3.75 stars! I had a fun time with this one.
An Irish Summer follows our FMC, Chelsea, who recently lost her job in Boston and is offered a job at a hostel in Ireland. Going completely out of her comfort zone and straying from her well-thought-out life plan, she moves to Ireland for the summer.
I enjoyed the introduction of the book a lot and felt I got to know Chelsea very quickly which helped me become invested in the story. The setting was immersive, and though I have never traveled to Ireland, it felt like I was there. The love interest was very respectful, which is something I value a lot in contemporary romances. I enjoyed the way the book addressed Chelsea's dilemma in which she questioned if she was being true to herself by sticking to the plans she made based on potentially outdated dreams. At times her indecision was annoying, but I understood the importance of it in the plot.
I would recommend this read if you are in the mood for a Hallmark-esque romcom with a summer abroad setting.

What a cute read, following Chelsea who loses her job and decides to take a summer job in Ireland while figuring out the next steps. I enjoyed watching her connect with her coworkers, finds what she ultimately was seeking and her overall development throughout the story. There were some slow moments, some times were i struggled to connect or remain focused but overall was an enjoyable read that many can relate to when trying to figure out “what’s next”.

Chelsea's world comes tumbling down when she is informed that O'Shea's B&B has been sold, and she has a month to vacate her apartment. It's the only job she's ever had, after graduating college. With no prospects, Chelsea accepts a position for the summer at the Wanderer, the sister hostel in Galway, Ireland. What will she find when she gets there?
This was a fun book. It was a predictable romance, but I enjoyed every page. Highly recommended.
Thanks to NetGalley for giving me an advanced copy in exchange for an unbiased review.

Thank you to NetGalley & Avon and Harper Voyager for this ARC!
This book was a super light, cute, and Hallmark-vibe love story, and would be suitable for a YA audience. I struggled to finish this book because it was very slow at times and did not have much depth or conflict in the characters. The FMC's inner dialogue/thought process was a bit overplayed and repetitive, but some of the side characters were fun additions. I don't always need a super deep plotline, but found myself growing bored and not wanting to get to the predictable ending. Good read for those looking for a light, sweet Irish adventure.

Thank you to NetGalley, and Avon and Harper Voyager for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I thought this was a cute and light read with Hallmark vibes. It felt more like a coming-of-age book rather than a romance but still had feel-good vibes. The book had a slow start but still kept me interested, while also having me squeal at some moments. I also enjoyed the vivid detail of Ireland. I truly felt like I was there in the book. We see parts of Dublin, Galway, and the Irish countryside, along with Irish lore. It made me want to travel to Ireland immediately. The story itself was enjoyable but not my favorite.

I received An Irish Summer by Alexandra Paige as an Advanced Reader Copy. Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager and author Alexandra Paige for the opportunity.
Chelsea has a stable job she loves and everything is going great...until it isn't. She becomes homeless and jobless within a month and has some big decisions to make.
She accepts a summer gig at a hostel in Galway, Ireland not sure of the outcome. When Chelsea arrives, she is cynical and closed off to accepting all the opportunities that Ireland can offer.
Collin, a tour guide at The Wanderer, tries to help Chelsea see the beauty in Ireland and all it has to offer. Will he be able to make her see that there's more to life than money and working?
This novel is full of adventure, self reflection, friendship, laughter, and well...LIFE!
A favorite quote from the book: "Time spent does not measure family, Chels."
I highly recommend picking this up! It's 5 Stars for me!

Actually 4.5⭐️
I loved Chelsea's story and her and Collin's love story.
Initially I had read a previous review stating that Chelsea was an unlikeable character who never changed her mind, and I couldn't disagree more. Without giving away any spoilers, the book takes place over the course of a summer, any amount of growth and change is substantial, and the amount Chelsea's character had felt realistic and believable.
I will definitely be recommending this to others.

An Irish Summer would make just about anyone yearn for a fun, summer adventure in Ireland. So much so, that while reading the book, I found myself searching for travel and adventure groups online. I’m ready to go!
Chelsea, however, isn’t so ready to go. After her life in Boston gets turned upside down, she is offered a chance to move to Galway, Ireland for the summer to get back on her feet and add to her resume’. She is emotionally kicking and screaming along her journey, but eventually realizes what an amazing journey she is on.
Chelsea’s refusal to embrace the adventure and opportunities while in Ireland drove me crazy, but her personal journey to acceptance made it worth it.
Filled with self-discovery, love, laughter, and a few tears, An Irish Summer is a great summer read.
Many thanks to the author, Alexandra Paige, publisher, Avon and Harper Voyager, and NetGalley for providing me with an Advanced Readers Copy of An Irish Summer.

