I got an advanced cop of this book from NetGalley.

I loved Perfect Marriage. It was one of my fave books of 2024. Before starting Perfect Divorce, I listened to the audio version of Marriage for a refresher, and I’m really glad I did. There are a lot of reference in this new book and you’ll definitely want to be able to place them.

While I liked Divorce, I didn’t love it like I did Marriage. There’s a lot of different story lines going on at the same time and at points it was hard to follow with all the jumping around. Some of Divorce seemed far fetched and unrealistic. There was also a lot of lead up to the unwinding of it all, with some of it being pretty predictable and figure out able. It’s definitely worth reading if you loved Marriage and want to know more of the characters’ story. I just don’t think it’s as good.

Jeneva Rose is fast becoming one of the biggest names in thrillers and suspense and this book, the sequel to maybe her most popular book, The Perfect Marriage, should only add to that. Rose has a very easy to get into writing style and the pages certainly fly by as you are wanting to uncover this new mystery. While it is not required to have read the first book as there are a number of recap moments in this one, it definitely helps in getting into the story as it is visiting characters that have already been established very well. This is definitely a beach read, and while it doesn't break new thriller ground or stray from the well known formulas of the genre, it is fun, it is entertaining and it definitely thrills.

THE PERFECT DIVORCE was a fast-paced follow up to THE PERFECT MARRIAGE, which I highly recommend a re-read of before diving into this one. The story takes multiple twists and turns and while it veered on unbelievable at times, was still super entertaining and easy to read.

Thanks to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the opportunity to read and review THE PERFECT DIVORCE.

WOW...JENEVA ROSE DID IT AGAIN! I'm sad it took me so long to read, 'The Perfect Marriage', but was ECSTATIC to be given the opportunity by NetGalley to review, 'The Perfect Divorce' shortly after reading book one. I was a little leary at first, because sequels can sometimes miss for me, but this one may have actually outdone the first one. I don't know, though I loved them both! Side note: when you read this one, be sure to read the acknowledgments at the end *so excited!*

Jeneva Rose's sequel to "The Perfect Marriage" masterfully escalates the tension as Sarah Morgan's seemingly perfect life crumbles upon discovering her husband's infidelity. As old wounds resurface with the reopening of her first husband's murder case and new DNA evidence, the narrative spins into a riveting game of deception and desperation. Rose's signature twists keep readers on the edge of their seats, propelling Sarah into a battle not just for her marriage but for her life. This thriller, laden with suspense, invites readers to ponder the lengths people go to in pursuit of a 'perfect' resolution, making it a captivating addition to the original story.

Rated: 2/5

I had a really tough time getting into this book. I really enjoyed The Perfect Marriage, but The Perfect Divorce did not live up to my expectations. The plot did not get interesting for me until about 70% in, and the twists were too predictable. There was not enough focus on the darker elements of the book and little suspense for this to read as a thriller for me.

Sarah Morgan is back at it again and not going to lie, I'm here for it! While I'm still not over how she was allowed to represent her husband in the first book, this book was just as good if I kept the same mindset of looking for a good time, not a "everything has to make sense" time. Bonus points for having this book get me out of a reading slump too!

FIRST THING FIRST - The acknowledgments?!? I am sat.

I was unsure about a sequel to the perfect marriage but I was definitely intrigued. It was executed so much better than I had imagined. Sarah is such a disturbingly captivating character, you truly don’t ever know what she has up her sleeve. I need to get a lot more answers from the Scott summers situation but once I read the note, I let that slide. These stories are so twisted and engaging from start to finish. Although the we’ve of deceit is twisted and convoluted, Rose has a way of writing them that is extremely easy to follow. Yes, they’re over the top and unrealistic but they’re GOOD. Everyone needs popcorn thriller in their life and this hits the spot perfectly.

4.5 stars but I'll round it up to 5.

Thank you netgalley for the advance ebook copy of The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose.

What can I say? Mind blown. Somehow The Perfect Divorce is even better than the first book (The Perfect Marriage). How is that possible?!?

Prepare to have you're mind blown by the twists.

