After College, by Erica Young Reitz, is an inspiring piece of writing for anyone interested in what life should be like after graduation. Reitz is very realistic about what sorts of challenges young people face in our country and globally, and it is that sense of realism and empathy that carries this text throughout. What makes this work so powerful is its unique perspectives on the need for faith in a graduate's life; this is new material that can certainly lead those going into the workforce onto a path not only of prosperity but also to spiritual fulfillment. Many texts devote their time to the need to be monetarily successful. Reitz relays to readers that there is room for God in this equation. For one to be great is to embrace not only the tangible successes that are certainly out there, but also God's love and word to the point of religious bliss. This is a must-read for all graduates.

This book was refreshing to read after graduating college recently. There were some parts that I disagreed with, but overall it was great to hear someone else's thoughts about navigating life after college. I've never read her book prior to this so I'm not sure about the changes from this edition and the last. My favorite part of the book were the questions and Scripture references after each chapter. I highly recommend not to skip those as they were really helpful in getting my thoughts out.

If you are about to graduate or you already have then I recommend you this book. It will help you navigate life after college.

I have worked with college students for almost 40 years. Reitz has produced a resource that has been desperately needed for all those years. She has combined some of the greatest wisdom and stories from her own journey and ministry with other students into a stockpile of wisdom for making the transition from college to professional life. The advice is practical, straight forward, and timely. I highly recommend this book to everyone who has a college senior in their life and for those who are about to graduate and move into the "real world."

Frames the post-college experience around the biblical theme of entering unknown lands, with compassion for how overwhelming and disorienting that stage of life can be.
