🔪The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose🔪

Release Date: April 15, 2025

This is the highly anticipated sequel to The Perfect Marriage, and boy, did it deliver!

I seriously could not put this down. It was fast paced, scandalous, and well crafted- all things that I love in a domestic thriller. It also rotated between multiple POVs, so it kept me guessing until the very end.

I highly recommend TPD, especially if you loved The Perfect Marriage.

Thank you to Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you, @netgalley for the ARC of this book! The way I screamed when my request was approved y’all 😂 I had already preordered this one because I loved The Perfect Marriage, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw that I had the chance to read it early in exchange for my honest review.

🔪 Sarah is back and it’s 10 years after she defended her husband, even though the jury found him guilty. So is Bob, who’s her husband now.

🩸 Sarah and Bob’s marriage isn’t going great- surprise- and the book picks up when we find out why.

🔪 3 POV’s in this book, which made it a faster read. I enjoyed Sarah’s and the unknown’s the most, but do feel Bob’s added insight to the story we otherwise wouldn’t have gotten.

🩸 Spoiler free summary- Sheriff Stevens is arrested for a DUI, which leads to a connection to Kelly Summers murder, and problems for Sarah. Sarah doesn’t have problems though, she fixes them, and this story lets us go along as she does.

🔪 I’m a BIG Jeneva Rose fan. The Perfect Marriage and Home is Where the Bodies Are are some of my favorite thrillers. However, this book had too many similarities to the first one for it to stand out to me. This one wasn’t for me, but I’m looking forward to her next book!

Thank you to Jeneva Rose, NetGalley, and Blackstone publishing for the chance to read an advanced copy of The Perfect Divorce!

I’m not much of a thriller reader, but Jeneva’s writing has me hooked right from the start! I absolutely devoured this book in less than 48 hours because I simply couldn’t put it down. The twists and unexpected turns were everything I expected and more!

If you loved The Perfect Marriage then you are going to LOVE The Perfect Divorce. Jeneva Rose’s sequel is even better than the first. Sarah is always two steps ahead and doing so with confidence and the poise we’ve come to expect of her. With the return of previous characters we get an enjoyable sequel with twists you’ll never see coming. Be sure to also read the acknowledgment at the end. I can’t wait to read more from Jeneva Rose in the future.

If you are a fan of The Perfect Marriage, then you will most likely also enjoy its sequel, The Perfect Divorce. The sequel picks up with Sarah Morgan, remarried with a daughter but going through a divorce. Many characters from the first book make appearances in this follow up. Sarah is still cold & calculating. She may be a mother but one that has not changed, she will not tolerate betrayal.

This book takes you through as many twists & turns as the first. At times it's a little far fetched but it is a fictional story. I thought I had it all figured out towards the end but there was a small twist that I did not see coming.

Spoilers: Update: as I reflected on reading this book there were a few questions running through my head. How did Stacy get the gun in the basement? Sarah and Bob got married a year after Adam’s execution but Summer is 9? There was mention of Sarah and Bob getting married prior to Adam’s execution. Maybe I missed that in tasting this story?

The story was a slow burn until 88% of the way into the book. Towards the end of the book felt rushed and connected all the storylines and characters.

"The Perfect Divorce" by Jeneva Rose is a psychological thriller and the sequel to her bestselling novel, "The Perfect Marriage." The story follows Sarah Morgan, a high-powered attorney, as she navigates a tumultuous divorce from her second husband, Bob Miller. The narrative delves into themes of betrayal, suspense, and the complexities of relationships. Critics have praised the book for its gripping plot and unexpected twists. In The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose, the main characters are:

Sarah Morgan – The protagonist, a high-powered attorney who is navigating the complexities of a divorce from her second husband. She is intelligent, calculating, and determined, but also has flaws that make her vulnerable.

Bob Miller – Sarah’s second husband, whose relationship with her becomes increasingly strained. He is a key figure in the story, and his interactions with Sarah unravel throughout the book.

Jacob – Sarah’s ex-husband, who plays a significant role in the story’s dynamics. He is a pivotal character who adds complexity to Sarah’s life and her journey through her divorce.

Victoria – A secondary character who is an important part of Sarah’s social and professional life.

As the story unfolds, the narrative focuses on the tension and power struggles between Sarah and the people in her life, particularly her ex-husbands, all while secrets and lies come to light.

The book also introduces several other characters that play a role in driving the story forward, adding to the suspense and psychological twists.

There were a lot of characters in "The Perfect Divorce" that left me wondering who could be up to what throughout the story. Sometimes the amount of characters was a lot to keep track of their story lines. I carefully read this book at a slower pace so I could remember the character tree of who everyone was and their role throughout the storyline.

Am I going to say it? Absolutely. The Perfect Divorce was fantastic—dare I say, even better than the first. And that’s no small feat, considering sequels often struggle to live up to expectations. But this one? Flawless.

