I’m so thankful to have been able to read an early copy of this book.

This was an excellent closure to this trilogy. I have loved how the characters build on each other and we see the other relationships continue to mature and grow.

I love how Ava and Romans relationship begins because it feels so natural and genuine. Both characters seem to stay true to who they are and the heat is fun and spicy.

This book took my heart, broke it apart and put it back together.

There was so much healing and character development. I loved seeing Ava work through her heartache, her pain, her past traumas into a person that has finally realized she is worthy of healthy love.

Roman, oh my goodness, I loved him too. He was mindful, and when he fucked up, he truly took a step back and listened. He actively LISTENED and had a healthy conversation about it.

This did so much for me and I loved every single minute of this book. It was beautiful.

Thank you to Avon/Harper Voyager, and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Phew!!!! Along Came Amor was steamy hot and incredibly enjoyable to read. As the final installment of The Primas of Power trilogy, Daria gives us Ava’s love story. As the “Perfect Prima”, we find Ava at the finalization of her divorce from Hector, the image of her perfection shattered and the subject of countless family discussions. What did Ava do wrong? As she struggles to establish the “New Ava” post-divorce, in comes Roman, a handsome hotelier with a lot of wealth and a need to fix all that is wrong in Ava’s life. The issue - Ava doesn’t want to be saved like a damsel in distress. Although they are in very different parts of their lives, Roman and Ava are drawn towards one another and develop a secret romance that turns into so much more. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Ava and Roman’s love story - the hemming and hawing or “will they” or “won’t they” storyline kept me engaged until the very end. Even though we all know how romance novels end, I loved the involvement of the primas’ families and their roles in how the relationships developed. Coming from a Cuban family, I can speak from experience that the chisme is REAL! I’m sad to see the end of the Primas of Power, but Daria did a wonderful job wrapping the entire trilogy up and would highly recommend not only “Along Came Amor” but also “You Had Me at Hola” and “A Lot Like Adios” as your next summer time romance read.

Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager and Netgalley for an ARC of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

ALONG CAME AMOR is the third and final book of the Primas of Power trilogy following three cousins and their journeys falling in love. Ava and Roman meet at one of his many hotel bars on the day of her divorce being finalized and Ava, who has always been the dependable one in her family, the “good” girl, decides to have a one-night-stand that eventually turns into more. As months go by, Roman makes himself available to her whenever she needs him until they realize they have another connection.

I really liked the first two books in the trilogy and ALONG CAME AMOR was just as entertaining, emotional, and steamy. I loved seeing how Ava and Roman’s relationship grew through the twists and turns of the story, and how their insecurities and convictions about pleasing and going above and beyond for their families were explored.

And while I thoroughly enjoyed the majority of the story, Ava’s thoughts and consistent hesitancy about her relationship with Roman being revealed to her family felt extremely repetitive. She spent the last third of the book thinking of nothing other than how being openly with Roman would just end in absolute disaster for her that it was a relief to not only Ava and Roman to have things out in the open, but to me as well.

In the end, ALONG CAME AMOR was a delightful conclusion to the trilogy and readers will love being able to revisit their favorites from previous books and to sneak a peek into their futures with a great epilogue featuring all three couples.

This was an easy read, I really like Ava and how she grew in this book. Roman was perfect for her and pushed her in the right ways to help her grow on her own. I did not like any of Ava’s family, I haven’t read the first two books and I’m debating because even her cousins upset me in this. Overall, I enjoyed this book so thank you NetGalley for the arc.

-Tight-knit family and friend group

if you want to read a book where sparks fly between a divorced teacher and a millionaire, this book is for you. I enjoyed it a lot. The immigrant representation, the hesitance to tell the family, the growth and the opportunity to love again!! I enjoyed this book a lot.

I knew this book was going to be close to 5 starts and one of my favorite books this year 4 chapters in. The chemistry being Ava and Roman was electric. He showed her what it means to be loved and always listen to her. Even though I thought that Ava should have gone no contact with her family for a while especially when they kept bringing up her ex-husband, I understand why she didn’t, and I am glad she learned to stand up for herself.

Primas of Power conclusion was just as great as I thought it would be. This is Ava’s story, where she lets herself be who she truly is and goes with the flow. She meets Roman and everything is rocked in the best way. I love this story for Ava, she grows so much and truly finds who she truly is.

I love the way Alexis writes and this was no exception! I wanted to smack some sense into Ava the entire book because of how Alexis wrote her but we all need to give it up for Roman THE best male lead in this trilogy. It’s a bit more slow paced than the first two but once it hooks you it speeds right along. Definitely recommend

I had awaited this book for three years since the last time I read a book from this series. I appreciate Alexis Daria taking the time needing to wrap this series up in a way that wasn't rushed. I enjoyed seeing all of the couples lives now!

