Silver Elite is set in a dystopian society where the Corporation has been ruling over the population for 150 years, since a biotoxin almost wiped humans out. Those who remain are either primes (immune to the biotoxin) or modifieds, who possess psychic gifts courtesy of the biotoxin. Mods have to hide their identify and their gifts, or face execution or labour camps.

Wren, the FMC, is a Mod who has hidden her identity for her entire life. After committing a careless mistake, she finds herself not only at the mercy of the corporation, but forced to become a part of the elusive Silver Block, their most impressive unit. She’s soon recruited by the Uprising, the rebel group at war with the Corporation.
She’s soon torn between loyalty to her kind, and the feelings she begins to develop for her Captain, and her fellow recruits.

One of the best dystopian romances I’ve read in a long time, Noughts and Crosses meets the Hunger Games meets Divergent!
I was hooked straight away, i love the way the authors writes and couldn’t tear myself away from the story. Unlike other female protagonists, I warmed to Wren, and Cross might be my new favourite book boyfriend.
I strongly recommend.

Thanks to NetGalley and Del Ray for allowing me to review this ARC. I’m really looking forward to the next one being released!

I’m so happy to have got an ARC copy of this book.

I would describe it as a fourth wing mixed with a divergent style romance. So if you enjoy romance with a bit of a dystopian twist this is the perfect book for you.

I liked that the character development for the main character (Wren). It was easy to follow and you can see how there is ample opportunity to expand and grow in any follow up books.

The romantic relationship initially is a bit dark but grows into something quite sweet. I’m looking forward to a second book showing how it develops.

I also really enjoyed how the book references our current society in little ways that remind us what impact we are doing to our environment.

I am enthralled by the cliff hanger ending and have so many questions. Though I don’t want to leak any spoilers, I look forward to discussing once the book is released.

A solid 4.5/5 stars rating

Thank you to Netgalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone for giving me an E-Arc of this book

“Nothing good ever comes from the notion that one group is better than another.” 🌟

Wow, that was one of the easiest 5 star reads for me this past year. 🌟

I was so excited when I was approved for this arc as I had seen a couple booktok people whom I trust implicitly post about this book + it did not disappoint!

Reading this brought me back to my high school reading days where I would stay up all night + devour dystopian worlds with glee (I’m looking at you hunger games 👀.)

This book was fast-paced + captivating from the first page. I was able to get through it in less than 2 days + when I wasn’t reading it I was still thinking about it. 💭 I think it does a very good job showing how there is never a “good” or “innocent” party in war. It’s definitely poignant + thought-provoking in these scary + uncertain times.

Even though I’ve been desperately wanting to read about 30+ FMCs, I found Wren (20 yo) to not be entirely insufferable. Yes, she is naive + impetuous but it serves the narrative + plot well. Do I believe that a character who’s as mature + level-headed as Cross is can actually be 22? AND a male?? No, absolutely not. But!! I loved him so much that I’m willing to overlook this ridiculous detail.
(I also enjoyed Kaine + for some reason kept picturing Roe as Kieran Culkin)

I feel like the romance aspect was done super well in this book - I’ve grown tired of reading books where the characters are jumping into bed every single chapter so this was refreshing. Yes, there is open-door romance. No, I don’t think it detracts from the story. (In a high stakes environment where people are training + dying it makes sense that they would seek out certain comforts.)

I’m not a big highlighter, but I did find this quote to be pretty cute: “We spent our whole lives loving each other from a distance. We can do it for a little while longer.” 🌼🐺

In conclusion, definitely add this to your TBR if you like a fast-paced dystopian, sci-fi, romance vibe with a small side of smut + a lot of the word “keen.”

This is the book I didn’t realize I had been waiting for. Immersive, exciting and dramatic, “Silver Elite” is a dystopian romance that the world is going to love! Thank you to Del Rey for the gifted copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved Wren’s character, fell in love with Cross and absolutely adored the character building of all the side characters with Kaine rooting his way into my heart. Without giving away spoilers, the ending surprised me and left me ready to read book two immediately. (Dear Author- please publish it soon!) While I try to patiently wait, I will be unpacking the letter Wren finds at the end and guessing what might happen next. I loved Jim’s character and wish we saw more from him, but I liked the flashbacks and memories Wren shares from him. 5/5 stars- I can’t wait to discuss this with all the people I convince to read this one!