First of all, that tagline is so good and it immediately caught my attention, I just love it. This is the second in a series and I do think it’s important to read the first book before starting this one. I didn’t remember the details so I found some spoiler reviews lol as a refresher and that worked well for me. The pacing here was fantastic, things moved rapidly right from the start and there was SO much going on here it left my head spinning at times. Not in a bad way, I just really had to focus and stay on my toes because there were so many different plot threads. There were twists galore as well, I lost count of how many and they were all really fun and mostly surprising. Overall a really strong follow up to a book I know so many of you loved, and don’t miss the acknowledgments at the end!

It's often said a sequel to a book is not as good as the original, but Holy Heaven!!! The Perfect Divorce in my opinion is better than The Perfect Marriage! Jeneva Rose did not disappoint with this absolutely diabolical part two to Sarah Morgan's story.

Fast forward and Sarah Morgan is at it again...or should we say still. The twists keep coming, each one more shocking than the last. You think you know where this is headed but then BAM!! It takes a totally different direction. As soon as I could catch my breath I was gasping again. This was one fun, twisty ride I never wanted to end. As with the first, the writing is captivating and draws you right in. Short chapters and a smooth flow of writing make this binge worthy. I highly recommend this but suggest reading the Perfect Marriage first to get the full effect of Sarah Morgan's scheming persona.

Thanks to Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for the advanced copy

The perfect follow up to the perfect marriage. Deliciously messy, murder, in a small town, crime cover ups and the messy divorce of two lawyers who are at the center of town scrutiny. I devoured this book. The multiple povs made it such a fast read.

If I had a penny for every time Sarah Morgan’s husband was accused of murdering and/or kidnapping a woman, I would have 3 pennies. One for her first husband Adam in TPM and two more for her current husband, Bob, in TPD. I loved TPM and consider it Jeneva Rose’s best book and TPD is a pretty damn good sequel. It was just as twisty and turny but I know Sarah well enough as a character that I was able to piece together *some* of the clues. Jeneva, if you’re reading this, I want more Sarah please!

Overall I really liked this one. I’m a big fan of Jeneva Rose and The Perfect Marriage was my favorite book by her. I was excited to get my hands on this one early. It sucked me in right from the beginning and even though the story was told from multiple POV, it flowed seamlessly. The ending was a little bit wild, and reminded me a bit of Freida McFadden’s writing. Moral of the story… Don’t f*ck with Sarah Morgan. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sarah and Bob are unhappily married and headed for divorce. Both are attorneys and work hard to stay one step ahead of the other one. The secrets they harbor are life altering for both of them, but in light of Bob's affair Sarah decides she can no longer be with him. Sarah's first husband, Adam, was executed after being convicted of murdering his mistress. Sarah has all she needs in life; her daughter and her foundation. However, she must stay in tune to what Bob has planned for her to survive.

I really wish I had reread The Perfect Marriage before reading this. There was so much I had forgotten. The twists and turns were absolutely wild in that book and the same was true in this one. Once Rose spelled out the ending, it all made sense and now I feel like I need to reread this one just to catch up on all the things she wove throughout the book. I enjoyed it very much and will recommend for sure!

I had NO idea a follow up to "The Perfect Marriage" was in the works, so you can imagine my surprise when I found this one on Netgalley! Sarah is back to her antics after a decade, but this one felt even darker and more sinister than the first.

Yet again, Rose hit a home run with pacing, alternating POVs, and plenty of twisty surprises - I think I actually enjoyed this one better than the original as her writing felt more developed and suspenseful than its predecessor. While enjoyable, the last one was a little predictable which was the complete opposite of "The Perfect Divorce". With this ending, I reeeeeally hope we'll get another...I have so many questions!

Thanks so much for the ARC!

This was the perfect follow up to The Perfect Marriage! I initially wasn't super into the many POVs but the further it went, the more I got in to it. It flowed well enough that I could keep up and was fun to experience each issue first hand from each character.

Jeneva had me hooked and constantly guessing what was going to come. I had a couple of guesses that were partially correct but overall I STILL didn't see the full picture until the end. Sarah Morgan is still just as sneaky as she was in the first book and I loved it! I loved getting more back story to what happened in the first book and tying things together. I hope from the ending of this that means we will be getting more from this series!

Another great page turner from Jeneva Rose that had me guessing until the last sentence! With characters you are constantly trying to figure out and plot lines that keep twisting, The Perfect Divorce will not disappoint.