I didn't connect with Ava as much as I thought. I found her immature and unnecessarily distant. That's what ended up being the biggest reason I did not enjoy this book. I did however connect with her not wanting to be a "good girl" any longer.

I also thought this book was a bit too long. Online it says the page count is 512 pages.

To end this on a positive, Roman was amazing and I think my favorite mmc from this series. He was upfront and seemed genuinely caring

Thank you to Avon and HarperVoyager for the eARC

So this was my first Alexis Daria book, and it did not disappoint. I bought the rest of the Primas of Power series books because I fell in love with the characters. Along Came Amor is the 3rd book in the series. There are many references to the first book, however, you do not need to read them in order. This book focused on Ava and Roman. Ava is a divorced teacher trying to find a new version of herself when she comes across Roman, a sexy CEO who turns her world around. I loved Roman, he was sexy, attentive, and a competent adult. I loved the chemistry between Ava and Roman, the conversation around family, and meeting expectations. Although it was a fun, sexy book, I felt like I was getting my own free therapy session out of it. I can't wait to read more for Alexis Daria.

I have loved Alexis Daria and her Primas of Power since You Had Me at Hola. Along Came Amor continues Daria’s trademark wit and slow burn heat. Protagonist Ava Rodriguez is written as a character most (if not all) of us can relate to - the good girl who smiles and does as she’s told, at eventual expense of her own identity and mental health. Meeting a man who goes on to support and nurture Ava’s journey of bravery and independence sets a beautiful scene for this love story.

This book is made for the eldest people pleasing female family members. Ava literally does it all for her family, and I really hated that she allowed that to limit her life so much. Roman is easily one of my favorite book boyfriends as he literally listens and acts. It was insta love for him as he kept being so patient with Ava. I am sad to see this series end, but this one was not one of my favorites. Thanks to Net Galley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Overall: 5/5
Spice level: 3/5
Tropes: he falls first, CEO, opposites attract, fling to forever, secret relationship

Hands down my favorite of the 3 books! In this book, the author crafted one of the best, most beautiful spice scenes I've ever read.

I felt a lot of sympathy for Ava's character. She was such a people pleaser throughout, but when she finally found her voice and set boundaries, I was so proud for her. Being the go to person for everything among the family is exhausting and leaves no room for self care. I love that love gave her the courage she needed to finally live for herself. It showed strong character development.

Roman was so... Just SO. Everything. It was endearing how he made space for Ava to be herself and let go. He also experienced a lot of growth during his relationship with Ava, and friendship with Aston.

I enjoyed this book so much and can't wait to what the author has in store next!

“Let me show you how much of a treasure you are.”

So excited to have the final Primas of Power book.

What I liked:

My favorite part of this series will always be the friendship between Jasmine, Michelle, & Ava. Yes I love the romances, but the deep love & affection the primas have for each other will always be the best part.

Roman 🔥 I love me a besotted man, and Roman is so far gone for our girl Ava.

Ava learning to stand up for herself and advocate for herself.

What didn’t work for me:

There were some parts that felt a bit repetitive.

This was such an amazing book. I haven’t loved characters this much in a long time. Roman is everything you could ever wish for in a MMC, and Ava is representative of the struggles so many of us have with feeling like we’re enough and worthy of being loved. Roman meets Ava right as her divorce is finalized, and the two share an amazing evening together. Ava sets boundaries to not develop feelings, but Roman quickly finds himself wanting more. This book is a quick read and a perfect slump buster.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

this was so good!! from their first meeting, Ava and Ramon are captivating. Their chemistry is off the charts and bleeds off the pages. Watching them slowly fall in love was one the best thing I've read (i don't think that makes sense, but ya know).

Alexia Daria blew me away with this book. It was worth the wait. Ava and Ramon were worth the wait. This is my favorite of the series. This book is full of love, angst, pain and a man who knows how to communicate!!! The writing was beautiful.