4.5/5 ⭐️This was such a good time! I know a lot of people are going to compare it to Hunger Games for adults. A more recent comparison is to Powerless, except Silver Elite is more fleshed out, and not such an obvious copy of other dystopian books. Our FMC Wren both feels like an actual 20-year-old, and also more mature and complex than a lot of 20yr old FMCs. She makes some questionable decisions, especially in the first half of the book, but she learns and grows, and doesn’t make the same bad choice time after time.

I also really appreciated how Dani Francis explored Wren’s questioning of right and wrong, and trying to decide where she fits into her society. As a young woman she has a lot of valid questions, and I feel like Francis handled them very well.

I am so excited for this book to come out, and have already recommended it to my friends and discord. I’m already eagerly anticipating book 2! Thank you for the arc.

I am officially obsessed with this story! Silver Elite takes place in a dystopian world where a biotoxin almost wiped out the earth’s population 150 years ago. Now, people are either Prime, immune to the biotoxin, or Modified, enhanced with psychic gifts.

Wren Darlington is a Mod living in hiding. But after helping a friend in trouble, she is noticed by the Continent’s military and forced to join their elite Silver block. There, she meets Cross Redden, her commanding officer, enemy and the man she is undeniably drawn to.

Silver Elite is a slow burn, enemies to lovers, forbidden romance. The chemistry is explosive, the banter is top notch and the cast of characters add so much depth to the story. This book sucks you in from the very beginning and will have you on the edge of your seat. There are twists in the story around every corner. Silver Elite is book 1 in a trilogy and of course it ends on a cliffhanger. This book will not be released until May and I’m already CANNOT WAIT for book 2! If you are a romantasy or dystopian fan, I highly recommend you pick this one up! I can’t stop thinking about it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Worlds Del Ray for the opportunity to read an ARC of Silver Elite in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
I felt really nostalgic reading this book. It brought me back to my youth and me reading dystopian novels.
I enjoyed the setting and the characters, it was addictive to read. Even though some things were a little predictable, I was still hooked for page one. The only thing I did not like was the spice, I hate open door romance and it was a bit to sexual at times.
Other than that I loved it! I am really excited to see where this series is going.

Thanks to Del Rey for the gifted copy of this book!

“But the lines are blurring. God, they’re blurring.” … and in more ways than one! Wren is Modified - “enhanced” by a toxin and hunted by the Prime, who are immune and don’t have any special abilities of their own. She knows she’s supposed to lie low… but she’s impulsive and ends up in the crosshairs of the Command, recruited to train for acceptance into the Silver Block. As she tries to hide her Mod identity amidst a sea of Primes, make it into both the Command’s Silver Elite and the rebellious Uprising, she also can’t help but catch the eye of the captain of operations.

Oh my GOSH this book!!! I am addicted. I stayed up past 1am (I am not a late night girlie) and finished reading 560 pages within 36 hours. I couldn’t put it down! This is the dystopian read I’ve been searching for after being hooked on Divergent. The tension is through the roof in this one, and I loved the world and good vs. evil and seeing how Wren dealt with all the blurred lines. There’s some predictability, but some good twists in there as well. And seriously, it’s just such a compulsive read packed with action and banter and it’s just hard to put down! I need more. Can’t wait for the next book!

I’m finally over my reading slump! I thoroughly enjoyed this book! If you’re a fan of dystopian novels and miss Tris and Four from Divergent, you’re going to love this one! It kept me thinking about it all week at work, and I found myself fighting off sleep just to keep reading late into the night.

The story hooked me right away, and I felt a strong connection to the characters within just 50 pages—something that doesn’t happen often for me!

I guessed a certain something very early on. I also had a feeling where the ending was going, but was still shocked by something!!

Tropes:
❤️‍🔥 Enemies to lovers
🗡️ Knife to throat
🐍 Betrayal
🩶 Hidden abilities
⚔️ Rebellion

Thank you to the author and Netgalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was everything I needed. I felt connected to the characters and really felt the emotions along side them. The world building was nice in that it wasn’t far fetched or hard to follow. It felt relevant and possible. The plot was addictive and I wanted to know what would happen next constantly.
Really loved this! Looking forward to book 2!

For fans of Veronica Roth's Divergent series, Rebecca Yarros' Fourth Wing, Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games, the TV series Firefly, and low-key spy novels: here's a brand-new world! First-person female narrator Wren has an unusual and secret skill, and is recruited against her will into a military organization that she ultimately works to subvert. Fun storytelling, realistic and relatively mature decisionmaking (less teen angst-ridden than some other dystopian YA), and thankfully less of the overdone "spicy" sex scenes than in Yarros' books. I enjoyed this, and look forward to the next in the series!

