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Kids for the opportunity to review an eARC of this

Am I the only one confused on if it was implied to just be a normal baby sibling or an actual dinosaur? ha.
It was a cute story with great illustrations. The emo looking hairstyle was different to see in a childrens book but otherwise it was cute!

I received an electronic ARC from SOURCEBOOKS Kids through NetGalley.
Readers may identify with the concerns raised about a babysaurus entering their lives. We see how he sets traps that fail and finally comes to appreciate how important the babysaurus is. The illustrations capture the humor and fun along with the real concerns older siblings may feel.

Just like the other books in this series, this one is a lot of fun and has beautiful artwork. A babysaurus is coming and we know what to expect--bad smells and loud screeches. But of course you know that babysaurus will win over our narrator by the end. Super fun!

My daughter owns a good chunk of these books already so being able to read this early was amazing. I can’t wait for this book to come out so I can get it for my daughter. This book is a cute, kiddish way to transition your child into becoming an older sibling!

This book is adorable! I enjoyed reading it with my kiddos. It would be a great book to read when a new baby is entering the family. It may help the transition and understanding for older siblings. Definitely ideal for 2-4 year olds!

This series is always fun to add to the store and makes great baby shower gifts!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A cute new addition to the how to catch a series, but I do think it would have been an even cuter twist if the baby had turned out to be a real baby sibling. The baby dinosaur didn’t seem to make as much sense but my 9 yr old enjoyed it.

I was so excited to receive this ARC because my family loves this series! My kiddo loves dinosaurs too so this was a fun read.

This wasn't my favorite of the "How to Catch a...." books. It was cute as the others are, but this one might be better received by families adding another sibling to their homes.

5 out of 5 stars – A Delightfully Dino-mite Adventure!
How to Catch a Babysaurus is an absolute hit! Alice Walstead has created yet another imaginative and playful story with rhyming text that flows effortlessly, making it a joy to read aloud, and the vibrant illustrations are fun and engaging.
The clever traps and inventive ideas the main character came up with to catch the adorable Babysaurus kept me guessing what would happen next. It's a perfect blend of humor, adventure, and creativity. This book is a great addition to the How to Catch series!
Highly recommend for bedtime, classroom reading, or just a fun afternoon story time!

This story wasn't our favorite. Still a good, fun read, but my kiddo's reaction to it wasn't the same as the other ones. We will still follow along in this series and pick up hard copies when they are on sale! Mom's opinion, I kept waiting for babysaurus to pop out as an actual human baby. Over all, I give it a 3/5.
