It’s rare that I love a #sequel as much as the original #book, and although I think the first may have been just slightly superior, I still could not get enough of this one. I devoured this insanely addictive #supsensethrillerread. Is it entirely believable? No – but it works. I would recommend these to anyone who finds themselves in a bit of a spring #reading slump. You will not be able to put this one down, and your moral compass will be spinning as you are forced to root for some absolutely terrible people.
•
I will admit – giving no #spoilers – the mastermind in this one is clearly such a terrible person, but you cannot help but like and respect their sheer grit and brilliance, and as much as it pains me to admit it, this one had me rooting for the bad guy all the way through.

Picking up roughly a decade after “The Perfect Marriage” left off, brilliant, successful attorney Sarah Morgan is now the powerhouse behind her charitable foundation, which ensues post-release felons with an opportunity for redemption and success. Following Sarah’s first husband, Adam Morgan’s, arrest and imprisonment for the murder of his mistress, Adam has now been executed by the state, and Sarah is in the midst of the shambles of her second marriage to Bob Miller, also an attorney, whose infidelity forces her to make an impossible decision.
•
When a retired former law enforcement’s downfall results in evidence coming to light that Adam was wrongfully executed, questions about Adam’s case and Sarah’s involvement in it threaten to derail her life, and her quest for custody of she and Bob’s young daughter. Added to the mix, Sarah appears to be destined for tragedy and criminal association, as two women inextricably linked to Bob have vanished, initiating a separate investigation into Bob and Sarah’s involvement in the disappearances.

Only one criminal mastermind will escape without permanent scars from the truth (or someone’s version of the truth) that surfaces.

Rounding up to 4 stars. The first half of this book was quite slow for me. I struggled to get into it and really enjoyed it; I just felt like it was a little drawn out. HOWEVER, when I got to the second half, I began to understand some of the clues dropped throughout the first half, and it began to pick up for me. That said, I did like this more than I liked the first book, only because I guessed many of the twists that were going to happen in the first one. The second one, though, did keep me guessing, and some plot points had me literally :o So I appreciated that much more about this book. I was also shocked to see this isn't the last we will see of Sarah Morgan! So interesting, I can't wait to see where Jeneva takes the next book. Thank you so much to NetGalley for providing me with an e-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Hello readers, welcome to a new episode of "What's on your Netgalley shelf and why should we read it?"I'm your host, Michela, and today we are yapping about Jeneva Rose and The Perfect Divorce.
First thing first the book is a sequel so go and read The Perfect Marriage.
Sarah is back ladies and gentlemen and she is more scheming than before. 12 years after the first book Sarah, Bob and our favorite deputy/sheriff are backs to action in a whirlwind of unreliable narrators, plot twist and a carefully curated end.
What I love about Jeneva is her talent in story telling, she is so easy to read and before you know it you are at the very end already missing the characters. For this only I will always recommend listening to the audiobooks . The narrators did a great job capturing the characters.
I thought that at some point we were introduced to too many POV and was a little confusing, we could have easily skipped one of them but 100% recommend it!
A great who did it , with passion and mind games.
Thank you to Jeneva, Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for the ebook!

The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose is a fast-paced sequel that delivers even more suspense than the original. We follow Sarah Morgan as she faces the reopened murder case of her former husband, the story is packed with legal drama and psychological tension. With clever plotting and nonstop twists, it’s a read that thriller lovers will thoroughly enjoy.

This was a fun and fast paced read. As a fan of The Perfect Marriage, I thought this was a great follow-up. While a quicker read, I felt the length was just right. I'm not the best sleuth when it comes to mysteries or figuring out twists, so I enjoyed the surprises in this. Jeneva knows how to make characters you love, and you love to hate.

I really enjoyed The Perfect Marriage and I was so excited for the second book. The Perfect Divorce picks up 11 years after the first book and Sarah is now married to Bob, a mother and she has also gone through a career change. Sarah files for divorce when she discovers Bob has cheated on her. But her divorce turns messy when Bob mistress goes missing and to make matters worse new DNA evidence reopens her a murder case in which her late husband Adam was convicted. Jeneva did a wonderful job adding in red herrings throughout the story which kept me guessing but the storyline was a little predictable as it was similar to her first book since both of Sarah ex husbands cheated and their mistresses were targeted. That was the only part of the story that bugged me other than that the storyline kept me hooked and I could not put it down until I finished it.

I enjoyed that the audiobook had multiple narrators to convey the several point of views. Unfortunately I did not really care for any of the characters so that made it hard for me to connect to the story. Overall it didn't wow me or bring anything new to the table.

