Sarah Morgan’s story continues in this absolutely gripping, suspenseful thriller. Jeneva Rose has a way of weaving her words onto the pages and leaving you completely wanting more! Fans will not be disappointed as this is a definite read for those who loved The Perfect Marriage, and an utterly perfect success of a sequel, no pun intended!

Jeneva, you incredible human, you did it again! Normally, I get nervous for sequels seeing as they normally don’t hit that high that the first book did, but this was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Better than the first? Definitely. I didn’t think Jeneva could get better than the first, but she absolutely killed it. The twists kept coming, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The depth of the characters is amazing. Just when you think you have it figured out, another twist is thrown in. I couldn’t stop reading.

Thank you SO MUCH to Jeneva and Blackstone Publishing for the Netgalley ARC. It was incredible!

It’s been more than a decade since Sarah Morgan’s husband has been put to death for the murder of his lover. Sarah has moved on and married Bob Miller, her former arch nemesis. They also share a daughter together, Summer.

Sarah is trying to divorce Bob after apparent cheating, he swears it was a one time thing, and Sarah seems to not care either way. It’s her way out of this marriage. Except in the middle of her messy divorce, the former sheriff, now disgraced and a drunk has plunged them back into the media limelight after his DNA is released as the third man in the original murder.

I found that this book definitely needed a refresher of The Perfect Marriage. And with knowing that book, I was already coming up with theories. Did Sarah set up her husband’s affair? Did she set up the sheriff with his DUI? How will she use her new foundation and latest parole to her advantage? Bob knows he shouldn’t cross Sarah, but would she jeopardize him saying something? Or is she not part of anything sinister, but knows a smile can mess with Bob. Psychological mind games (for me too. A+).

At 30% in, my head was spinning with ideas. I loved it. I actually decided I needed to slow down in reading it because I wanted to work out all my theories. This made the book 5 stars for me.

I look forward to the audiobook. Jeneva confirmed that it will be a full cast. And her audiobooks are superb due to the full casting! Can’t wait!

Thank you NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the ARC.

I really enjoy every book that I read by this author I don't think there's been one yet that I haven't liked I prefer to listen to them by audiobook and I really like the narrator on this one the book itself was full of just the right amount of mystery and suspense definitely enough to keep you wrapped up and wanting to keep driving just so you can hear another chapter then another one then just a little bit more I'll go home in a few hours LOL

A bingable sequel to the Perfect Marriage! It's been eleven years since Sarah Morgan defended her husband on a murder charge. After being found guilty and put to death Sarah is struggling to put her life back together. She is now married with a daughter and running a non profit, everything seems on track when she finds out her husband cheated on her. Immediately filling for divorce should be the end of her issues, but Sarah finds herself on the wrong side of the law again when new DNA evidence comes out that could prove her first husband was innocent. Now everyone is trying to find the truth - no matter the cost.

This thriller kept me on edge with its gripping twists, intense suspense, and well-developed characters.

This is my 3rd book by this author and I think my last. She consistently delivers multiple POV books in which the characters have no discernible personality, and don’t can be so hard to keep up with whose you’re reading.

The story was ok, but could have been executed better. I think I felt the exact same way about “Home is Where the Bodies Are”. Great ideas, but her writing needs some growth. Was very happy to finish this so I can move on.

This was a wild ride. Was Sarah this crazy in The Perfect Marriage? I can't recall. This is one that comes together by the end of the novel and all of the threads are tied together. I look forward to another book about Sarah Morgan's future.

Positives:
Multiple perspectives
Darkly entertaining
Twists and turns along the way
Fast paced

Negatives:
The character of Sarah is so dark. She is a great mother, however, she is not very likable.

An overall entertaining and well-paced read!

Just finished! This sequel to The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose follows Sarah as she navigates her divorce from her second husband, Bob. As this relationship dissolves, Sarah continues to have turmoil created by the murder of Kelly Summers. This story of “till death do us part” is told from various perspectives as the chapters unfold.

With threads of The Perfect Marriage woven throughout, the reader begins to piece together what may be happening in The Perfect Divorce. Will you crack the case after the police reopen their murder investigation from years earlier?

With well-written characters and plenty of twists, this book is fast paced and kept me guessing! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Jeneva Rose is so good at what they do! The writing is well done and the characters are fleshed out so good. I did not want to stop reading and I was not ready for the twists and turns.

