Really useful and handy book to have, instructional and helpful, it’s bright and cheerful and really informative

This was a fascinating book because it showed how crochet can be made to have the finish that might make it hard to distinguish from knitting.
Unfortunately I did not have the time to experience and experiment with the instructions so I cannot provide a more detailed review as to how easy the instructions are to follow etc.

As someone still starting out in crocheting this is a very informative book and is laid out in a way that is easy to understand.

While I am a bit of a crochet novice, I was pleased with this title. I was able to challenge myself and learn a few new stitches. I will totally want to have a physical copy of this one for future reference, its impossible to remember every move! Great for the experienced crochet persons but easily understood for the determined beginner. Clear and easy to follow!

I loved this even more than the first book as it fits my personal style more. An amazing resource for crochet stitches that create more textured, "tighter" and less holey looks. This book is an excellent tool for creating your own pattern or zhuzhing up existing ones.

I especially appreciate that each pattern comes with written instructions, diagram instructions and a picture of the finished piece!

Good book for basic essential crochet stitches for beginners. We come in useful as I am new to crochet.

I highly recommend this handy little guide for the more intermediate crocheter. Full of beautiful pictures, crochet diagrams, and written instructions for every pattern, this book gave me so much inspiration! I received a digital arc of this book, but I plan to buy the book for easier reference.

Essential Crochet Next-Level Stitches is a beautiful collection of 100 crochet stitch patterns. You can use the stitches for many of your projects so the possibilities are endless. Each pattern comes with a photo for reference and this collection is good for both beginners and experienced crocheters. charts are included as well if you prefer to use those, I like using both myself.

I always enjoy books of stitches! They're fantastic for adding something a bit different to what you're making. I used a few different stitches from this book to make a few scarves and add edging to a dress I made my husband's niece. The photos and patterns are very clear and easy to follow. I've been crocheting for over 15 years, so am a fairly advanced hooker :P, but I feel like these would be easy for most newer to the craft as well.

Always looking to up my crochet game. If you are looking for many ways to progress in your stitching then this book is for you.

A great resource for experienced crocheters to keep on hand. Instructions are easily laid out, and images are very helpful. Recommended for libraries that have a regular sewing circle or where yarn crafting is very popular.

I received this book with great anticipation and was not disappointed. Well described guide to an advanced level of the crochet art including edgings and different textures, all explained in detail. A great addition to any crafter's library.

Anything with Melissa Leapman's name on it is worth reading and this book is no exception. The diagrams and instructions are clear and helpful plus there were several stitches I'd never seen before--and that's saying something since I have more crochet books than most libraries.

This is the next book in Melissa Leapmann’s collection of crochet stitches. The essential book took us from the every basic stitches which I found absolutely perfect for my beginners group at college. This one I am going to use to challenge the progression group to develop some of their techniques.
The book in itself I found well laid out with good clear explanations. My only annoyance was that being from the UK that conversion tables were at the back and not the front of the book. It does mean that there has to be a large sticker on the front cover to warn the students that this is in US terms so they have to convert every pattern before use.

This is an excellent book. The text and diagrams are clear, even when viewing though the NetGalley app. There are plenty of stitch patterns to keep the reader busy. I would definitely recommend this book to my fellow crocheters.

This book includes stitches for harder stitches in crochet. If you are ready to go to the next level, try this book. I learned a lot from it.
