Ava and Damon's story wraps up the Primas of Powers trilogy. I enjoyed seeing their relationship evolve throughout the story, but I didn't love the story. I liked the premise of how they become closer by being the maid of honor and best man. It made for some fun situations. The book is on the longer side for a romance, and I wish the story had a faster pace.

4.5 ⭐️ Roman has officially made my top book boyfriend list okay 😭 The way he loves , encourages her, and is always there for her whenever she needs him at a drop of a hat made me SWOON ! This book was such a great finale to an entertaining series! This book had me giggling , frustrated, annoyed, giggling again , then annoyed and frustrated again LMAOO very much a rollercoaster of emotions. The ending and the epilogue made it all worth it though 🥹 Can’t believe this series is finally over omg.
Ps: coming back to say this book actually read me to filth and the FMC was almost too relatable …hit a little too close to home 😭
Thank you Avon books for the physical and digital ARC 🩵

Every people-pleaser deserves a Roman in their lives! I love a good romance and Alexis Daria delivers again. If you’ve read the first two Primas of Power you’ll enjoy this one as well. I did find myself doing some mental gymnastics trying to remember all my high school Spanish for a bit of the dialog, but don’t let that dissuade you! These characters and family groups are so worth getting to know.
Middle school teacher Ava has been left by her husband after a 10 year relationship and, not only is she now alone- her huge invasive family continually victim blames her and pushes her to reconcile with the uninterested ex. While at a conference she decides to let the Universe lead her and ends up having a bad drink at the bar and a fantastic one night stand with the hotel’s owner.
Roman, the hotel owner, has enough on his plate with expanding his empire and taking care of his mom and little sister’s problems- whether they need him to or not. He doesn’t have time for anything serious. But he makes time for Ava by clearing his packed schedule when she unexpectedly decides one night wasn’t nearly enough.
Roman and Ava literally cannot stay away from each other. At first, because they don’t want to. Ava seems to seek out comfort from Roman whenever she is feeling particularly low and Roman is happy to indulge. Then, because they end up as Maid of Honor and Best Man in the same wedding. The wedding duties throw them together and they need to figure out what they are going to do with these pesky “feelings” that were not a part of their original plan.
I feel for Ava as her family trounces all over her feelings and lack of boundaries. I did wish she relied on the other Primas more, it was hard to see them wanting to be there for her and her keeping them at arm's length. But it was wonderful seeing Ava grow a backbone when the tias and abuela start picking apart the younger girls like they did to her. I also feel for Roman as he realizes that he can’t just fix everything for those he cares about. This book was equal parts swoon, steam, and all the feels. I’m sad this series is over, but I can’t wait to read whatever Alexis Daria puts out next!

Thank you to Avon and NetGalley for the advance reader copy of Along Came Amor by Alexis Daria!!
After her divorce is official, Ava meets hotel owner, Roman, and embraces having a one night stand with him. While Ava looks for a no strings, no feelings fling with Roman, this proves more difficult as time goes on because Roman has feelings and because both learn they are connected beyond their arrangement.
Oh my goodness. I desperately wish I had the words to express how utterly incredible this book is! The last book in the Primas of Power series is PERFECT!!! I love Ava’s story. I found her to be so relatable sorting through her desires and her family’s expectations that she’s always yielded to. I love premises with no strings and no feelings arrangements. I love how this book starts immediately with Ava and Roman meeting because you know from the beginning how perfect these two are for each other. Roman is wonderful for Ava not simply in his feelings for her but the fact that he’s willing to grow himself along the way. I also love that throughout the story we get time with Jasmine, Ashton, Michelle, and Gabe.
This last installment in the Primas of Power series must be on your TBR!

Ava is ready to let the universe take the lead for a change. After her divorce is finalized, she's ready to figure out who she is now and what New Ava is like-despite her large family with loud expectations trying to tell her who she should be-in measured and careful steps. Until a sexy stranger in a hotel bar comes along and challenges who she is and what she could be if she embraced her needs first.
Ava's love story hit me unexpectedly hard. And it wasn't just because her and Roman had beautiful and honest moments, it was because of the love for herself that grew. This was as much a romantic love story as it was a journey of self-discover for both of the main characters. Author Alexis Daria once again does a fantastic job of bringing to life the complexities of being Latina in a close-knit Latine family and delivering swoon-worthy romances. And I think that Ava's story might be my favorite of all the primas!
Thank you to Netgalley and HarperCollins for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
4.5/5 ⭐️

I always love books by this author and this is yet another spicy read! There is such great chemistry between the characters and you can’t help but get sucked into the story. A perfect beach read for the year!

really fun, well written romance with good characters, good vibes, and a strong romance! i didn't read either previous book in the series but it didn't feel like i needed to. 5 stars. tysm for thea rc.

