Hmmmmm let me see. This book? I didn't know how it would be. I didn't really connect with seat 2a but I wanted to give this one a chance. Am I glad I did? Absolutely! There is deceit, lies, twists turns. Really how would u act if your husband was seeing a different woman thinking you knew nothing yet you was watching.? Maybe read it to find out. 😏

The premise for this book was really good - Izzy sits at a cafe every day, watching a house across the street. Most days, a man will ride up on a bike, and go inside with the woman and her toddler. Nothing odd about that, except for one thing: the man is her husband, Jed.
Izzy is a quiet person because of her upbringing. Her father was a priest who was abusive to her and her mother, and didn’t let them speak. For years, she was only allowed to write notes to her parents, and now she has trouble talking to people. Jed understands though, and has always been good to her. Now though, she’s out for revenge. Her husband is a liar, and she wants to know why.
As I mentioned, the premise for this book was good, but the execution was lacking. The writing was slightly immature, as were the characters, who felt very one-dimensional. The story lacked flavor and color; the shocks weren’t that shocking and the ending wasn’t that exciting. The read was easy and quick, but I don’t know…something was missing, This is my first book by the author, so I’m not sure if this is their normal writing style, but it wasn’t quite up to what I would consider a four-star book. I’m going with 3.5 for this one.
(Thank you to Boldwood Books, Diana Wilkinson and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my review. This book is slated to be released on December 13, 2024.)

This is my first book by this author WOW!!
I have absolutely no idea how to review The Girl in the Window without spoiling it... all I can say is.... cancel all your appointments!! I read this book in one sitting it's fun, it's fact-paced, a total page turner!!

My first book by this author and it is a thrilling psychological read. Every day Izzy sits in her favourite cafe, people watching through the window, when she spots her husband knocking on the door across the street and is greeted by a woman kissing him. When Izzy questions him, she is given nothing but lies. Izzy is determined to uncover the truth and this book will keep you guessing until the end when nothing is what is seems.

I found this book an easy read but quite slow and it did drag on but I did persevere and the last few chapters were at a better pace and a conclusion reached. I did not feel there was much depth to the story but I did finish it.

Incredible. Put my life on hold to finish this book. Would even go as far to suggest I preferred it over The Girl in Seat 2A. I cannot wait to recommend this to every mystery thriller lover I know. Excited to see what Diana Wilkinson follows this with.

What a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive - and this web is a thick one! Everyone has secrets and lies are everywhere - a fast moving and engaging mystery.

4 stars - loved the setting of her sitting in a coffee shop watching everything that happens across the street. Great twists and some wacky decisions made this one different from other similar books.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!

When I read the first page I knew this would be the kind of books I love. This book felt like a roller coaster. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. For any one that likes thrillers and mysteries then you need to pick up a copy. I highly recommend thiis book.

Every day I sit at my favorite cafe and watch them! The woman has no idea I’m watching, day after day, unravelling the secrets of her life. I see the way she smiles when he arrives, how she glances over her shoulder… like someone who is hiding something. She thinks she’s in control, but has no idea I’m on to them…I know a lot more about the man. For a start, he’s not who he pretends to be his lies are as plain as the nose on your face. There’s more to this story than meets the eye, a lot more than I’ll ever let on. I already know a lot about the man, but have learnt so much more from watching. Why do I think the man should tell me what’s going on? Because he’s my husband. That’s why! Great read! Lots of double crossing and gaslighting in this book! The story was very interesting! I highly recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood books for sharing this book with me!

This is a brilliant and gripping thriller that keeps you guessing all the way through. With plenty of shocking twists and turns, it's a great read. Loved it!

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the eARC.
Izzy sits in the window of a cafe and watches a woman across the street interacting with her husband. This woman also has a small son. Is her husband having an affair and is the little boy his son?
The story ratchets up more and more tensely and I thought I could figure out what was going on, but no, I was wrong.
It's a good book with a surprising ending that was both tense and enjoyable.

The intriguing premise of this book sucked me in. A woman sits in a coffee shop every morning and watches as her husband visits who she believes to be his mistress. And her young son. Is the boy his? The drama and suspense that ensues throughout the entire book kept me engaged as I tried to uncover the mystery to find out the truth behind everything that happened. The pace of this book was a bit slow for me, especially in the middle but overall an enjoyable reading experience.

Izzy spends her mornings in a cafe drinking coffee and staring out the windows watching her husband lead a different life than what he tells her he is doing. She sees him get hit on his bike, visit another woman and her son etc. This book is fast paced, hard to put down and interesting as the suspense builds and Izzy tries to decide if she should confront her husband about his lies or just ignore it and go on with life.

This is a nice book. Once i started couldn't put it down. Hiding, cheating everything is there in the plot. A story which started by mere watching the people across the road from the window of a cafe ends up revealing a lot of things
Overall this is a very good book. I rate it 5/5.

Oh my dear gosh!!!!!!! What a fantastic read.. this was surprising in so many ways..Great ways, I loved everything about this book it just reeled me in and wouldn't let me go until the last page. Perfectly planned, perfect characters. Loved!!
Thanks to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for an early release of this book.

Every morning, Izzy, drinks coffee and watches her husband and his mistress across the street. She decides she is sick of being lying to and sets out to find the full truth and expose them. Along the way, Adam comes into play, as well as issues with Jed's mother. Why are all these people suddenly always at Blanche's mom's house? Are they all in some scheme to make Blanche sell her house to get the money? Izzy uses her column to dig out information, which leads to her getting threats. This book had some suspense. yet I felt quite a bit was either lacking or predictable. It was not near as good as The Woman in Seat 2A. But it was ok.

Another fabulous read from this talented author.
A real psychological thriller/who done it.
Well written characters and a great storyline which kept me guessing until the very end.
I sat up very late last night to finish!
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.

Thank you to Netgallery and the publisher for this ARC. The publication date is 13th Dec. This book had it all from lies, deceit and control to everything else between!
I was gripped to my kindle as the twists and turns kept coming along I really thought I worked it out but the clues kept me glued to the story I was so wrong!
I’d highly recommend this book! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟stars
