Jeneva Rose has done it again! This book was so much fun to read! I actually enjoyed this one a lot more than I did the first one (The Perfect Marriage). A fast paced, jaw dropping, and gripping thriller, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I was constantly asking who was going to outdo who, thinking I knew what was going to happen and then be completely blindsided, and just overall completely hooked. I enjoyed the multiple POVs, it was exciting to read what each character was thinking. The ending was much more satisfying than the previous book and for that this book gets 5 stars from me! I will absolutely be recommending this book to everyone!

Eleven years ago Sarah Morgan defended her husband in a murder trial. She has moved on and started a family with her new husband, Bob Miller.
Sarah is not one to be cheated on, so when she finds out her new husband has cheated on her, she immediately files for divorce. But then his mistress goes missing and new dna evidence is found in her ex husband's case and she is right back in the spot light. What happened to the woman and is there actually a perfect divorce in the making?
This book does not fail to keep you on your toes. And Sarah is not one to be messed with, she is a mastermind and not someone you want to cross paths with. If you love a twisty read, this one is a great one to read.

The book was wonderful! It was so easy to follow after having not read the perfect marriage for awhile.

I cannot get over this book. I loved the twists and the fact that we should be reading more about Sarah in the future. I loved the special edition with the sprayed edges that came out as well.
The multiple POVs worked well.

You know how sometimes sequels can't live up to the expectations? Well, in the case of the 'Perfect' series by Jeneva Rose, the sequel is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT better than the original. The Perfect Divorce, set more than a decade after the events of The Perfect Marriage, closes up some loose ends, cleans up the writing, and makes the characters somehow even more diabolical and unlikeable. I wasn't a huge fan of The Perfect Marriage, but I'm so glad I picked up The Perfect Divorce! And, yes, even though I didn't like book one, you absolutely need to read it first as it plays a major role in book two. This is definitely NOT a stand-alone.
Summary (from the book blurb): It’s been eleven years since high-powered attorney Sarah Morgan defended her husband, Adam, against the charge of murdering his mistress. Sarah has long since moved on, starting a family with her new husband, Bob Miller, and changing careers. Her life is back to being exactly how she always wanted … or is it? After discovering Bob engaged in a one-night stand, Sarah wastes no time filing for divorce. However, amid their ugly separation, new DNA evidence is uncovered in the case against Adam, forcing the police to reopen the investigation and putting Sarah right back in the spotlight. Everyone wants to know what really happened, most of all former deputy Marcus Hudson, who is hell-bent on finding the truth. But when the woman Bob slept with is reported missing, he and Sarah start to fight dirty, and a high-stakes game of cat and mouse ensues.
My thoughts: Sarah Morgan is back and more manipulative than ever. Or is her current husband (soon to be ex husband) Bob the manipulative one? Or are they both playing each other? The characters are highly unlikeable, but not in a way that made me want to stop reading. The events that transpire in this book are extremly unbelievable - how sneaky can people be and never ever ever get caught? I don't know, but I'm totally here for it in the case of Sarah Morgan versus all of her cheating husbands. If you didn't enjoy The Perfect Marriage, maybe get a refresher, but then definitely pick up The Perfect Divorce. It's worth it! And you will be entertained, for sure.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Clever and twisty! Loved it! It is not often when a sequel is just as impressive and fun as the original! Perfect from beginning to end. I thank Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Jeneva rose is one of my favorite authors, I love her writing style.. This book was as good as the first one. It’s full of twists!
I love that you get a lot of bobs perspective on this book, I did reread the perfect marriage so I could have a fresh idea before starting this one and I still think it was kind of confusing, there was too many points of view, and sadly I didn’t like the ending that’s the only reason I gave it 4 stars

Thank you Blackstone Publishing and NetGalley for the digital ARC.
I liked The Perfect Marriage, but I enjoyed this book even more! It’s definitely over the top, but it’s a fun, quick read.

Jeneva Rose is fantastic! This series is fantastic! I could not wait to read book two so a huge thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing, Inc. for the ARC. Sarah Morgan is at it again, this time with a new husband - Bob Miller. And like her first husband, Adam, Bob cheats on Sarah so she files immediately for divorce. As if a divorce and custody battle wasn't enough, new DNA is uncovered in Adam's case and Sarah is once again thrown into the spotlight. Then Bob's mistriss goes missing and things get really messy. This book kept me reading well past my bed time and I couldn't wait to get to the finish, which was just as good as book one. I will recommend this series to a lot of patrons and I can't wait to read what Jeneva writes next!

