This is definitely a book that's trying to pull you into a series, but that didn't totally work for my. While I found Ariel interesting, the plot wasn't super compelling to me. I might just be hitting a wall on special teen girls because I was really excited about it when I started, but it fell flat by the end of my read. Despite the cliffhanger, I'm probably not going to invest in book 2.

This was a decent book! It really didn't catch my attention well enough to really like it. Honestly, after I finished the book my first thought was what did I just read. Sadly I didn't like it as much as I really wanted to.
