Queen of twists? YES.
Queen of sequels? ABSOLUTELY

Jeneva Rose is quickly becoming one of my favorite thriller authors, not only for her incredible online presence and gaggle of silly geese, but because of her wit and fast paced writing. I will be honest and say that The Perfect Marriage fell flat for me, but The Perfect Divorce gave me everything I needed in a thriller murder mystery:
- A crazy, psychopathic, serial killer, bad ass woman
- A man who thinks he's smart, but really isn't
- A hot man named Alejandro
- Answers to my most burning questions
- And yet, more questions and new theories that will hopefully be answered in the next book (YES I READ THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS)

Life got in the way of my reading time, but otherwise, this would have been a read-in-one-sitting for me.

Holy crap. I really enjoyed The Perfect Marriage but this one was better!! I loved the pacing and since we all know how clever Sarah Morgan is - I couldn’t wait to figure out how she would spin everything to her advantage. And boy did she. I seriously hope that Jeneva continues the series because her character is a real favorite of mines. Talk about always being a step ahead. Sarah is always five steps ahead. It was such an easy and compelling read! I love the multiple POV and short chapters. If you loved The Perfect Marriage then you must read this! If you’ve been wondering if it’s any good. It’s so worth the read in my opinion. Excited to see whatever Sarah is up to next.

Thank you NetGalley for the digital arc and audiobook.

Sarah Morgan is back. It´s been eleven years since attorney Sarah Morgan was defending her husband in a murder case involving his mistress. She has moved on, but just recently found out about her current husbands affair...

When I was accepted to read this arc I was so happy. I really liked the first book in this series " The perfect marriage " so I was excited to continue. As always, Jeneva Rose puts you on a rollercoaster from the start in her books. You think you know what is going on but you really don´t!

I rated this book 3.5 stars.

The saga of The Perfect Divorce had me asking only one question: Will she get away with it? This book had the elements of what I considered to be a very good story. It had murder, attempted murder, setups and kidnappings. Sarah was a lawyer who was married to Nathan. He was accused of murder and she defended him, but she lost. As a result, he was executed. Not long thereafter she married Bob. Together they had a daughter, Summer.

Bob had an affair With Sandy which broke Sarah's trust. She then filed for divorce And eventually got an order of protection. Bob had never laid a hand on her but she said he did. Bob was dead set against the divorce and did everything in his power to make her renege. But she wasn't having it. And then the woman he had an affair with disappeared. At first, the police suspected. Bob but he was later absolved. Sarah was so angry with Bob that she decided to set him up. That's why he was suspected of doing something to the woman he had the affair with. Also, Bob had a hairdresser by the name of Callie, whom he saw regularly every 3 weeks. She too ended up missing and once again he was accused. Her salon had been ransacked and there was a fair amount of blood there. It was assumed she was murdered, or at the very least, harmed and kidnapped. As it turned out, both women were kidnapped and held in the same location.

There had been a murder that had occurred 12 years prior. The murder was unsolved. It turns out, the previous sheriff had had an affair with her, as had Nathan. The previous sheriff had been driven from his job due to his drunkenness. Later, he had gotten drunk and as a result killed a woman, so he was arrested. He was hospitalized as a result of the accident. As it turns out, he had held exculpatory evidence in Nathan's case. That said, Sarah reopened the investigation. Unfortunately, The previous sheriff was assassinated.

Sarah started the Morgan Foundation that was designed to help ex-cons start a new life. Bob had recommended a man by the name of Alejandro and he was accepted. Bob had decided that. Sarah was behind the missing women and he knew that she was the one responsible for the 12-year-old murder. Because he was furious with her about the divorce and all he accused her of, he decided he wanted to do away with her. So he hired Alejandro to kill her.

Although there was a lot going on, I had no trouble keeping up With the plot's twists and turns. And I thought the characters were very believable. I was quite impressed with this book and I would love to read more by this author. I gave it five stars.

This book is just as good as the Perfect Marriage. The murder board that I can create in my head is fantastic. Jeneva knocked it out of the park again!

Twisty, tense, and totally unputdownable. The Perfect Divorce pulls you into Sarah Morgan’s world, a powerful attorney now caught in a vicious divorce, a reopened murder case, and a game of cat and mouse with deadly stakes. Jeneva Rose delivers jaw-dropping twists that keep you guessing until the very last page.

This book was the perfect follow up to The Perfect Marriage. It kept me interested the entire time, and reading the first book really made me connected to the characters and their “ways”. I loved this series and I can’t wait for more!

A Perfect Divorce is a perfect follow-up story to a Perfect Marriage. Jeneva Rose has you guessing the whole time about the which story you think is true. Brilliant!

Sarah Morgan is back with more marriage problems…and solutions.

It’s pretty rare that I think a sequel is even better than the first, but this book absolutely exceeded expectations.

It’s fun to read a sequel thriller, not something I often have the chance to do. But knowing all of the characters already helped advance the story so much faster and left room for all kinds of interesting twists and revolutions.

Even when I thought I maybe knew where the story was going, I was still surprised (but not in a twist for the sake of a twist sort of way) and delighted when how the truth unfolded.

And BOOK THREE?!? I cannot wait.

Thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone publishing for providing me with a copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Loved, loved and more loved!!!!! I fell in love with this author when she wrote The Perfect Marriage and haven’t stopped reading her since. I couldn’t believe it when the sequel was announced. I had to read it. Also, this author has gone by another name, JR Adler. Those books are awesome too. Now let’s get back to this one. What made this book great for me was the characters. Wow, they were so evil and conniving. I’m talking all of them not just a few of them. Every person in this one had their own agenda and was going to get it no matter the cost. It was so fun watching it all go down. Next up, plot. This was so much more than divorcing a cheating spouse. There was a lot plotting and revenge behind the scenes to get what they each wanted. Some people even got the last laugh and were way ahead of what was truly going on. Now on to my favorite part, the ending. It was filled with so many twists and turns that I did not see coming. I gasped many times and it left me totally speechless in the end. I couldn’t ask for a better book. It had everything I look for in a dark thriller. Once again this author creates a wonderful book that I couldn’t put down and neither will you. I would even read the acknowledgments at that for a little surprise. I can’t wait to pick up another Jeneva Rose book.

The Perfect Divorce is the sequel to the Perfect Marriage. Usually sequels don't quite live up to the expectations, but I have to say this one far exceeded my expectations. Sarah Morgan is back eleven years later and is now married to Bob Miller and has a daughter named Summer. Unfortunately, Bob is also a cheater, like her previous husband Adam was. Sarah immediately files for divorce but has more important things to worry about when new DNA evidence is uncovered in the murder Adam was accused of and ultimately convicted and executed for. Two women also end up disappearing and Bob is the last person to see them both alive. It's hard to know who to trust and who to suspect. It was fast-paced, had lots of unforeseeable twists and a good dose of revenge. I loved the multiple points of view and the unreliable narrator aspect. I was so intrigued by trying to find out the mystery of what happened. This book was an absolute page turner that I could not put down. Jeneva Rose is quickly becoming one of my favorite thriller authors.

Some years ago, Kelly Summers was found brutally stabbed to death at the home of Adam Morgan, a novelist. Adam explained that they had sex and he left her sleeping because he had to return to DC. He was found guilty and seven years later, he was executed. Adam’s wife at the time, Sarah Morgan, claimed that she believed that Adam was innocent and he had probably been set up.

Today, Sarah Morgan is married to Bob Miller and they have an 8-year-old daughter, Summer. As Sarah is a talented attorney, she has set up a pro bono organization that helps people with their legal help. Bob has been having his affairs and Sarah is aware of it and tired of it as well.

Bob hates Sarah as he feels she is very slick and possibly a murderer. She is divorcing him and wants total custody of Summer. Bob is furious and wants Sarah out of the way. Thus, he sets up a plan to get rid of her.

It was even before this spot in the book that I found this story to be very confusing. Bob says Sarah’s guilty of murder and she says he is as well. This is quite gory and people are killed and tortured for what? Perhaps if I have read the first book, I would have understood this book a bit better. However, I don’t think I really missed anything. Sorry, this story was not for me.

It is rare that a sequel is just as good or better than the first book, but Jeneva Rose conquered that feat. I really loved The Perfect Marriage, so I had high expectations for this sequel. This book did not let me down! It met my expectations and then some!

This story was entertaining and had characters that I loved to hate. Sarah and Bob were something else. There were some deliciously dark thing happening and I was fully invested. The plot unfolds through various POVs, and there are side things happening outside of the main story that fit well in the grand scheme of the book.

The ending was dramatic in the best way possible, and there were twists and turns throughout that kept me more and more engrossed in what was happening. Overall I thought this was a great sequel. I hear there will be a third book, and I can't wait!

In a follow up to The Perfect Marriage, Sarah Morgan is back with her new but soon to be ex-husband, Bob. Bob screwed up and Sarah wants a divorce but Bob is fighting it all the way. Both have dirt on the other, so it’s a cat-and-mouse game to one-up each other in this diabolical fight to the death…of the marriage. I found this to be throughly entertaining yet highly predictable save for one HEA twist. There are many characters to keep up with, each having their own storyline, but the author brought everything to a satisfying conclusion! Without dropping spoilers, it looks like there may be another ‘Perfect’ in the future!

I genuinely didn’t think Jeneva Rose could top The Perfect Marriage with a sequel….. I was very wrong! The Perfect Divorce was even more twisted and shocking than its counterpart. 5 stars!

Ms. Jeneva has done it again, absolutely killed it. I loved The Perfect Divorce even more than The Perfect Marriage! The twists and turns in this one? Pure masterpiece. I couldn’t put it down and devoured it in under 24 hours… and I haven’t even picked up my special edition copy yet!
Every single character is so damn unlikeable, and Jeneva writes them so well. She's the queen of making you love the mean girls. 👏🔥
If you’re into dark, twisty thrillers with characters you love to hate, this one’s a must-read. Jeneva never misses. 🙌

Such a fun and twisty book, and a great sequel to The Perfect Marriage. No, these characters aren't likable, but they certainly are entertaining. The Perfect Divorce is a fast paced cat and mouse thriller, perfect for fans of The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson. Watching this husband and wife try to outwit each other was so much fun!