This book was a great follow-up to The Perfect Marriage! I loved that I left this book with the same feeling of disbelief as the first one. 😂

It was an engaging and suspenseful thriller with a wide cast of characters. Thanks to book one you have some idea of the key characters but everyone changes as the years go by….

I was thankful to be gifted an ARC and can’t wait to talk about this book with others!

Jeneva Rose does it again! This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I was once again not prepared for Sarah Morgan's involvement and mastermind plan. Finished this book in two days, definitely worth a read!

"The Perfect Divorce" by Jeneva Rose is a great follow up to "The Perfect Marriage". You immediately get sucked into the story and it will not let you go. Fantastic book!

Jeneva has done it again! She twists the story over and over to where you cannot figure out the end and makes you not want to put the book down! I didn't think that she could top the first one but its truly hard to pick which one is my favorite. At first, I kinda wished I would have reread The Perfect Marriage before diving into this, but it didn't take me too long to remember the characters and the original story. Short chapters and different point of views also kept me wanting to read more and more. Thank you for an arc in exchange for an honest review! I would highly recommend this book!

I am in Jeneva Rose's Facebook group, so I had been requesting this advance reader copy from there for a while. I was very excited when I was approved by the publisher, Blackstone Publishing, on NetGalley. I was late to the party, I didn't know about The Perfect Marriage until it was rereleased with updates. I admit the drama with Scott piqued my interest, but once I read the first book I was hooked. Well, the first book also included a sneak peek into this book that made me pre-order it to get the swag.

To the story, we started with Sarah having a happy life with Bob and Summer. Well, I guess we didn't learn our lesson from infidelity in the first book, so here we go again. I loved the various points of view we got to read this story from, as I admit I was confused at first. I could not put this book down and I was eager to finish it as I heard mentions of a third book.

*The Perfect Divorce* is the first book by Jeneva Rose that I’ve read. I didn’t realize it was the second in a series until I was halfway through. Because of that, it took me some time to piece everything together—there was a lot going on! But once it all clicked, I found it to be a great read with plenty of twists.

The story follows Bob and Sarah, a couple going through a messy divorce. As tensions rise, shocking details emerge about a past murder that indirectly involved Sarah—or did it? The characters were well-written, the side plot was intriguing, and the ending completely caught me off guard.

I think this book would be even better if you read the first one beforehand (which I now plan to do!). It was a real page-turner with lots of unexpected moments.

*** Thank you NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for this ARC.

Just when I don’t think this story could get any better, BAM. Jeneva does it again. So many surprises and twists, just so so good. You will not want to put this book down!

I absolutely loved The Perfect Marriage, it is one of my all time favorite audiobooks, so I jumped when I saw this book up and dropped everything to read it.

I did not enjoy this one as much as The Perfect Marriage as this one read more police procedural for me at times then domestic thriller, and I much prefer domestic thrillers. There was a question in the book that I felt was glossed over and not resolved. I would have liked a little more resolution on that one specific thing that happened. But other than those two things I found it very enjoyable and am glad I read it. I would definitely recommend this one to Jeneva Rose fans and fans of the original, I definitely think they will be pleased.

I never end up liking sequels as much as the original, but it's always fun to visit the main characters again. If a book three comes out I am sure I will read that one as well.

Thanks to Blackstone Publishing for my copy.

The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose is a suspenseful follow-up to The Perfect Marriage. Eleven years after Sarah Morgan helped her husband, Adam, avoid a murder conviction, she’s moved on with a new life and a new husband, Bob. When Sarah discovers Bob’s affair, she files for divorce, but things quickly spiral out of control as new DNA evidence resurfaces in Adam’s case, reopening old wounds.

As the investigation intensifies, Bob’s one-night fling goes missing, and the tension between Sarah and Bob escalates into a dangerous game of cat and mouse. While the book is filled with twists, suspense, and Rose’s signature red herrings, the pacing sometimes feels uneven, and some emotional moments could have been more developed. However, the suspense is undeniably gripping, and fans of The Perfect Marriage will appreciate the high stakes and intrigue.

A solid 4-star read, it delivers a thrilling ride but leaves some room for more character depth. I did not expect a sequel to the first book whatsoever, so it certainly came as a shock to see what happened, happen. As much as it’s an enjoyable read, I would have preferred it stuck to one book to keep the mystery more gripping. Once again, a very good book, but it truly could have gone without a sequel.