Wow—just wow. The Perfect Divorce absolutely delivers on every level. I’m a sucker for thrillers with powerful female leads, and this one checked all the boxes. Jeneva has crafted a main character who isn't just smart—she's playing 4D chess while everyone else is still figuring out the rules. Watching her maneuver through every twist and turn with a calm, calculated brilliance was so satisfying. I love when a story gives us a woman who isn't just reacting to what’s happening—she’s orchestrating it all, every single step of the way.
What really made this book stand out for me was how deeply strategic it all felt. This wasn’t just about a messy breakup or a little revenge—this was about planning years ahead to ensure the perfect outcome, down to the finest detail. And yes, revenge is definitely a dish best served cold, and in this case, it’s absolutely delicious. It’s rare to find a thriller where the satisfaction runs this deep, but The Perfect Divorce nails it. If you're into strong female leads and mind games that make your jaw drop, add this one to your TBR ASAP.

This sequel is even better and more drama filled than the first one!!!!!!!!! Jeneva Rose is a mastermind thriller author and this read is a fan for life.

In this sequel to THE PERFECT MARRIAGE, Sarah Morgan and her husband, Bob are back at it. Sarah and Bob are in the process of getting a divorce. They both have secrets and are willing to use them to keep the other on their toes.
The Summers case is being reopened in hopes that the police can finally solve the case. Sarah Morgan, who is trying to look innocent to the sheriff continues to stay at least one step ahead of her estranged husband. Bob Miller, thinks he has everything he needs to stay one step ahead of his former wife. The plot twists are strategically intertwined within the book to keep the reader on the edge of his/her seat. This is the ultimate thriller sequel!

The Perfect Divorce helped plug a few questions after The Perfect Marriage. This book was the perfect pace, and it was engaging throughout. Just like the first book, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Sarah and Bob are caught up in a similar mess AGAIN. You would think that the man who helped Sarah Morgan frame her first cheating husband would learn from his stupid mistakes, but no. This book is very suspenseful and entertaining every step of the way!
Thank you to NetGalley and the author for this ARC. All opinions are my own.

Amazing as expected! Jeneva Rose always knows how to write something that will keep me on my toes and craving more. Cannot wait to see where Sarah Morgan is headed to next.

Absolutely loved The Perfect Divorce! The Perfect Marriage is what got me back into reading a couple years ago and I’ve been hooked on Jeneva Rose’s books ever since. The Perfect Divorce was even better than The Perfect Marriage! It is a well-written story with exciting twists and the cover and blood splattered edges are chef’s kiss!

Prepare yourself. Jeneva Rose's "The Perfect Divorce" is not just a book; it's a detonation. A literary explosion that will leave your jaw on the floor and your mind reeling. Forget everything you think you know about divorce. This is a twisted, gloriously unhinged ride into the darkest corners of matrimony gone mad.
We're not talking amicable separations and shared custody here. We're talking razor-sharp secrets, venomous betrayals, and a game so dangerous, the stakes are life itself. Imagine a chess match where the board is littered with lies, and every move could lead to utter annihilation. That's the world Rose plunges you into, and you won’t want to leave.
The characters? Let's just say they redefine "dysfunctional." They're brilliant, manipulative, and so deliciously wicked, you'll find yourself cheering for their depravity. You'll be questioning their sanity one moment, and utterly captivated by their brilliance the next. Every page turns like a key unlocking a new layer of madness, a new level of "oh no they didn’t!"
This isn't a slow burn. It's a wildfire. A hurricane of plot twists and revelations that will shatter your expectations into a million pieces. "The Perfect Divorce" is the kind of book you’ll want to discuss with everyone you know, just to make sure you’re not the only one who felt their grip on reality slipping away. Dive in if you dare, but be warned: you'll never look at marriage—or divorce—the same way again. This is not just a read; it's an experience. An insane, exhilarating, unforgettable experience.

The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose is a gripping psychological thriller that picks up where The Perfect Marriage left off, following attorney Sarah Morgan as her life unravels. After discovering her second husband Bob’s affair, Sarah files for divorce, but things take a darker turn when new DNA evidence reopens her first husband's murder case. As the divorce becomes more contentious and Bob's affair partner goes missing, Sarah finds herself caught in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. Rose expertly weaves suspense, betrayal, and dark humor into a fast-paced narrative with multiple perspectives that add depth to the story. For fans of domestic thrillers, The Perfect Divorce is a must-read, filled with twists, dark secrets, and emotional complexity.

Jeneva Rose gives us another “perfect” psychological thriller with a cast of diabolical chatacters! A perfect upcoming beach read. Thanks for the ARC!

A narcissist can either be right or wronged. There is no in between.
Sarah Morgan is back. It's been 15 years since her husband Adam cheated on her, then, according to the jury, killed his mistress in a fit of passion and tried to cover it up. Sarah believed in his innocence (at least about the killing) and stood by his side. He was sentenced to death, although he had the best lawyer around...Sarah.
Thankfully, Sarah has moved on and has been happily married for about 12 years. She has a perfect daughter with Bob, who she just found out has had an affair, so she has filed for a divorce. But Bob's not having it. The divorce is about to get very, very messy.
Great thrillers with tons of twists and turns!
