This book was wonderful. It pulled on all my heart strings and made me just want to hug both Ro and Matty. The characters were both so lovable and so broken. Watching them come together and support each other was the best part. I loved the slow build of their relationship, it was not forced at all. Getting to see into both of their heads and see their self doubt and self negative talk was heartbreaking. I loved how they both lifted the other up and fought for the other when no else did.
I want both Bennett and Kane's stories next and I hoping we get them.

“I think you’d be really easy to love”
This book was a beautiful read. Peyton covers delicate topics with true care and compassion and has a way of making you feel yourself in her characters.
I am honestly normally not a friends-to-lovers, slow burn gal but this book has me rethinking that stance.
Playboy hockey player Freddy (Matt) meets crafty, ray of sunshine tutor Ro.
If you’ve ever felt the need to minimize yourself to fit in someone else’s world (hi, it’s me 🙋🏻♀️) you will connect with Ro.
If you’ve ever dealt with the loss of a parent and long to feel love and be loved, you’ll connect with Matty.
A book I will be recommending to all who will listen 👏🏻
Thanks to NetGalley and Peyton Corinne for the chance to read this ARC before release 💕

I really loved this book better than the first one in the series. I loved how Ro and Matty were able to find healing within each other in a healthy way. Matt was always there to reassure Ro in times of confusion while Ro was there to help Matt through his guilt, I found Ro annoying at times with her denial and obliviousness to her own situation. Especially when she would reassure Matt by telling him he’s such a great person but can’t figure out that Tyler wasn’t? At the same time I wanted to smack Tyler for hurting Ro so I have a love/kind of dislike with Ro’s character. I absolutely loved Matt’s character, he was so sweet and gentle with Ro in helping her understand and open her eyes to what was fake about her relationship with Tyler. I’m still confused about the new player on the Team; Toren. I cannot figure his purpose or motives but he seems to show up at just the right time with Sadie and now with Ro. He’s very mysterious that’s for sure and I need answers about him. Bennett is confusing in this book because what in the world is going on with him and Paloma? He clearly likes her something but why? Overall, I truly loved the meaning of this book which I would describe as healing and wouldn’t mind reading the next book to get all my questions answered! Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.

Ugh this book was so incredibly beautiful, deep & emotional. I absolutely adore the way Peyton writes her stories, characters and the care & love between them. There was SO much love, support, growth, patience and healing in this book. Ro & Matty truly needed each other. They deal with pain and grief and it was beautiful watching them learn how to navigate those things together and help each other through everything. The way Ro works with Matty and gives him the understanding he deserves is amazing. She truly sees him. And to be loved is to be seen, to be known, to be understood. Matty is a GOOD man, and Ro & him are perfect together. I loved every second of getting to know them and their stories, individually and together. This book definitely pulled on my heartstrings and I will 100% be rereading this again.

thank you NetGalley, Atria Books, & Peyton Corinne for an ARC of Unloved in exchange for my honest review ❤️

Leave it to Peyton to have me bawling at 1am!!! Unloved broke my heart to then put it back together again! These two characters, Ro and Freddy, are everything! They had me wanting to legit wish I could jump inside the book and protect them.
This love story was captivating, unexpected, and unputdownable. You will cry, you will laugh, and you will love every single second!

It’s a dual point of view following Freddy and Ro. Two broken characters who give everyone else love, but are too scared to receive any in turn.
Ro is an emotionally abusive relationship. She doesn’t have any one she can turn and ask advice from. She’s constantly willing to help others, but who’s helping her? She ends up tutoring Freddy. Freddy has a few academic disabilities and a lot of people doubt him. He constantly feels left out whether that be friendships or school. Ro advocates for Freddy, while Freddy is always there to comfort Ro.
The way they were able to read through each other’s facade was heart warming to read. However, both of them are too nervous to push the boundaries of their new friendship leading to miscommunication and assumptions.
Throughout the book the momentum of the plot never slowed. The character balanced each other well. Overall, I absolutely loved this book.

