You absolutely must read the first book in this series to get maximum enjoyment! I did a re-read before reading this one and it was absolutely worth it! I loved this book so much and the twists and turns were so good! It was a one sitting read for me!

This sequel is better than the original! I'm not sure I've ever said that before.
It is hard to provide background on a sequel and not give too much away and accidentally spoil the first book for someone, in the Perfect Marriage, we watched Sarah Morgan defend her husband Adam in the murder trial of his mistress in the first book, and now we watch as she divorces her second husband and the facts of Adam's case are looked at more closely. it is fun to get a look at the characters understanding who they really are from the Perfect Marriage! Sarah Morgan is back and just as cunning as ever! I flew through this book and stayed up way too late to finish because I had to know what happened and couldn't possibly wait until the next day.
Thanks so much to the publisher and Netgalley for the advance readers copy. All opinions are my own.

I did not see any of that coming in the last couple of chapters! Jeneva Rose delivers another gripping thriller packed with jaw-dropping twists and intense suspense. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the story took a sharp turn that left me reeling.
Sarah Morgan’s past comes crashing back into her present in ways she never expected, and the tangled web of secrets, betrayals, and murder keeps tightening around her. The tension between Sarah and Bob as they navigate their explosive divorce adds another layer of intrigue—who’s really playing who? And just when you think justice might finally be served, one major character is still missing and unaccounted for. Will this lead to a book three? Because Sarah Morgan can’t skate by forever.
A fast-paced, unputdownable read—though I have to admit, I need answers!

The Perfect Divorce
Well, first of all, I absolutely have to thank both NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for allowing me to read The Perfect Divorce. Thank you for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion! (And also, can I just say that getting to read a book ahead of its release date is like, the coolest thing? Teenaged me would be so shocked and amazed!)
Secondly, The Perfect Divorce was a roller coaster of a book. I was entertained, I was startled, I was intrigued. This book ran me through the gamut of emotions. The connections and the details always get me in Jeneva Rose’s books. I try so hard to figure out where her stories are going to go (and yet I never manage to figure it out in advance).
The story of Sarah Morgan, a 33 year old (just like me, coincidentally). She’s an attorney, and a highly successful one at that. We rejoin Sarah approximately eleven years after defending her husband Adam (in book 1). With new details emerging, we see Sarah walk the lines between mother, wife, lawyer, separated wife, and lover. But when Sarah’s past begins to cause problems in her present, what can she do to keep the darkness at bay?
Seeing this story from so many perspectives, enabled Jeneva Rose to weave a tale fraught with suspense, [potentially] unreliable narratives, and characters who will make you like (and hate) them.
I don’t usually review books at length, but finding books I love has become a quest of sorts and if me reviewing a book, enables someone else to find a book they enjoy, well, then it was worth it.
P.S. The way this book ended, makes me think there will be at least a third book (and for a good reason)! Technically all of the ends get tied up, however, if you know where to look, some details stand out.

I have been highly anticipating this long awaited sequel to The Perfect Marriage. The way this author left off the first book was pure genius. I enjoyed getting to continue on with Sarah’s life and seeing the aftermath of everything that happened at the end of the first book.
Sarah was a character I loved to hate and even rooted for. Bob on the other hand frustrated me to no end, which I believe was his purpose. The whole side plot of this one really built the story. I loved the way everything played out.
This author has a real talent for writing psychological thrillers. I really hope she decides to add another book to this series, maybe in the daughter’s point of view, very far into the future.

I didn't know what to expect from the sequel, but it didn't disappoint. The Perfect Divorce was better than I'd imagine, dare to say, better than the first. Sarah Morgan is unhinged, calculated, and fierce, and I am rooting for her. She is definitely one of my favorite FMC.
One of the best things about this book is the multiple points of view. The insight into the multiple characters adds to the mystery. There was a point where I thought the mystery was solved, but the rug was pulled from under me.

This was a great sequel! I love how similar the covers are-- very on theme/brand. This was suspenseful and intense.

The Perfect Marriage was the book that started my 2024 reading craze, so as soon as I saw the sequel I knew I needed to read it! I was lucky to read it early and it did not disappoint! This book exceded my expectations. Jeneva did an amazing job growing the characters from before and including the new ones. It was the perfect amount of mystery to keep my attention throughout the whole book!

The Perfect Divorce was better than I expected. The suspense, the characters, the plot twist was amazing. Can't wait to read the rest of Sarah's story!