Along Came Amor is the third and final book in the Primas of Power standalone series.
Newly divorced Ava decides to let loose while she is at a conference. She wants one night of fun with no strings attached. It's almost as if the universe heard her wish when hotel owner Roman Vasquez approaches her. Their memorable night eventually leads to another night...and then several more. But when it's revealed that Roman is the best man in her cousin's wedding, she decides to put the brakes on things. As much as Ava resists it, she helplessly falls for Roman and his wooing ways.
This book was wonderful! I loved every page of this book. Alexis Daria did an amazing job of crafting this story, giving the characters and story lots of depth. I read the other two books in this series and I was curious to get into Ava's head. I knew that she was a selfless person and a person who is always helping others. This book helped me understand Ava and what made her tick.
Roman was one of the most SWOON-WORTHY book boyfriends that I have ever met. He was a man who took care of the people he loved and there is something so sexy about that. I loved that he valued communication and that he could admit when he was wrong. It also didn't hurt that he was a successful businessman but had the looks of a Hollywood heartthrob. The best thing about Roman was that he wanted to give Ava the strength and courage to be honest, to take charge and to stand up for herself. He made her the center of everything even though she was not comfortable with the idea at first.
The ending of this book blanketed me in joy and bliss. Not only did Ava and Roman get their HEA (one that made me cry tears of happiness), but the ending gave us a happy ending for the Primas of Power. It showed us how beautiful supportive friendships can be and that those kinds of relationships need to be valued as much as romantic ones.
This is 2025 must-read that you won't want to miss!
Steam level: 🔥🔥🔥
⚠️: divorce, mention of fatal car accident

This book is long which is a bit of a time, but it really worked for Ava's journey. I really do not prefer 500+ page Romances but it was really nice seeing Ava grow and she was given time to work things out which I appreciated. Alexis Daria explores Ava's people pleaser nature in a nuanced way that really worked for me.
I loved Ava and Roman togther and they had such a fated element to their dyanmics which worked with the larger story arcs. Roman was perhaps a bit *too* perfect at times, but I did like that we saw them argue and work through a lot of things together.
Seeing Jasmine and Michelle on page was so much fun and I loved seeing all their partners become pals. The guys giving Roman advice was SO GOOD. I will say I was spoiled on an element of this story that I wish had been a surprise beacuse it happens sort of late in the book.
Ava standing up to her family was amazing and I wish her family hadn't accepted her anger and apologized so quick bc these people were ALOT and it didn't seem like the issues could be fixed so quickly. <spoiler> Look I know Ava standing up for herself was empowering and I loved it for her but I WANTED ROMAN TO FIGHT THESE PEOPLE but I get that this was needed for both their arcs BUT I WANTED ROMAN TO TELL EVERYONE HOW GREAT AVA WAS </spoiler>
I also really loved the epilogues and the series epilogues were so GOOD!! I CRIED!!!
This series has such a special place in my heart and I'm sad it's over!!

This was the perfect ending for the Primas of Power trilogy. It gave me all the feelings. I loved that we got to see Ava have her happy ending! The romance in this is top notch and the self-reflection and development we get to see Ava's character go through was so rewarding.
For those that have read the other two books, we finally get to see into Ava's head and how she became the prima perfecta and why she feels she must be that way. For any eldest daughter or individual who has felt they have to be perfect to receive care or love from their families this book will pull at your heart strings. I feel like how we see Ava struggle with her wants and desires was so relatable, and frustrating, and real. I absolutely loved this.
It was fun to see the characters we've grown to love and as always watching these primas be there for each other was *chef's kiss.* If you are looking for a rewarding romance that doesn't shy away from the challenging stuff we bring into relationships you will want to pick this one up! It was so good!
4.5 Stars rounded up to 5.

The way I LOVED this book so much! You don't understand how amazing Ava and Roman are, they fit in a way make me believe in soulmates. Ava finally realizing that she deserves to be loved without any conditions and that helping her move forward. It's so easy in a tight knit family to but the needs and wants of others first before your own especially in a family like Ava's. Roman being there for her and learning that the biggest thing she needs from him and respecting that was beautiful. Thank you Avon and NetGalley for this arc.