The sequel to The Perfect Divorce is nothing short of a triumph, expertly filling in the open-ended plot lines from the first installment while introducing a fresh, suspenseful narrative that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. The author’s detailed writing style not only engages but immerses you in the richly crafted world, making it impossible to put the book down.
What truly stands out is the author's mastery of unexpected twists; just when you think you have the plot figured out, a new revelation sends your assumptions spiraling. The continuation of familiar characters, coupled with new challenges, adds depth and excitement to the story. With every page, the tension builds, leaving you eager to uncover what happens next. This sequel is a fantastic follow-up that not only satisfies but also leaves you yearning for more. Highly recommended for those who love a well-crafted tale filled with surprises!

Thank you NetGalley, Jeneva Rose, and Blackstone Publishing for providing me with this book in exchange for my honest review.
Jeneva Rose returns with The Perfect Divorce, the sequel to her hit thriller The Perfect Marriage. While I enjoyed diving back into the world of Sarah Morgan and her high-stakes legal battles, this follow-up felt a bit like retreading old ground. The plot structure and twists echoed much of the first book, which made the pacing feel slower and less gripping by comparison.
That said, Rose still knows how to weave a compelling courtroom drama, and fans of her writing will appreciate the familiar tone and tension. It’s a decent read overall—one that I’m glad I picked up, even if it didn’t quite match the punch of its predecessor. I wouldn’t rush to read it again, but it still offered a solid continuation of the story.

Thank you @blackstonepublishing for the gifted eARC!

This was such a delicious sequel to The Perfect Marriage! I was happy I did a reread of the first book, so I could full take in all the glorious details and craziness that happens in this story!
I enjoyed the multiple POVs in this story, especially from Sheriff Hudson’s side because we know some sinister things are always afoot and it’s fun to see police trying to sniff them out.
I love how many small things from the first book were brought over and incorporated into this new twisty sequel. What you think you know, might not actually be true!
Sarah is a master manipulator and it’s hard to dislike her as a character because she’s so entertaining. She isn’t someone I’d love in real life but she is a master at deception and pulling strings.
Just like the first book, I couldn’t put this one down! If you want a fast-paced twisty dramatic thriller, look no further!

✨ BOOK REVIEW ✨
THE PERFECT DIVORCE by Jeneva Rose
“I had no idea what I was walking into. The moments that shock you are the ones that live with you forever.” -The Perfect Divorce
❤️ Sarah Morgan’s life looks a bit different than it did 11 years ago when she was defending the case of her life. Her husband Adam was on trial for a murder he claimed not to commit. She is in her second marriage with Bob Miller, and is the mom of Summer.
🖤 Sarah faces a challenging time involving infidelity committed by her second husband, therefore, feeling divorce is the only way for her to move on with her life. In the midst of her filing for divorce to give herself closure, new information is discovered in the case against her first husband Adam. This new information can and will destroy everything she has worked so hard to defend. The reopening of her first husband’s case causes the police to keep a watchful eye on all involved from 11 years ago, trying to clear up messy police work, reexamining the evidence and facts, until someone goes missing. Who is this missing person? What is this person’s connection?
🔪 The Perfect Divorce was a twisty sequel to The Perfect Marriage. I loved reading about the life of Sarah Morgan. I am hoping the storyline continues with a third book. As I loved the first book, I did enjoy this second novel, especially the way some of the pieces were intricately weaved together. There are a lot of moving parts, and the chapters were told from different POV’s which kept me engaged, trying to guess how it all connected. I am patiently waiting to hear what happens next in the life of Sarah Morgan.
👏🏻 Thank you to Net Galley and Blackstone Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read The Perfect Divorce. This is out now, so pick it up and dive into the life of Sarah Morgan!