First, thank you NetGalley, Blackstone Publishing, and Jeneva Rose for this book. I absolutely love the first one and was so so excited to read this.
Picking up over a decade after the events of The Perfect Marriage, we are reunited with Sarah Morgan. Sarah is such a complex character. I love the way Jeneva writes her. I mean let’s be honest we all love to hate her. But really I just love her character. I love how she is constantly spinning multiple plates and weaving so many different lies and angles. She was always one step ahead of Bob (her previous work nemesis who is now her soon to be ex-husband). She’s just such a fascinating FMC.
The story was well faced and moved well. I appreciate the multiple POV’s. That definitely gave us a look at the story from all sides. Sheriff Hudson was my favorite. He is truly the best person in this book, and I kind of want more of his and Pam’s story.
Overall this was such a treat to read. It kept on my toes which is what I want in a thriller. Thank you again for the opportunity to read it.

The Perfect Divorce was a jump into action right from the start, and an easy read all the way through. I loved reading from old characters again (Sarah could do no wrong) but I will say it had a less shocking ending than the original, or Jeneva Rose's other novels. That is to be expected though when you already know a character so well from the first book.

Jeneva Rose's sequel to A Perfect Marriage is another intense revenge story featuring the main female character, Sarah Morgan. Lots of twists and turns, with Sarah always being one step ahead of everyone else. Looking forward to what Jeneva has in store for Sarah in Book #3.

Jeneva Rose is an automatic choice for me, so I was thrilled to receive the ARC of The Perfect Divorce! From the very first page, The Perfect Divorce captivates you! Somehow, Jeneva has outdone herself; this book surpasses The Perfect Marriage! While I managed to piece together some elements, the writing was so engaging and intriguing that it remained a pleasure to read! I adore the various perspectives! The plot was incredibly entertaining as I tried to discern who was telling the truth and what was truly happening! I simply could not put this book down and sincerely hope she finds a way to create a third installment in the series! 4.5 stars!

A great mix of romance, deceit, suspense and twists! I enjoy the writing style of Jeneva Rose. Love the different points of views! Also, I think it’s the very first time I have enjoyed the sequel more than the first. Very well done!

Jeneva, did it yet again! Her writing style is absolutely amazing, She puts you write into of the characters minds brilliantly, The way she describes every scenario in the book places you right there in your own mind, Keeps you on edge until the very end. The absolute "Perfect" sequel.

As if we don’t already know this MC is diabolical so the twist didn’t really twist for me. This book may not be a literary masterpiece, but she was fun! I do love when they get what’s coming to them! 🤪

I loved the first book and I loved the 2nd book just as much. Were there some things that I thought might have been predictable...maybe a little bit. But I still was surprised by parts which sold me on this book. Sometimes sequels and follow ups can be a let down, but not this one. The key to this book was not who did it. We know who did it. The big questions is how did they do it...which made the book for me. I really enjoy Jeneva's Rose writing and can't wait to read more of her books.

The Perfect Divorce picks up eleven years after the shocking events of The Perfect Marriage. A former high-powered attorney, Sarah Morgan, is caught in a web of lies, secrets, and betrayal...again. After defending her husband, Adam, against the charges of murdering his mistress, she starts a new life with Bob Miller, another attorney. She believes that she has built a perfect existence. But her ideal world is shattered when Sarah catches Bob in a one-night stand. Sarah files for divorce when new DNA evidence surfaces in Adam's case, forcing the police to reopen the investigation. When the woman Bob slept with goes missing, Sarah is pulled back into a nightmare she thought she had escaped.
Jeneva Rose is a master of twists. When you think you have it figured out, the story pivots unexpectedly. The plot is always propelling you forward, maintaining a relentless pace that makes this book nearly impossible to put down. The high-stakes game between Sarah and Bob is deliciously toxic, and the layers of deception are masterful. Using multiple points of view adds suspense to the story and the emotional unraveling of the characters. The shifts between Sarah, Bob, and former Deputy Hudson's viewpoints are smooth and purposeful. I love Deputy Hudson's character; it brings a gritty detective noir vibe to the plot. Sarah is always two or maybe ten steps ahead of everyone else. With morally gray characters, a plot that never stops twisting, and a satisfyingly shocking ending make this book utterly addictive. Chef Kiss!
Thank you, NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing, for the opportunity to review an ebook and provide my honest feedback

Ahhhhh, this was a good continuation to The Perfect Marriage, and it was a thrilling game of wits between two crazy individuals. I won't spoil anything, but I liked seeing how having a kid and being married changed Sarah, and I liked her character even more in this book. She is seeking a divorce from her current husband, Bob, after what he did, and he doesn't want to give her one, so she still thinks they can be together. There are so many mind games in the relationship as they try to navigate the divorce, the cases they have at work, the re-opening of Adams's case, and so much more. There were a couple of twists, and even though some were predictable, I enjoyed the ride. Thanks to Blackstone Publishing for this arc.
4.25/5

This book was juicyyyyyyy. I couldn’t guess where the story was going and I liked that. I was not able to predict the ending whatsoever. This was a great sequel to The Perfect Marriage and I recommend it.
