Great follow up to "The Perfect Marriage".

Ten years after the previous book we see Sarah again this time getting divorced from Bob. But of course things are not as they seem, and past sins catch up to Sarah and Bob.

I liked the first book and I knew I was going to like the follow up. Of course the writing still flows and the characters are also still very thought out. As the previous the plot unfolds in a very convoluted way that still allows our infamous heroine to stay on top of the planning. Or at least that is what she thinks.

Great follow up to Jeneva's book

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review

This is a psychological thriller with a sharp, suspenseful edge, unreliable narrators and shocking revelations! I loved it!

The story revolves around high-powered divorce attorney, Sarah Morgan and many others. I feel several things from the first book get summed up a little better in this one.

I gave the first book 3.5 stars but this one was so much better . Dark and twisty and full of surprises! The Perfect Divorce delivers a binge-worthy read.

Like most fans of The Perfect Marriage, I could not wait for the sequel. Based on that, I was quite pleased to receive the advanced readers copy prior to publication. If you enjoyed the first one, you should enjoy this one as well, although I must admit I think I would have enjoyed it even more if I had done a refresher read on the first one prior to starting. Somehow, I just feel like I missed some nuances from the time in between.

This book brings back some of the characters from the first book as well as introducing some very interesting new options. The timeline is more than a decade from the original so Sarah has married again and had a child in that time. Unfortunately, her marriage to Bob has met a similar fate as Adam, in the fact that Bob has also cheated on her. So of course, she has filed for divorce.

As always, Jeneva has lots of twists in this one so you may constantly think you have figured out who is doing what. Some things I did figure out, but I admit I falsely accused one person in my mind for a bit. :) If you follow Jeneva on Social Media, you will find one characters name quite amusing. Overall, its an amusing take in the next installment of Sarah's attempts at a happily ever after. Good enough that you can finish it in a day or two if you choose.

*I did receive an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

A wonderful psychological thriller that I could not put down. The "perfect" follow up to The Perfect Marriage, with an even more twisted web. Great characterization that will have you hating so many people and unsure who is to blame right up to the very end.

I was so excited to get an ARC copy of The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose. I was not disappointed! This kept me on the edge of my seat. The plot twists were a bit predictable, but the author was still able to keep you guessing. I enjoyed the complex characters, and unique story-line. I sure hope there will be more to come in Sarah Morgans story.

*The Perfect Divorce* by Jeneva Rose is the anticipated sequel to the thriller, "The Perfect Marriage". This book explores the dark side of a seemingly perfect marriage. "The Perfect Divorce" follows Lily and Jake, a couple who, on the surface, appear to have it all—success, wealth, and a picture-perfect life. However, as their divorce proceedings unfold, secrets, lies, and manipulations begin to surface, revealing a much more twisted and sinister reality beneath their facade.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I was surprised by some of the twists and turns, and recommend it for all fans of domestic thrillers.

Ok, so I will eat up Jeneva Rose's books without question. But I have been especially looking forward to the sequel to The Perfect Marriage. That book was such a fun rollercoaster ride. This sequel was just as captivating!

Eleven years has passed since Sarah Morgan defended her husband, Adam in the murder trial of his mistress. Sarah is now married to Bob Miller - but things aren't going well. Bob engaged in a one-night stand, and they are divorcing. Due to new evidence, Adam's case has been reopened. Sarah's life is starting to fall apart - and she needs to get it back on track. We know that Sarah can fight dirty, but Bob is fighting back. Who will come out on top? Who will live through it?

What I liked: I loved the constant state of the unknown, and the rollercoaster that the author takes you on. I actually really enjoy the use of unreliable narrators - I think it adds to the mystery. I wasn't sure where this story was going to go, considering how the first book ended, but the author had plenty of plot lines and loose ends to work with!

What I didn't like: Nothing. No notes!

If you are a fan of Jeneva Rose, you won't want to miss this one. It was definitely a page turner that kept me guessing!

Well this was a twisted and dark fun time! I really enjoyed this one and honestly think the sequel was even better than the first one - which I loved years ago when I read it when Jeneva was still an indie author. Huge thank you to Blackstone for my early readers copy! I think lovers of the first installment in this series will find themselves loving this one even more.

…...also is it just me or was that my name in this book?

Not a big fan of either. It was predictable and felt lacking. I wanted to be kept on the edge of my seat and for it to be an automatic page turner.

Even though a bit of this book may be a little bit out there, I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the first one as well. This picks up years after the first. A good bit of characters show up in this book that were in the last one. I won't tell you which ones, but you will definitely recognize quite a few.
This story is twisty and fun. It's easy to get into and hard to put down. You just want to know how it's all going to end considering, if you read the first one, you know how twisted things could turn out.
Just a fun story with great characters you love to hate.

✨Book Review✨

The Perfect Divorce

If you haven’t read The Perfect Marriage - GO READ IT. Then come back. Spoilers ahead. (BUT, this is a 5 star read, so really, go read it.)

📖 It’s been 11 years since Sarah defended Adam against the charge of murdering his mistress. Adam was executed at the end of the last book, though we all *know he was innocent. After discovering that Bob had a one-night stand, Sarah wastes no time filing for divorce. During their ugly separation, new DNA evidence is uncovered in the case against Adam, forcing the police to reopen the investigation and putting Sarah right back into the spotlight. Then the woman Bob slept with goes missing, he and Sarah start to fight dirty, and new Sheriff Marcus Hudson is hell-bent on finding the truth.

📚 This might have been better than the first book! I could not stop turning the pages on this story, staying up way too late and squeezing in reading time whenever I could. Jeneva Rose has expertly crafted a bit of suspense with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. I continued to wonder if Bob and Sarah would achieve the perfect divorce, or if it would be “til death do us part.”

🌟 5 stars, no notes. If you like mystery with a bit of drama, secrets, and murder mixed in then you’re going to want to pick this one up.

Special shoutout and thanks to @NetGalley @JenevaRoseAuthor @BlackstonePublishing for the advanced reader copy!

First, thank you for granting me access to an e-arc of The Perfect Divorce for an honest review. Second, I think I had a good time with this. I am happy it ended the way it did versus the way the story wants you to think it will. One thing i didn’t like is all the different POVs, that was just too many for me. However, I did like that you do get to experience the police department considering Sarah for Kelly’s murder.

Thank you NetGalley and arc for my digital copy of the Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this book as much as The Perfect Marriage. I felt that the plot was lacking and the ending was predictable.
