Jeneva does it again! This book absolutely
DELIVERED. Some books are better left at just the one, but I knew Sarah Morgan's story wasn't finished, and knowing the amazing stories that Jeneva writes, I knew this one was going to be out of this world good. I loved the tension between sarah and Bob, as if it was a race to see who would get who in the end, especially when Bob has damning evidence against Sarah. There were so many twists and turns and it's honestly scary how good Jeneva is at writing the perfect crimes, and not just that but so unbelievably intelligent to piece it all together the way that she does. This was such a gripping and unputdownable book that I was able to just binge. Highly recommend picking this one out, because it was equally as good, if not maybe even a little better than the first!

I’m always nervous with sequels, because there’s always a risk of them not living up to the original. And yet, that was never even a question for me when Jeneva announced this sequel.
And even still, I was blown away.
I loved the full cast audiobook—I was completely enthralled from the first chapter. I loved getting thrown back into Sarah Morgan’s world only to figure out what new scheme she managed to conjure up.
It was fascinating to jump into the future with these characters—to see Sarah post-Adam. To see her life with Bob. To watch their lives unravel one lie at a time—and to try to determine just who was lying…or if they all were.
History repeats itself when Sarah’s husband is accused of cheating—but instead of his mistress being killed like Adam’s, this one has simply gone missing. But that doesn’t matter to Sarah. She won’t stand to be tied to another cheater. Not again. And yet, other secrets come out in their town that require Adam’s case to be re-inspected at the same time that Bob comes under fire with the police department, too.
I love Jeneva’s way of weaving stories and twists. Sarah Morgan is one of the most calm, collected, and clever characters I’ve read to date and I truly wish this series would continue.
If you love twisty, suspenseful thrillers filled with domestic drama and the constant questioning of whose side you should be on? This is easily the book for you. But you have to read The Perfect Marriage first. Trust me on this.

I absolutely loved this and devoured it within days! No one mess with Sarah Morgan! She’ may look like an Angel but she’s wicked smart and will do anything to protect her and her daughter. This sequel kept me interested and was fast paced. Excited to read more!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱:
⇥ Jeneva's prose is smooth, approachable, and engaging, and it's clear that her style has matured since The Perfect Marriage. It flows easy and the inner monologues aren’t annoying at all.
⇥ The multiple POVs were a strong point. I loved seeing the story unfold through different lenses—it added layers and tension that kept things interesting.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗱:
⇥ This is 1000% a sequel you need to read after refreshing yourself on the first book. I dove in cold—five years after reading The Perfect Marriage—and paid the price. Characters, plot threads, and past twists were all a blur, and that majorly impacted my ability to stay grounded in what was happening.
⇥ And then there’s the main female character, Sarah Morgan. Yikes. I could not stand her. When you hate the FMC, it makes it nearly impossible to root for anyone or stay emotionally invested. Maybe that was the point—but for me, it just made the reading experience frustrating.
⇥ The detective's POV was realllllly hard to understand. I feel like he spoke with a sock over the mic.

★★★★/No Rating
I’m giving this four stars out of fairness to the writing and structure, but I genuinely have no idea what even happened by the end. That’s on me—I should have reread book one. I saw a few reviews saying this was better than The Perfect Marriage, and I wanted to give it a fair shot. But in the end, I was just too lost, and too annoyed by Sarah, to fully enjoy it. Maybe if you do reread the first one, you’ll have a completely different (and probably better) experience than I did.
Thanks to @netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts!

The Perfect Divorce is the sequel to The Perfect Marriage. Sequels can be tricky because a lot of the time it’s hard to live up to the original, but I am happy to say The Perfect Divorce delivers! If you haven’t read The Perfect Marriage first, you will want to add it to your TBR before reading this one, as the story continues with Sarah Morgan who in the first book was the attorney of her husband Adam Morgan when he was accused of the m*rder of his mistress. You will need to read how that goes, but where it ends is where this book pick ups. If you read it and worry you won’t remember all the details, you will get a quick summary in the beginning reminding you.
Sarah Morgan is back with Bob, her new husband and daughter Summer. Unfortunately she finds out Bob has had an affair. She asks for a divorce wanting to start new with her daughter, and wants nothing to do with him. He tries everything to get Sarah to give him another chance but when she won’t change her mind, he lets her know she will regret it. There’s another problem Sarah has to deal with and that’s new DNA evidence from her ex husband’s case that opens the investigation back up. On top of that, the woman Bob had an affair with is missing.
The rest of the story I will let it play out for you, but that’s just the beginning of the book. It was a fun fast paced ride, with many twists, some new characters, and some old ones. If you enjoyed the first one, I think this one is even better. It was great getting to revisit Sarah and see how life treated her after Adam. This was one of those books that I picked up every free moment I had because I was dying to see where it was all going.
4.5 Stars
Make sure you read the acknowledgement at the end, but do not read before you finish the book. It gives us some insight to the future, that I am very excited about.

This was a great follow up to The Perfect Marriage. I love Jeneva’s writing and seeing how she weaves an intricate tale of murder. Jeneva Rose is an author whom I always look forward to and is always on my list of most anticipated for the year. I love her humor and sharp witt.

