The Perfect Divorce was better than I expected. The suspense, the characters, the plot twist was amazing. Can't wait to read the rest of Sarah's story!

First, thank you NetGalley, Blackstone Publishing, and Jeneva Rose for this book. I absolutely love the first one and was so so excited to read this.

Picking up over a decade after the events of The Perfect Marriage, we are reunited with Sarah Morgan. Sarah is such a complex character. I love the way Jeneva writes her. I mean let’s be honest we all love to hate her. But really I just love her character. I love how she is constantly spinning multiple plates and weaving so many different lies and angles. She was always one step ahead of Bob (her previous work nemesis who is now her soon to be ex-husband). She’s just such a fascinating FMC.

The story was well faced and moved well. I appreciate the multiple POV’s. That definitely gave us a look at the story from all sides. Sheriff Hudson was my favorite. He is truly the best person in this book, and I kind of want more of his and Pam’s story.

Overall this was such a treat to read. It kept on my toes which is what I want in a thriller. Thank you again for the opportunity to read it.

The Perfect Divorce was a jump into action right from the start, and an easy read all the way through. I loved reading from old characters again (Sarah could do no wrong) but I will say it had a less shocking ending than the original, or Jeneva Rose's other novels. That is to be expected though when you already know a character so well from the first book.

Jeneva Rose's sequel to A Perfect Marriage is another intense revenge story featuring the main female character, Sarah Morgan. Lots of twists and turns, with Sarah always being one step ahead of everyone else. Looking forward to what Jeneva has in store for Sarah in Book #3.

Jeneva Rose is an automatic choice for me, so I was thrilled to receive the ARC of The Perfect Divorce! From the very first page, The Perfect Divorce captivates you! Somehow, Jeneva has outdone herself; this book surpasses The Perfect Marriage! While I managed to piece together some elements, the writing was so engaging and intriguing that it remained a pleasure to read! I adore the various perspectives! The plot was incredibly entertaining as I tried to discern who was telling the truth and what was truly happening! I simply could not put this book down and sincerely hope she finds a way to create a third installment in the series! 4.5 stars!

As if we don’t already know this MC is diabolical so the twist didn’t really twist for me. This book may not be a literary masterpiece, but she was fun! I do love when they get what’s coming to them! 🤪

I loved the first book and I loved the 2nd book just as much. Were there some things that I thought might have been predictable...maybe a little bit. But I still was surprised by parts which sold me on this book. Sometimes sequels and follow ups can be a let down, but not this one. The key to this book was not who did it. We know who did it. The big questions is how did they do it...which made the book for me. I really enjoy Jeneva's Rose writing and can't wait to read more of her books.

The Perfect Divorce picks up eleven years after the shocking events of The Perfect Marriage. A former high-powered attorney, Sarah Morgan, is caught in a web of lies, secrets, and betrayal...again. After defending her husband, Adam, against the charges of murdering his mistress, she starts a new life with Bob Miller, another attorney. She believes that she has built a perfect existence. But her ideal world is shattered when Sarah catches Bob in a one-night stand. Sarah files for divorce when new DNA evidence surfaces in Adam's case, forcing the police to reopen the investigation. When the woman Bob slept with goes missing, Sarah is pulled back into a nightmare she thought she had escaped.

Jeneva Rose is a master of twists. When you think you have it figured out, the story pivots unexpectedly. The plot is always propelling you forward, maintaining a relentless pace that makes this book nearly impossible to put down. The high-stakes game between Sarah and Bob is deliciously toxic, and the layers of deception are masterful. Using multiple points of view adds suspense to the story and the emotional unraveling of the characters. The shifts between Sarah, Bob, and former Deputy Hudson's viewpoints are smooth and purposeful. I love Deputy Hudson's character; it brings a gritty detective noir vibe to the plot. Sarah is always two or maybe ten steps ahead of everyone else. With morally gray characters, a plot that never stops twisting, and a satisfyingly shocking ending make this book utterly addictive. Chef Kiss!

Ahhhhh, this was a good continuation to The Perfect Marriage, and it was a thrilling game of wits between two crazy individuals. I won't spoil anything, but I liked seeing how having a kid and being married changed Sarah, and I liked her character even more in this book. She is seeking a divorce from her current husband, Bob, after what he did, and he doesn't want to give her one, so she still thinks they can be together. There are so many mind games in the relationship as they try to navigate the divorce, the cases they have at work, the re-opening of Adams's case, and so much more. There were a couple of twists, and even though some were predictable, I enjoyed the ride. Thanks to Blackstone Publishing for this arc.