I’ve loved all the books Daria has published, and Along Came Amor is no exception! The story of Ava and Roman is raw, real, and all kinds of steamy. The evolution of both characters together and as individuals was beautiful to witness! Though Along Came Amor does stand alone, reading the previous two books in the Primas Poderosas series helped, especially since the other two primas did play a big role in this storyline!

Ava, divorced schoolteacher, and Roman, self-made business mogul, have a chance meeting at the bar of one of Roman’s hotels. A one-night stand turns into no strings hook-ups when Ava requests them. Then they see each other at an engagement party. Ava’s cousin’s engagement party of which Ava is the maid of honor and Roman is the groom’s best man. Lines get blurry fast. Roman falls first, wants more and works to persuade Ava to want more too. Along Came Amor, the third book in the Primas of Power series, is a strong addition to the trilogy.

I have been waiting for Ava's story for so long. I knew she was going to get a story because her marriage wasn’t all that. I knew Ava needed something more than what she settled for. Thankfully, Ava is staring over even though she doesn’t want to, but she gets to meet Roman, who is literally made for her even though they don’t know it yet.
Ava and Roman may have started off with one night, but their chemistry for each other is off the charts. Their one night extends to multiple, which is great for me. I can see them together; they just need more time. It also helps that they are both connected to each other in some way with the upcoming wedding (Ava's cousin and Roman's best friend). What a small world. It’s definitely going to get a bit messy for Ava, who prefers to have everything in order and in control. Roman is going to make her realize that life isn’t meant to be control; just live together, preferably.

It was a long wait but Along Came Amor was a great conclusion to this series from Alexis Daria!
I loved the meet cute between Ava and Roman and seeing their relationship develop. Ava’s hesitations were very understandable given her background but I did want to see her address it sooner than the last five percent of the book. Roman was an amazing character - I loved his devotion to family and Ava, and how mature he was about Ava’s history. The epilogue was an awesome conclusion to this family we’ve grown to love.
I voluntarily read a gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I loved this. Ava and Roman have my whole heart. Ava felt a little too relatable at times and while I understood where she was coming from, I wanted her to just choose him. I felt so bad for Roman a lot of the times. Part of me wanted Ava to grovel just a tiny bit more, cause Roman was so understanding and vulnerable with her. Being an Ava myself, I just wanted her to stand up and be honest. But knowing how hard that is broke my heart so much. Alexia Daria has such an honest take on Latin culture that felt so easy to dive into and understand the characters on a real level

I enjoy Alexis Daria as an author and enjoyed going back into this friend group. With the gap in reading the first two books to this third book, it was difficult at times to remember what happened in the first two, but overall I always enjoy when authors include past characters! I felt that the characters were mature in their conversations, but didn't enjoy the back and forth the female main character had with her reasoning for not wanting a relationship. Overall a good read and would recommend Daria's books! I also enjoyed the FMC sticking up for herself with her family and finding her voice!

I love the Primas of Power series, and could not wait to get my hands on the final instalment in the series. Ava and Ramon’s story is supposed to be a no-strings fling, but the undeniable chemistry between them is impossible to ignore from the beginning . While there's plenty of love and spice, this story also explores the importance of healthy communication and setting boundaries. Ava, a classic people-pleaser, is forced to confront her over-involved family, while Ramon is pushed to reflect on his tendency to overwork and try to fix his loved one's problems.
This book did not disappoint, and I especially appreciated the epilogue which fills you in on all of the Primas of Power.

Thank you Netgalley for the advanced reading copy! This was a sweet and thoughtful ending to the Primas of Power trilogy. A divorced school teacher falls for a hotel, business man mogul, but her family and their past trauma interfere. I think the best part of this book is the family drama and Ava working through her anxiety about learning to love again after a divorce. I loved that these were two adults who were learning to open up past their expectations and their careers, and I loved the happy ending for everyone - including all her primas/cousins being involved in the story. What I did not like about this book was the length - this book being over 500 pages is wild, truly there should have been some cuts, it definitely felt like it dragged at points. I recommend this book for fans of Alexis Daria, Latinx contemporary romance, and romantic comedies.

I have read and enjoyed this whole Primas of Power series by Alexis Daria. Each one is a treat, the family dynamics are so relatable!