With that, i will end with one of my favorite quotes from the book, "Everything he was and ever would be was tangled up with her." <3

I loved this series from Alexis Daria and really enjoyed Ava's story. Ava's two cousins, Jasmine & Michelle had found their happily ever after in the first two books in this series. Ava, a middle school teacher who was married, thought she had her HEA, until her husband, Hector, decided marriage wasn't for him & they divorced. A few months before Jasmine's wedding, Ava goes to a teacher's conference, and meets a tall, dark & handsome stranger. She decides it is time for a no strings attached one night fling, and spends the night with him. The stranger is Roman Vazques, owner of a chain of hotels, one of which Ava's conference is in, and one rum distillery. Ava continues to daydream about her liaison, but Roman is intrigued, and would like to see her again. Ava is hesitant for several reasons, one is her recent divorce, it came out of left field for her, two, her large, nosy, opinionated extended family, who all seem to think Ava is available to help them sort out all their problems, in other words, she has boundary issues with everyone in her family, three, she feels unsatisfied at work because she wants to start a drama club at her school , and the principal keeps putting her off. Ava feels the need to have control her sex life, at the very least. They agree that Ava has to initiate contact if they see each other again, and every time she does, Roman drops everything to be with her. At Jasmine's engagement party, who does she run into but Roman, who happens to be the best man to her maid of honor for Jasmine's wedding. Can Ava & Roman carry on their affair, without her family or friends finding out? Can Ava overcome her trust issues with a new man and her family? Will she get her HEA with Roman? It's definitely worth finding out in this charming romance story. Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins Publishers for an e-proof copy to review.

Along Came Amor by Alexis Daria is the third book in the Primas of Power series (and my personal favorite) featuring a millionaire MMC and teacher FMC having a secret fling.

Ava is officially divorced and decides to stop questioning everything and embrace the “new Ava”, which leads to an amazing one-night stand with a millionaire hotel executive. She wants to leave it at that with no strings and no feelings, but takes his business card just in case. Roman is focused and determined to continue building his empire, providing for his mom and younger sister. But he cannot stop thinking about Ava. This book was everything! I loved the trust and compassion that was built between Ava and Roman. The way the author was able to represent family pressure and gender roles/stereotypes was spot on and at times uncomfortable, in a very authentic and real way. I felt like I was rooting for Ava and Roman the entire book, becoming so invested in their story!

Thank you to NetGalley, Avon and Harper Voyager, and the author for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Primas of Power are back with the third and final book, Along Came Amor! I have loved each book and each woman finding their HEA, but Ava's story touched me in ways I wasn't expecting.

Newly divorced, Ava is having a hard time adjusting to life after marriage. She's a people pleaser and her family is WAY too involved not only in her life, but with their opinions at what she should be doing. So, while at a work conference, Ava takes some time for herself and to try something new. When that something new turns into one beautiful man (Roman) making her a delicious drink and then stealing her away for a no strings night in the hotel penthouse, Ava almost seems like she has broken free from the chains that have bind her. But back to the 'real world' she goes with her meddling, opinionated family that takes advantage of her and she just wants to go back to the carefree no strings night with Roman.

Roman is a successful businessman that is basically all about work. He doesn't truly date and his work is his lover. He works to live and to take care of the women in his life, his mother and sister. When Ava walks into his hotel bar, he can't help but listen and just be there for whatever she needs. And whatever she needs is a night with him just forgetting. But after the one night of no strings, Roman can't help but think about the flawed woman that allowed herself to open up to him. And when she comes calling, he rearranges his schedule for whatever she will give him.

I have to say that Alexis Daria gave us the ultimate book boyfriend with Roman. I loved that he was gentle, yet strong, protective and determined to wiggle his way into Ava's life. He didn't force anything and gave her the gift of time and space. He was an excellent listener, even when he made some major mistakes in that department during one scene that had me very frustrated with him. He rolled it back and LISTENED and acknowledged his actions!! Where is a Roman for me?!

While Roman was this amazing man, I felt for Ava and everything she was going through. I wanted to just hold her and tell her to jump. Jump and take your chance on life. But life threw her too many curveballs for her to just jump. She was a thinker and calculated every move, every decision. And though that could've put Roman off, it forced him to really listen and be there for what Ava truly needed.

"Life is risk. Love is risk. And it's worth it."

Roman and Ava's journey to their HEA wasn't easy and became messy in Ava's eyes, but it was all worth it. They listened to one another and they communicated. Plus, their physical connection was strong from the start and only got stronger as they got to know one another. IT WAS HOT!! They did run into issues, but they learned to communicate and support each other's needs. I loved the strong Puerto Rican rep and the way each of their families played a role in who they became. I also loved all of the supporting characters. From Ava's BFF, to Roman's BFF, to the Primas, this was just a good book with a great cast of characters that helped push the story along.

Overall, Along Came Amor is a sexy and emotional story about personal growth and breaking generational trauma within the Latine culture that also included an amazing cast of diverse characters that you will love. I'm sad to see this series end as I fell in love with all of the cousins, but I'm excited for what will come next from Daria.