4.25/5

This book was juicyyyyyyy. I couldn’t guess where the story was going and I liked that. I was not able to predict the ending whatsoever. This was a great sequel to The Perfect Marriage and I recommend it.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC.

I loved "The Perfect Marriage" and thoroughly enjoyed this as well. I am excited about the audiobook, as Adam Lazarre-White will narrate it. I think he will give the story an added layer of depth.

The writing in The Perfect Divorce is a noticeable improvement over the first book in the series. The prose is sharper, more polished, and the pacing is tighter, keeping the narrative moving at a thrilling clip. The author’s attention to detail in character development and plot structure shines here, making the twists and turns all the more impactful. Sarah’s emotional journey is layered, and as a reader, I found myself both sympathizing with her and questioning her choices. Her complex personality and the morally gray situation she’s in make for compelling reading.

One thing I really loved about this book is how I felt like a detective myself while reading. The clues, the red herrings, and the intricate web of secrets surrounding Sarah, Bob, and Adam all kept me guessing. The tension in the book builds steadily, and I couldn't help but try to piece together what was really happening. It’s one of those books that makes you feel like you’re in on the investigation, following every lead with the characters.

That said, while The Perfect Divorce excels in writing and suspense, the twist in the first book The Perfect Marriage still stands out as the more shocking one. The twist in this sequel was still strong and well executed, but the original left me reeling in a way this one didn’t quite match. Despite that, the high stakes of Sarah and Bob’s ugly separation, the renewed investigation into Adam’s case, and the tension between all the characters kept me hooked.

Everything I hoped for in a sequel to The Perfect Marriage. Jeneva Rose makes the characters so unlikable and so intriguing at the same time. I had my jaw on the floor multiple times. It was a quick read and I enjoyed it all the way through.

The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose is the kind of thriller that keeps you second-guessing everything. Just when I thought I had the ending figured out, another twist would come along and completely upend my theory. The way Rose masterfully weaves past cases into the present-day mysteries and abductions makes the story feel layered and gripping, like every little detail is a clue waiting to be unraveled. It’s the perfect mix of psychological mind games and suspense, keeping me hooked from start to finish.

What really made this book stand out, though, was how Rose crafted her characters. Bob and Sarah are both, at times, completely despicable, yet I couldn’t help but root for them—just not always at the same time. One minute, I was convinced Sarah was in the right, and the next, I was rethinking everything and siding with Bob instead. The shifting perspectives and moral gray areas kept me on my toes, making the reading experience even more immersive. By the time I reached the final pages, I was left in awe at how Rose managed to keep me guessing (and switching allegiances) the whole way through.

Perfect Divorce is a gripping, fast-paced read that keeps you on your toes from start to finish. The story unfolds seamlessly, weaving together tension, drama, and unexpected twists that make it impossible to put down. The characters are well-developed, and the plot keeps you engaged as secrets unravel and relationships are tested.

Sarah, in particular, steals the show as the villain you can’t help but love. She’s cunning, complex, and manipulative in a way that makes her both infuriating and fascinating. Her actions drive the story forward, creating moments of suspense and shock that leave you eager to see what she’ll do next.

If you enjoy domestic thrillers with strong character dynamics and a well-paced plot, Perfect Divorce is definitely worth a read. It’s the kind of book that hooks you early and keeps you invested until the very last page.

I could totally see this being made into a movie, Sarah Morgan was an excellent villain. She’s horrible but her machinations are mesmerizing. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to netgalley for an advance copy of this book. I anxiously started it upon receiving it. I enjoyed the first book and this follow up was just as good if not better. Jeneva did a good job of bringing the story from the first book into the second so you remember how things happened if you are like myself and read the first one awhile ago. The chapters were short enough that once I finished one I was ready to keep reading the next which made the book move very quickly. The story was one of intrigue and suspense and I really enjoyed this book. If you enjoyed the first, you'll definitely like this follow up.

Thank you so much Jeneva Rose, net galley, and publisher. Getting this ARC copy was a dream come true.

Based off The Perfect Marriage I really didn't know where this book could lead. Because of that this whole book was a big surprise. Jeneva has done a great job as keeping us engaged and our attention in this book.

I think I only predicted one part in this and still I was wrong. All the other was twist after twist. One thing I can say is Sarah Morgan is back and still a badass lawyer that is always one step ahead of anyone. She is good at what she does and Jeneva says it isn't over even with this book. YES!! So happy to hear! I really can't say too much about this because it would give it away. You just have to read it if you were a The Perfect Marriage fan..