Prepare yourself for allllllll of the feelings 🥹. I really enjoyed Unsteady so I had high hopes and expectations for Unloved and Peyton did not disappoint!
These characters are so relatable and lovable at the same time! Rosalie was in a toxic relationship and just wanted to be loved. Freddy is the sweetest lover boy ever and he just wanted to feel like he mattered for more than his body. The slow burn build up between these characters was EVERYTHING I wanted and we can’t forget about the character development. This is an absolute must read book!
Thank you NetGalley and Peyton Corinne for the ARC!

Unloved is book 2 in Peyton Corinne’s Undone series. It follows Ro & Matty as they navigate grief, abuse, friendships and relationships. This friends to lovers book had me squealing and you would have had to pry it from my dead hands because I couldn’t put it down. Honestly, books like this one poke at the soft & slightly still broken parts of me that want to feel seen. They make me feel less alone and I end up feeling so deeply for these fictional characters.
So let’s get into it: Ro’s growth was exactly what I needed from her character. She was also so relatable and selfless, you couldn’t help but adore her.
Matty’s growth and healing journey were also so well depicted. The way Peyton described the vulnerability between these two was something else but the male vulnerability in particular was everything.
Peyton Corinne also did such a fantastic job of showing how these characters found it so easy to see the good in each other but not in themselves. They both had this intense need to be loved & to belong and to see them find that in each other was beautiful.
Also, the things I would do for an Elsie & Archer book/novella 😩 it takes a lot for me to remember side characters after finishing a read lol but these ones were unforgettable
Overall, I am very much obsessed with this entire universe now. I read this one before book 1 because I didn’t want to miss release day deadline but I am absolutely a Peyton Corinne stan and will immediately be reading unsteady now.

Thank you SO much to Peyton, Atria Books & NetGalley for providing me this arc in exchange for my honest review ♥️

I completely and utterly loved this book!
Matty and Ro are the epitome of friends to lovers and this read was exactly what I needed to set me up for February reading success.
Highly recommend this and Unsteady.
Thank you to the publisher and author for the ARC

Review
I gave this book 3 out of 5 stars. I do not think it was good as the first book but it was okay. I think it was just a little basic for my tastes which is why I gave it 3 out of 5 stars. I do think that the chemistry was good between the characters. It had some tropes that I also really liked. Some of which include hockey romance and college romance. I probably would not recommend this book to others.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

What an interesting and intense love story. I fell in love with both characters, Ro, short for Rosalie and Mathew Fredderic. They called him Freddy as he is a hockey player in college already he has been recruited to Dallas. Freddy wants to finish college but he is having a difficult time due to he has dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD.
He meets Ro at a party, he is her first kiss. She may be a bit drunk but she knows who he is and she remembers everything!
Back to school and back to tutoring. Little does Freddy know his new tutor is none other than Ro! At first meeting they don't have a great first day. That night though they meet unexpectedly at another party. Things get interesting. Ice is sort of broken. He may or may not start falling in love with her.....
There may be some intense boyfriend using on again off again crap in here and it's with Ro and a different guy one you will love to hate!
Happy reading !!

The follow-up to Unsteady did not disappoint at all. There is something about Peyton Corrine's writing that keeps me turning the pages! I devoured this book in one day, getting lost in Freddy and Ro's story, While these books are undoubtedly romances, the reader gets to unpeel the layers of complex emotions and relationships. Unloved is specifically about grief and love and how those two can be intertwined. I loved everything about this book: the side characters, the relationship arc, the family drama. I especially enjoyed the reappearances of Sadie and Rhys along with the other supporting characters. I will be eagerly awaiting book 3!

Very sweet romance, and i really enjoyed the complicated relationship dynamics. She has been shamed for having a high six drive while he was been used only for sex. Loved seeing the two of them help each other heal.

This book was so good! It shows that you are worth so much and don’t have to settle for anything less than perfect!
Freddy and Ro’s love for each other was healing!
Thank you so much for the ARC!

This was a beauty of a book! I was so hooked from start to finish. My heart was both bursting and hurting for Matty and Ro. I love hockey romance, but this was so much more in all the best ways. The relationship and connection between Ro and Matty honestly took my breath away. The maturity and the way they cared for each other even through some really tough stuff was so well done. As a survivor of narcissist abuse I wanted to scream for Ro and Matty so many times and even though it was a rocky road for them both their journey wasn't an easy one, they got through it together. I also enjoyed getting to experience Sadie and Rhys's relationship from Unloved from an outside perspective.

