I honestly went into this book being a first time reader of this author and I loved it! Lexi’s pain and overall truth about her life was so well written! I love that the story line was so unexpected but still had a happy ending. Definitely going to check out more of her books.

3.5 ⭐️ i was given the opportunity to read the ARC and it was a sweet little slow burner romance. It also had a lesson of forgiveness and importance of family. You can't let the past cloud your vision from seeing those who truly love you.

As a huge Jill Shalvis fan, I found this book to be an emotional journey centered on two sisters navigating life a year after their mother’s death. Following their mother’s wishes, they embark on a mission to deliver letters, all while working to repair their own strained relationship. While it was a good read, it felt darker than Shalvis’s previous works. Both the hero and heroine grapple with lingering trauma from past abuse, which has led them to build emotional walls to avoid potential pain. The readers do get some laughs from the bonus character, Heath’s grandfather. Thank you for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

No one writes characters as well as Ms Shavis and all of the characters in this book are no different. Lexi has never had anyone watching her back so she finds it hard to believe in family or friends (not that she has many of either). Heath has always been the one that tries to fix everyone else’s problems. So, when Lexi has to come back after her mother passes away, she’s less than thrilled. But, in her time back home, she finds that she’s not the only one who has had to deal with a lot of parental disappointments. Will Daisy’s (her mother) request of her and her stepsister be the solution to look for happiness in both her love life and finding her place with her sister.

The author's skill at crafting lovable characters and touching moments keeps the story interesting even though the plot is predictable at times. The examination of friendship, love, and family is both touching and thought-provoking. I really enjoyed this one!

Lexi returns to Sunrise Cove after her mother passes away and her half sister, Ashley, asks her to come. Lexi's mom, Daisy, wasn't there for her growing up so Lexi cut her out of her adult life completely but Daisy was a good mom and tried her best with Ashley and even Heath (the boy Lexi grew up with) and that was a very hard pill for Lexi to swallow. She felt abandoned. Together Lexi and Ashley have to hand deliver letters their mother wrote to people to try and make amends for her past mistakes. It sheds light on so many different and difficult situations. This story takes you on a trip of mending broken roads and hearts.
I love that Ashley never gave up on having a relationship with Lexi and Heath's dog...absolute perfection..icing on the cake for this story.

I LOVE all of Jill Shavis' books and highly recommend clearing your schedule for release day!

I so appreciate NetGalley for providing me an ARC of this book. I am always ready to read a new Jill Shalvis book and this one was no exception. If I'm being honest, I think I enjoyed seeing the relationship grow between Lexi and Ashley more than the romance aspect of this book. I would love to see Ashley's story in the next installment.

I loved everything about this book except for one thing......I wanted more! I did not want this book to end.

Lexi's life is falling apart around her. She is finally going to take her stepsister up on her request to come for a visit. Now that she is home she is forced to face some realities regarding her mother with the help of her nemesis Heath Bowman. This story takes you through so many emotions. Lexi learns some hard truths and starts to see things more clearly regarding her mother, sister, and childhood nemesis.

I loved the growth that you see in not only Lexi, but Heath and her sister Ashley as well. Jill Shalvis did an amazing job writing about a negligent mother and giving everyone closure. There were some very emotional moments. I also loved the realization that both Heath and Lexi came to in time. To know that when they were children, they were both struggling with issues that were not out in the open and helping them understand why they did the things they did.

I cannot say enough good things about this book. I loved the banter between the main characters. I also loved Heaths grandpa! He was hilarious and could not get enough of his comments.

The Love Fix. Jill Shalvis has written a perceptive story about overcoming trauma, abandonment, finding redemption and accepting love. A last request brings stepsisters Lexi and Ashley together in Sunrise Cove where Lexi finds she also must deal with her childhood crush, Heath, the executor of the will. There’s much for these three to learn about each other they fulfill the will’s tasks. Ms. Shalvis’ signature humor is very much present in the story as the characters must confront and hopefully overcome the challenges of their childhood. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.

I live for any Jill Shalvis books, but I especially salvage over the Sunrise Cove series/family. While this book felt a bit different from the others, in a more slow burn and intense family dynamic way, it was still such a great addition to this series. The relationships that were broken and repaired were not only from a romantic standpoint but a familial one as well. There is so much depth to these characters and I felt the range of emotions from sadness to laughter. Great job on this one!

I found myself grinning in places with Lexi, Ashley and Heath's banter.
I loved Lexi. Lexi was NOT happy with her lot in life and most especially NOT her mother or Heath!
I appreciated what Daisy did for Lexi even though she hasn't realized it yet.
It's a journey of self discovery and who your friends and family are. More importantly finding yourself.
It's about learning how to live again.
I love this quote from the story;
“Sometimes being blood related is overrated. Sometimes being the family you make is where it’s at.”
This so far is my favorite book by Shalvis so far. I love how she adds humor and fun to her stories.
My favorite thing about her stories is the 2nd chances of her characters. This is what kept me turning the pages. I didn't want this lovely story to end. I can't wait for her next story!