Actual rating 4.5 ⭐️

This book was so fucking good!!! I love so many characters, but Wren and Cross are fucking awesome!!! I loved their relationship soooo much and they might be my favorite fantasy romance couple after Xaden and Violet. It was so action packed and fast paced that I managed to read it in one sitting as I couldn't put the book down.

That ending had me really intrigued and I absolutely can't wait for book 2!!!

Wowww this was definitely a fast paced and addicting read!
Read this if you like:
🕊️Dystopian setting
🕊️Psychic abilities
🕊️Enemies to lovers
🕊️Forbidden & slow burn romance

This book was definitely a mix of Divergent/Hunger Games and Fourth Wing but maybe a tidbit spicier!
I loved the MMC, Cross, he had so many hidden layers in his personality that I believe we have yet to see! Also he had such a filthy mouth gahhhhhhhh 🥵
Wren was a bada$$ and I really loved that she knew what she wanted!

I liked the world building and the characters as well as their dynamics but at the same time I feel like I wanted more? Idk if that makes sense but I would love some more plot and maybe less romantic scenes to preserve the angst! Also, it would be nice to see more strong side characters.
The plot twist was kinda obvious to me but I still liked it!

This does not end on a cliffhanger but I'll be waiting for the next book to see how things will go!

I love a good dystopian book and this gave it all! Romance, action, a world damaged, it hooked me from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down! Thank you so much for the opportunity to read it! I can’t wait for the next book!

Thank you so much to the publisher and netgalley for the e-arc!

Pre-review:
I haven't been this excited about a book in so long. I have heard such good things about this and it being compared to fourth wing made me jump for joy. I can already tell this is going to be one of those books that keeps me up way too late, unable to stop turning the pages. My expectations are sky-high, and I have a feeling this one is going to live up to the hype!

Post read:
I absolutely devoured Silver Elite! it’s completely addictive. Wren is fierce yet deeply human, making choices that aren’t always right but always feel real. The world is morally complex, with no clear good or bad, which kept me constantly questioning where my loyalties lay. And the romance? Absolute perfection. I loved the chemistry between Wren and Cross the only thing was I was hoping that their emotional connection was deeper before their physical relationship started. Thank you to Del Rey, NetGalley, and Dani Francis for the opportunity to read this phenomenal debut early—I will be thinking about it for a long, long time.

I really enjoyed this book, especially how the world-building was done. It was easy to follow and really helped immerse me in the story. Wren was a strong and confident main character, which made her journey even more compelling. The romance between Wren and Cross was one of my favorite aspects—it was a slow burn, full of tension, and felt incredibly well-developed. While I did guess a couple of the plot twists early on, it didn’t take away from how much I loved the book. Overall, it's a fantastic read that keeps you hooked from beginning

Wow… where do I begin!
From the first couple of chapters I was hooked. The plot was established early on along with the chaos that continued to unfold.
This book gave me all the nostalgic dystopian vibes I have been missing in my adult years.
The MFC Wren was everything I wanted and the slow burn romance that is established within the book was everything! Perfectly executed with just the right about of spice for the storyline.
I can’t wait to see where the story is going to go and find out where the true corruption lies.
I loved the cliffhanger ending, leaving us with more questions and the yearning of this storyline along with the romance of Wren and Cross.
Amazing! Loved every moment of this book!

If sci-fi + dystopian + fantasy had a baby it would be this book.

Felt like I was a teenager again picking up Divergent or The Uglies, but make it adult version.

I enjoyed many of the characters in this book, especially Kaine. I need more of him! Even the evil ones were intriguing too, which is importante for a story to feel fully engaging and not too focused on just the main characters. I appreciated this about the book and hope to see more of the side characters continuing in the series.

I loved the sci-fi and dystopian aspect of this book. This was new for me and loved the modified vs. primes!

Silver elite was a breath of fresh air from the usual fantasy romance books I read. It follows our main character Wren who lives in a dystopian world, Mods are abnormal and Primes are considered normal. Something happens that leads her to be recruited by the very enemies she's running from. I love how within the first five chapters, the inciting action had already taken place which really sets the pace for the book. . Overall I loved how complex the secondary characters are, especially Kaine and Lyydie. Unfortunately I did not find the plot twist to be very surprising, it was very predictable. If you're a fan of Divergent and The Giver, you'll enjoy this book.

Wow, one of my top reads of the year. This book is for fans of Divergent, Fourth Wing, and Shatter Me. The pining, the world building, writing, and character development kept me on edge. I am totally in love with Cross. The plot twists and betrayals kept me guessing. I need book 2.