I fall for Jeneva Rose’s writing and masterful manipulation. The small refresher at the beginning was a nice touch—especially for those of us who devour so many books. Normally, I steer clear of sequels because of the long gaps between releases, which often require a full reread. But The Perfect Marriage? That one burned itself into my memory. It’s a book I always find myself talking about.

Now, onto The Perfect Divorce. We catch up with Sarah, who has moved on, started a family, and built a new life. Everything seems to be going perfectly—until, once again, she finds herself betrayed. Seriously, this woman has the worst luck with men. While we dive into the mess of her new marriage unraveling in an ugly, gasp-worthy separation, fresh evidence surfaces about her previous husband. And let’s just say—things get—messy. There are so many words, but I'm struggling to find a word that doesn't spoil how things get. Lol

Think you know where this is going? You don’t. Think you’ve got it figured out? Still no. The twists keep you turning pages at an alarming rate.

If you loved The Perfect Marriage, you’re going to love The Perfect Divorce. And judging by the way this one ends—not exactly a cliffhanger, but definitely an it-could-go-either-way situation—I strongly feel a third book could be in the mix. Fingers crossed!

Thanks to Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sarah Morgan's husband Adam was accused of murdering his mistress several years back and she defended him in court. He was recently put to death and now she is married to Bob. Bob has been unfaithful and Sarah is divorcing him. When the woman he was sleeping with goes missing, Bob is a main suspect and this time Sarah isn't defending him.

This was a good read. I don't know that I liked it as much as The Perfect Marriage which I recall that I couldn't put down, but overall it was pretty good and I look forward to seeing what happens next.

Sarah Morgan is my absolute favorite villainess in literature in a long time. Why should men get to do all the atrocities? The Perfect Divorce could have been called The Perfect Sequel, because for all we learned at the end of its predecessor, I still did not see this ending coming. Absolutely worth a read for fans of the genre.

Sarah Morgan is back, and this time, she's divorcing husband #2. This book is filled with the same thrilling twists and turns that made the first installment so captivating, but with even more excitement and suspense. For fans of Jeneva Rose’s debut in this series, *The Perfect Marriage*, the author once again expertly keeps readers on edge, delivering surprises until the very last page. While I was able to predict the identity of the culprit, I was completely taken by surprise by the intricacies of how it all unfolded. Rose’s storytelling mastery ensures that you’ll be riveted until the very end.

This book was so much fun and so quick paced.

This book was just as addicting as the first. I had to know the ending.

I loved the cat & mouse game in it. You didn’t know who to trust.

Sarah Morgan is goals when it comes to revenge. I love her character.

I am a Jeneva Rose stan!

Her thrillers always help me get out of a reading slump and The Perfect Divorce was no different.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for sending me an advanced e-copy of this book.

If you are a fan of The Perfect Marriage like me and were curious to see what Sarah Morgan and her stilettos were up to, then I highly recommend this book.

My only problem when reading was that I found the twists to be very predictable. There wasn't any shock value.

However, I ate this book up in two days and I still had a very good time.

THIS IS SO GOOD. I flew through this just as fast as the first book. I love that she doesn't leave any loose ends that keep us wondering how something worked. It is all so methodically put together, it just works. Jeneva honey you have out done yourself.

I think Sarah Morgan is my favorite FMC I have read in a long time.

Thank you so much for the advanced copy!

Soapy, suspenseful, fun. Jeneva is the queen of modern suspense and domestic thrillers. I liked this one a lot and think both diehard fans and newbies to this author will like.

Jeneva Rose does it again! In this continuation, from the first novel, she continues Sarah's story and it is just as riveting. There are so many twists and turns that I found myself constantly trying to guess what happens next, who's doing what, and how it affects the main characters. I could not put this book down and I was so thankful to be granted and ARC rom Netgalley.

This book was even better than the first...how Jeneva Rose has gotten me to root for Sarah I will never know. It's quite masterful actually.

Twists, turns, and one "are you kidding me?" Moment

As always: read the acknowledgements. She never disappoints!

This is such a fun, fast-paced read! As the sequel to The Perfect Marriage, I strongly recommend reading that first to get the full experience.

The story picks up a year after the epilogue, with Sarah divorcing husband number two - while new evidence reopens the murder investigation of husband number one.

There’s a lot happening in this book, and at times, I had to pause and ask myself - what’s the main focus? I kind of wish we’d spent more time with husband 2 and dug into his choices because, seriously, how stupid can one person be?!

It’s no secret that I love a badass woman with slightly psychotic tendencies, so of course, Sarah Morgan is my hero!

That said, I never really felt worried for her. I wanted her to come out on top, but I don’t think she was challenged enough to make me doubt it.

The tricky thing with sequels is that once you know the formula, you kind of expect the outcome. That’s not to say I wasn’t completely hooked—I absolutely was. I carried my Kindle around, sneaking in paragraphs whenever I could! But unlike last time, I just assumed everything would work out.

Don’t worry, that’s not a spoiler - I definitely gasped out loud at the reveal! But I wish it had been just a little twistier. And I won’t give away Jeneva’s big secret in the acknowledgments… but trust me, it’s juicy!

Thanks to @Netgalley and
