I went to start writing my review of this book and had to pull up the Goodreads page to even remember what exactly it was about. There were so many characters, so many points of view and so many unnecessary twists and turns. I didn't LOVE the Perfect Marriage but I really didn't even like this one that much. It had short chapters which I love and definitely kept me guessing, but not always in the best way. The end also tied itself up pretty quickly without a lot of answers.

I'm assuming it will be the second in a trilogy, but I may skip that one if I can help myself.

Thanks to NetGalley for the digital ARC in exchange for my honest opinions.

If you're craving a fast-paced, twist-laden thriller with a morally murky heroine and messy relationships, The Perfect Divorce delivers. Just don’t expect it to upend the genre—it’s more refinement than revolution. Perfect for fans wanting more juicy drama from the Morgan saga.

An expertly woven thriller that grabs you early and never loosens its grip. The suspense is perfectly paced, with twists that feel both shocking and earned. A brilliant, breathless read that delivers on every level.

I loved the perfect divorce. It was a flawless transition from The first book to the second. I still can’t believe it was Sarah all along. Poor Adam.

So I didn’t read the other books in this series, but now I want to. One is able to understand everything without reading the others and not reading them in any order, but the characters are so real and yet so demented and unexpected at the same time it makes one think that maybe they have a neighbor or the receptionist at their veterinarian’s office that can be like these characters too. The suspense is great, and the story will keep you guessing. I just love Jeneva Rose, her books are always page turners. I’ll definitely be reading all of them now!

Wow where do I begin this book picks up where the perfect marriage left off. Suspenseful book leaving you on your toes and wanting more. I couldn’t put the book down.

One of the most anticipated releases of the year!! This book had everything that I wanted and more! Jeneve brought in key characters from the first installment to help in this story. The characters are well written and help to tell the story so well. I loved it so much!!

A special thank you to NetGalley, Jeneva Rose, and Blackstone Publishing for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

As always Jeneva Rose exceeded my expectations brining back key characters from The Perfect Marriage for an exceptional story line! Sarah Morgan is the character that keeps on giving.

I wish I had read The Perfect Marriage more recently so I could remember more of Sarah and Adam's story, but I remember enough (& a few little reminders are peppered throughout this book) to know this is a great follow up!

Jeneva's characters are always well-written, and I love the witty, snarky dialogue to go along with the twists of an intriguing plot. When Sarah is wronged, she is not to be messed with - yet Bob feels he is her perfect match in the methodical, calculated, and smart way Sarah operates...really, buddy? The back and forth and twists in the book will keep you up until you get to the very last page.

I've heard their might be a 3rd book...what will Sarah get into next?!

Jeneva Rose, absolute QUEEN of the twisty thrillers, continues her reign! Loved The Perfect Marriage and enjoyed The Perfect Divorce, as well!

The perfect follow up book in the Perfect series. This did not disappoint. The story continues the family saga that plagues Sarah.

The writing style is engaging, keeping readers hooked with unexpected twists and turns. The complex characters and intricate plotlines add depth to the narrative, making it a compelling read for fans of psychological thrillers.

While some readers have expressed mixed feelings about the book's conclusion, I appreciate the suspenseful journey and character development throughout the story.

Overall, The Perfect Divorce is a must-read for fans of domestic suspense and psychological thrillers, offering a tantalizing blend of mystery and drama that will keep readers on the edge of their seats.

3.5 - Rounded to 4:

A Perfect Divorce brings us back into the whirlwind life of Sarah Morgan, now remarried and once again caught in a web of betrayal, scandal, and secrets. When her current husband cheats and his mistress mysteriously vanishes, Sarah finds herself at the center of another media storm—just as fresh DNA evidence reopens the case against her ex. It's messy, dramatic, and definitely entertaining.

There were things I genuinely enjoyed: the short chapters, some witty dialogue, and the tighter police procedural this time around. The pacing really picks up in the second half, and the multiple mysteries (including one juicy cliffhanger) kept me turning the pages. That said, the story leans into a lot of big, bold twists—some hit, some didn’t—and I personally could’ve done without quite so many POVs.

While not a total knockout, this is still a quick, bingeable thriller perfect for a lazy weekend. If you enjoy your suspense with a bit of drama and a dash of popcorn-worthy chaos, this one's worth checking out. Thanks to Blackstone Publishing for the ARC!

I just want to like someone in these novels and there's never anyone around...thanks for making me hate people more Jeneva Rose.

This is a rare case where the sequel was better than the original! I enjoyed The Perfect Marriage but fell victim to the overhype curse, so I went into TPD with low expectations and this truly exceeded my hopes. Twisty as ever, this follow up kept me on my toes and wowed me until the very end.

The Perfect Divorce was a phenomenal book with twists and a dramatic story line. Sarah Morgan is back again as the main character. The murder case of Kelly Summers is reopened and there is the death of a cop, in fact the former sheriff, Ryan Stevens. Bob, Sarah’s husband cheats on her with a woman by the name of Stacy Howard who ends up missing. I don’t want to give too much away. If you didn’t like The Perfect Marriage, I’ve read mixed reviews, I highly recommend giving the Perfect Divorce a try. This storyline is well thought out and tighter than her first book.

I loved it‼️Sequels aren't usually as good as the first, but this one didn't disappoint. It goes in deeper and explains more in depth of the backstory. It tied up all loose ends and gave me more of what I needed from this story. Keep them coming Jeneva... p.s. I read the acknowledgements 😉

I found this sequel to be more suspenseful than A Perfect Marriage. Thee were unexpected twists and maybe a few unbelievable events, but I feel like Rose left enough things unresolved that there is potential for a third book. Her writing style seemed simplistic, making for a quick read, but sometimes feeling a little remedial.

THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD. I was lucky to win an ARC of this one.

Mother Goose (iykyk) has once again delivered a heart racing, thriller with a perfect blend of humor. Sarah’s internal monologue had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion and the story line is complete, thorough and really enjoyable. I devoured this book! As sequels go I’m not going to lie I was a little nervous because the Perfect Marriage is one of my all time favorite books. But Jeneva delivered as she always does! Make sure you put this book on your must read list for 2025 you will not be disappointed. But also..read the acknowledgments on this one.

I loved The Perfect Marriage so I was excited for this release. This one just doesn’t hold up to her first. It was predictable and not as well written. I look forward to more from Jeneva Rose. She’s a good author. This one just wasn’t for me.

It’s full of twists, secrets, and just the right amount of courtroom tension. I really enjoyed the back-and-forth timeline and trying to piece things together. The main character was interesting and flawed in a way that made her feel real, though I wish a few of the side characters were a bit more fleshed out.

The ending had a solid payoff (even if it felt a little quick), and overall, this was a super entertaining read. Definitely recommend if you like fast-paced thrillers with a bit of scandal!