The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose was a perfect compliment to The Perfect Marriage. The story takes place 11 years after Sarah Morgan played the innocent wife in defending (or lack there of) her husband, Adam after being charged with murdering his mistress. She is now married to Bob her former co-worker and she finds out he had an affair, who is now missing. Immediately she filed for divorce & custody of their daughter and that's when the fun began. It becomes a full-out war with Bob knowing Sarah's ways. Not to give up too much of the story just know you are in for a wild ride. Sarah will absolutely do anything to protect herself and her daughter. Sarah is an absolute diabolical character but you can't help but root for her even when she does some really questionable things. I can say I absolutely loved this book. It did take a minute to remember how The Perfect Marriage ended but once it clicked I couldn't put it down. Per Jeneva this is not the last of Sarah we will see so I can't wait!
I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving my honest review voluntarily.

I read “The Perfect Marriage” by Jeneva Rose in the past and was so excited to receive an advanced copy of the sequel. “The Perfect Divorce” lived up to my expectations. It has the same types of twist and turns through the book. The ended was so good! I wanted to keep reading. I flew through this book and couldn’t put it down! Such a great book!

This was the sequel we needed! Not only did it clear up some plot holes from book 1 (and therefore raised my reading of that story) but it continued the glorious girl power that Sara embodies. Give me more Jeneva!!

One thing Jeneva Rose is going to do is write the HELL out of Sarah Morgan! The Perfect Marriage was done so well and then the came back and did it again with the Perfect Divorce! It’s an outstanding follow up to the first book and really nailed it home as to not underestimate Sarah MF Morgan! This book was full of “no? Is that really what’s happening?” And “wait did he really do it” to audible gasping!
I devoured this book and was very shook by the ending! That’s how you do it! Thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for letting me read The Perfect Divorce in exchange for an honest review!

I loved the roller coaster of a ride this book was! I thought I had it all figured out numerous times, but every chapter was a turn.

Thank you to @blackstonepublishing for the eARC and physical ARC!
I devoured The Perfect Marriage in an evening. It was the perfect thriller that kept you engaged and dying to know what would happen.
When I heard that a sequel was coming I was intrigued and excited. Jeneva Rose has written some great thrillers and I was looking forward to diving back into this world. I did read in tandem with the audiobook and it has excellent narration done by Adam Lazzare-White, Brittany Pressley, Andi Arndt, Mozhan Navabi, Andrew Eiden, & J.S. Arquin.
This novel was definitely interesting, I think as intrigued throughout and unsure exactly what was going on - the mystery was working for me. I appreciated seeing characters from the first book again and the world building and story deepening. If I had to guess I think this is building to more, particularly between former deputy Marcus Hudson and Sarah Morgan (FMC). Overall this was a fast-paced read that I enjoyed! Definitely recommend for fans of fast-paced thrillers, The Perfect Marriage and Jeneva Rose’s other works!

It’s rare that I love a #sequel as much as the original #book, and although I think the first may have been just slightly superior, I still could not get enough of this one. I devoured this insanely addictive #supsensethrillerread. Is it entirely believable? No – but it works. I would recommend these to anyone who finds themselves in a bit of a spring #reading slump. You will not be able to put this one down, and your moral compass will be spinning as you are forced to root for some absolutely terrible people.
•
I will admit – giving no #spoilers – the mastermind in this one is clearly such a terrible person, but you cannot help but like and respect their sheer grit and brilliance, and as much as it pains me to admit it, this one had me rooting for the bad guy all the way through.
•
Picking up roughly a decade after “The Perfect Marriage” left off, brilliant, successful attorney Sarah Morgan is now the powerhouse behind her charitable foundation, which ensues post-release felons with an opportunity for redemption and success. Following Sarah’s first husband, Adam Morgan’s, arrest and imprisonment for the murder of his mistress, Adam has now been executed by the state, and Sarah is in the midst of the shambles of her second marriage to Bob Miller, also an attorney, whose infidelity forces her to make an impossible decision.
•
When a retired former law enforcement’s downfall results in evidence coming to light that Adam was wrongfully executed, questions about Adam’s case and Sarah’s involvement in it threaten to derail her life, and her quest for custody of she and Bob’s young daughter. Added to the mix, Sarah appears to be destined for tragedy and criminal association, as two women inextricably linked to Bob have vanished, initiating a separate investigation into Bob and Sarah’s involvement in the disappearances.
•
Only one criminal mastermind will escape without permanent scars from the truth (or someone’s version of the truth) that surfaces.