Thank you to the author and publisher for this e-ARC
I loved unsteady so much and was very excited to get unloved as an e-arc
Unloved just sort of fell flat for me. I found the writing clunky and overall confusing at times. I literally had to double check they were written by the same person because I felt like this one didn’t flow at all
I also understand this is a “coming of age” book but the MMC and FMC literally running from eachother over and over and over was so odd to me.
This book was also very long - it could have been about 1/2 the size and had the same effect for me
Overall this was just okay
3 stars from me .

Freddy is a left-winger on his college hockey team. He could be drafted into the NHL immediately, but for personal reasons, he wants to finish college before playing hockey professionally. His learning disabilities—dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD—make his goal unattainable. He needs a tutor, and lucky for Freddy, he’s got Ro in his corner.
Ro has struggles of her own. She’s in this toxic on-and-off relationship with her boyfriend, who treats her horribly.
All Freddy and Ro wants is to be seen. And feel appreciated. The friendship they formed and how it slowly transitioned into a romance. It was beautiful to read. Peyton Corinne knows how to pull all the emotions out of me with her writing. I was heartbroken, angry, and happy on behalf of Freddy and Ro. These two are the most tender-hearted characters I have ever read in a romance. I just wanted to wrap my arms around them and protect them from everything that could hurt them.
It was heartbreaking to see them struggle with their self-worth and question whether they’re good enough to receive the love they have both dreamed about. But on the same token, it was beautiful to see them realize that they deserve the love they have both been dreaming about and that the person they have been looking for has been beside them all along. Oh, it was beautiful. They became each other‘s champions when other people tore them down. They became each other’s person.
It is nice to see Freddy realize that he is smart despite his academic struggles, which make learning difficult. It was beautiful. It made me cry. I’m crying while writing this review. It was glorious to see Ro finally stand up to her toxic ex-boyfriend.
Just as Unsteady Unloved has become my favorite book of the year, I don’t think I’ll have another reading experience like this one. I read it in one night, and I just kept crying.
Thank you, too, the author and NetGalley, for the arc of Unloved. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This author has such a tender, romantic way of writing. She handles delicate topics with care and compassion and it’s so refreshing to see in the romance genre. Much like with the first book, I was hooked from the very first chapter. I knew going into this that it would be a tough read, but the author does such a fantastic way of cushioning the blow and the pain. I loved the buildup to Ro and Freddy’s relationship - It was so healthy and good and all the happy things that made me kick my feet in absolute glee. My soul ached but in the best way possible. If there was any way to root for their romance… their friendship anymore, then i would. This will definitely be the book to beat in 2025.

Thank you so much Netgalley & Atria Books for the lovely opportunity to read this absolutely wonderful book. This is my first book of Peyton’s and I’m going to now go read the first as soon as I can!!
Also Peyton, the acknowledgments.. I was sobbing reading them (the beginning of them) and I want to give you a hug so bad 😭
This was so devourable. This was also a very beautiful read about love. Two people who were not in good relationships before meeting eachother and showing each-other what true love is and building good trust and love for one another was my favorite thing about this book. It shows you can heal from past relationships and find someone who is definitely meant to be and perfect for you.
I absolutely loved the slow burn in this, the build up of the relationship was done perfectly and the emotional connection between the two was palpable. Rosalie and Freddy (Matt) I adore them so much they both deserve everything good and I am so glad they’re giving eachother that.
I genuinely am so glad I got to read this as an ARC and getting introduced to Peyton’s work this way because this book was so loving and I want to hug both of these characters so hard. I love their gentle love and they had immense personal growth as well in this because of one another.
Thank you so much Netgalley & Atria Books again for the lovely opportunity to read Rosalie and Freddy’s story. I am beyond thankful. This book is a treasure and beauty.

This book was not for me. Writing felt juvenile but I’m sure this is the type of book someone else can read for sure!!