The Love Fix by Jill Shalvis is a no brainer to add to your to be read list if you're looking for a romance with likeable characters and the biggest issue being the character(s) getting in the way of their own happiness.

Lexi finally relents to return to her hometown at the request of her step-sister, Ashley, more because she lost her job, her boyfriend, and her home, than out of a sense of love and duty to Ashley or her dead mother., Daisy.

Once there she finds her mom left her and Ashley in charge of delivering bequests to people and if they do it, they get the remains of her lottery winnings.

This is to be overseen by executor, Heath, a burnt out lawyer turned everything to their hometown who takes care of his grandpa and everyone else. Oh, he is also the boy who caused big feelings for Lexi before she moved away with her dad.

We watch as Lexi and Ashkey reconcile their different versions of Daisy and make peace with each other and grow close as the weeks pass and the letters are delivered. Heath and Lexi also rekindle those feelings and we watch them deal with their careers, each other, and familial responsibilities.

Ms. Shalvis has a way of making us root for the grumpy characters (Lexi) and create easy romances after they get over the initial hump.

I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read her next book.

Lexi comes back to help her sister take care of their mother's last wishes. Meeting up with her old crush makes it more complex, plus her and her sister have different memories of their mother. A lot of angst to go through, and while I did enjoy this one, especially the sisters getting closer and the romance, I found the self issues tiresome after awhile. Might be my age of over 60, but sometimes things have to be let go to avoid the negatives. Might just be me. Otherwise, would highly recommend this one.

Sunrise Cove seems to have grabbed me by the heartstrings – and it doesn’t look like it’s going to loosen up anytime soon!

In Jill Shalvis’s newest Sunrise Cove story, THE LOVE FIX, two troubled and tortured souls reunite, neither looking for love, and neither wanting to commit to anything.
There are some very heavy backstory themes in this book – themes you don’t usually find in a romcom/women’s fiction book of Shalvis’. Parental alcohol abuse and physical abuse; gambling addictions; child abandonment. Heavy stuff indeed, but handled with grace and care by a master storyteller.

The usual Shalvis wit and sexy banter is front and center between our hero and heroine, Heath and Lexi, and the sexy times are kept to a minimum of telling – which is also something new for the fabulous writer.

The storyline concerns redemption – of our major characters and the woman whose life affected theirs; spiritual and personal growth, and, of course, an HEA.

Keeping it honest here. After a phenomenon read by this author in ‘Better Than Friends’ , I was really looking forward to this one. It’s more family and former crush kinda vibe.

Felt badfor the FMC and couldn’t reconcile her version of mom , Daisy, with that same f her stepsister’s , love interest and strangers. Enjoy a redemption read but just couldn’t get past that.

A heart-warming book that has a good storyline, great characters, and an interesting premise. I enjoyed the banter and interaction between the step-sisters and how they chose to honor what was asked of them. It’s not my favorite in this series but it did pull at the heartstrings in all the right places. I appreciate receiving an ARC from the Author, publisher, and Netgalley in exchange for my review.

This is proof that life is messy. Nothing is perfect, no one is perfect, and sometimes the person who let you down is the rock and saving grace for someone else. It doesn’t make you less lovable. It doesn’t make those who did see another side of the person more worthy. It just…is. And honestly, this story is FULL of “is” and learning by seeing things from another perspective.

Lexi is going through a lot. She’s been used, discarded, dismissed, and dropped by the wayside too many times to count. And now she has to fulfill the last wishes of someone who was never there for her. All to keep a promise to her sister, Ashley. By going through this, Lexi knows she’s putting her heart at risk. She knows she’s going to get hurt. And she does. But she’s not the only one.

Heath is sort of in the same boat. But he’s always wanted Lexi, whether or not he chose to admit it before now. If Ashley and a final wish from someone important to so many mean that he’s got that chance, he’s going to take it now. Of course, communication is key and secrets do hurt when they come out, but love can sometimes overcome all, as we see here.

I loved my time with Lexi, Ashley, and Heath. I’m actually a little sad to hit “the end” but the growing that takes place for all of them makes this a story you won’t want to miss!

The Love Fix is a heartwarming story of love and forgiveness but a lot of anger and letting go of the past has to happen first. Lexi returned home to Sunrise Cove a year after her mother passed away in order to fulfill her last wishes. There is a lot of bitterness in Lexi after her mother seemingly deserted her as a child. She and her step-sister, Ashley, have six letters to deliver to friends and acquaintances of their mom. Along the way, Lexi slowly begins to tear down the wall built around her heart, realizing that she has people who love her and will never leave her. Although this is book 8 in Jill Shalvis’ Sunrise Cove series, it can be read as a standalone book. I recommend this book along with all of the author’s books as they are feel-good stories with some silly shenanigans along the way.