This was such a fun and cute read! I’m a sucker for any story taking place in Ireland. I felt like I could really see myself there having visited before and with the imagery we were given. I love Collin and Flo. Chelsea was a great main character as well, but I did get a little annoyed with her constant decision making battle. But at the same time, that’s me when I have an important decision to make, so I get it! Love love love this book and didn’t want it to end.

Fun and silly! Nothing exceptional but it entertained and had its own little twist on a straightforward romance. I enjoyed dipping into the Irish setting and thought the book delivered well against it's premise. I prob wont think about this book ever again now I've read it, but I enjoyed it while it lasted. Good for reading by a pool or on a flight to Ireland!

Chelsea's life was upended when the owner of the inn she lived and worked at decided to sell the place in favor of retirement. With a push from her best friend, Chelsea's moved to Ireland and promised herself it was just until she found a new job in Boston and that she wouldn't allow herself to fall in love with Ireland or the people in it. Colin and her new friends in Ireland had other plans.

This book was such an easy read and it was easy to relate to the struggle of the main character in choosing to do the "right" thing or follow her heart.

Today, I want to share my quick review of An Irish Summer by Alexandra Paige. This heartfelt story follows Chelsea, a woman in her late 20s whose stable, comfortable life is uprooted when her job suddenly ends. With nowhere to go, Chelsea takes a temporary summer job at a hostel in Galway, Ireland, determined to make it a stepping stone back to Boston. But plans rarely go as expected, especially when she meets Collin, a charming tour guide who turns her world upside down. As Chelsea explores Ireland, builds new friendships, and questions her carefully laid plans, she’s torn between following her head and listening to her heart.
If you love adventure, “office” romances, personal growth stories, or need a sign to follow your heart, An Irish Summer is the perfect read. Add it to your TBR—it’s an inspiring summer story that will leave you dreaming of life-changing possibilities.

***Thank you Avon or Harper Voyager for providin a complimentary copy of this book for review.

Such a cute book! I appreciate the chance to read early from Avon and Net Galley! Almost 2 years since my Ireland trip, so it was fun to picture all of the fun places mentioned in the book. My hopeless romantic heart loved the story!

This book was 4.5 stars for me. This is a well written romance that takes place in Ireland. The whole story gave me leap year vibes with Amy Adams. The main character is from Boston and taking the summer off to figure out her life and things don't turn out the way she imagined them. I think this story can relate to readers of all ages. While ages 20+ may comprehend better, it's about finding your way in life and realizing we don't have it all figured out. It's ok to embrace where you are. The bonds of old and new friendships are tightly weaved into the characters and story. I love Ireland and the culture. This book did a fantastic job of showing the differences one may experience in Boston vs Ireland. It had a lot of humor and makes for a great summer read.
Thank you to Harper Collins and netgalley for providing me this ARC for my honest review. All thoughts are my own.

I gave this 3.5 stars. I enjoyed it, but I felt like there were times I was a little bored. I liked the characters and all of the Irish parts of it.

This was a charming romance with elements of a great story that left me smiling. I adored the Irish culture and Collin’s character was perfection. Chelsea was overly predictable and I felt her inner monologue made her unlikable.

An Irish Summer is perfect for anyone who enjoys a slower pace hallmark-esque romance set over seas.
While at times quirky and lighthearted, I found this book a bit too slow for my liking. I didn’t connect with the FMC and unfortunately did not find myself rooting for her.
On the flip side, I did enjoy the setting of the book and learning about the Irish culture and landscape.
2.5/5

Thank you, Avon and NetGalley, for this ARC!
This was a light, fluffy book in the best way. I would have loved a bit more substance and character development—it just fell a bit flat for me. But, I enjoyed this and would read more from this author!

I really enjoyed this book!
It was sweet and cozy and I felt like I was transported to Ireland.
I loved Ada, she was such a good friend no matter what and I adored Flo.
I loved Chelsea and Collin. He was obsessed with her and I was so in love with him.
