While I appreciate the goal of this book, I struggle with surface overviews like this. Without meaning to, they can perpetuate stereotypes. Why, for example, is the only family from Africa from a nomadic tribe, not a modern Kenyan family? Not a book I will choose to introduce young readers to the wonderful diversity of our world.