The Perfect Divorce is an emotional rollercoaster wrapped in plot twist and constant questioning. From the very first page, I was hooked by the raw honesty and layered storytelling. Jeneva Rose has a gift for creating characters that feel real. There were so many plot twist within this story that I just stopped guessing what I thought was going to happen next.
Sarah isn’t the typical wife. She’s sharp, self-assured, and fiercely independent. But what makes her stand out is how layered and intelligent she is. Beneath her polished surface lies someone who’s still grappling with the decisions of her past that may come back to haunt her. But never underestimate Sarah Morgan because she’s always 10 steps ahead. Once she sets her mind to something best believe she’s going to handle it.
Poor Bob didn’t know what was coming to him. Sarah had him losing his mind without even laying a finger on him. I was really hoping Bob came out on top in the divorce and Sarah got what she deserved. If you read the first book and enjoyed it, then you’re going to love The Perfect Divorce! The sequel was way better than the first book!

The Perfect Divorce is the sequel to Jeneva Rose’s thriller “The Perfect Marriage.”
HOWEVER, it can be read as a standalone. Be prepared for a page turner, suspenseful, unexpected twists, on the edge of your seat, are you kidding me events one after another.
Eleven years have passed since Sarah defended her husband, Adam, against charges of murdering his mistress. (The Perfect Marriage). Sarah remarries. She has a daughter with her new husband Bob.
After a decade of marriage she learns Bob has a one-night stand. She files for divorce. Bob begs for forgiveness and Sarah won’t hear of it. He becomes aggressive in the divorce with threats of soul custody if their child etc. THEN his one night stand goes missing. This turn of events becomes a game of cat and mouse between the couple. I needed a board with colored tacks and string to figure who was attacking who. Kept me guessing the entire book. Everything ties together and I held my head after with thoughts of WTH. Fast read with each chapter being a different POV or characters side of events.
A must read!
Thank you NetGalley.
Thank you Blackstone Publishing for an ARC read in exchange for my review

**Review: The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose**
Jeneva Rose’s *The Perfect Divorce* continues the story of Sarah and Bob, diving deeper into their tumultuous relationship. The sequel expertly picks up from where the original book left off, maintaining the same tone and themes while introducing new layers of complexity.
One of the standout elements is the character development. Sarah, as a protagonist, remains as formidable as ever, with her complex motivations and internal struggles driving the narrative. Bob, her husband, also retains his strong presence, and their relationship continues to be fraught with tension. Both characters are capable of surprising strength and depth, keeping the reader invested in their journey.
The real star of *The Perfect Divorce*, however, is the plot. Rose does a brilliant job of keeping the readers on edge with an array of unexpected twists and turns. Just when you think you know where the story is going, the narrative shifts in ways that not only surprise but also make perfect sense within the context of the story. The pacing is spot-on, ensuring that the suspense never lets up.
As someone who received an advanced reader copy from NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing, I can confidently say that *The Perfect Divorce* delivers a thrilling and satisfying sequel that fans of the first book won’t want to miss. It’s a gripping psychological thriller that expertly navigates the complexities of relationships, power, and revenge.
I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended!

Well she has done it again!
And like myself I’m pretty sure we have been waiting for this book for such a long time!
I’m so excited and happy for Rose!
The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose was an absolutely gripping, edge-of-your-seat psychological thriller that kept me reading late into the night.
Her style of writing is just fantastic as the characters, story, plot, twists, turns, and everything else in between were all great.
I could NOT stop turning the pages.
If you are looking for a twisty ride that will keep you guessing, look no more!
The book is fast paced and suspenseful with a constant underlying feeling of foreboding and dread.
Every twist shocked me and I kept gasping every time something unexpected happened. I was incredibly invested in the characters and that made it really easy to follow.

Sarah Morgan is back and I couldn’t be more excited! Jeneva Rose is a stunning author, and this book is truly fantastic. The sequel picks up where The Perfect Marriage left off, with Sarah now starting the divorce process with her new husband, Bob Miller.
Throughout the book are completely unexpected twists and turns that are masterfully crafted. I thought telling from multiple points of view helped, especially the inclusion of the officer on the case. I appreciated the new character of Summer, Sarah and Bob’s daughter, because she added depth to Sarah’s character. Also, this is the first time I have read the acknowledgments in a book and actually gotten excited.

A total page turner. I couldn’t decide if I liked or hated Sarah Morgan. Throughout the entire book, I was so torn. I couldn’t out it down and thoroughly enjoyed this one!
10/10 recommend!!

So glad i got to read this book! Every Jeneva Rose book is full of twists and turns and this one was no exception ❤️ Cant wait to get my physical copy!

This book was an amazing sequel to The Perfect Marriage. The amount of detail was on par as well as the plot. I enjoyed the new characters that heightened the old ones from book one. The pace was great and well timed. The ending left me shocked and I can’t wait to see if the story continues. Which I hope I does because she is an amazing story teller.

I just finished reading "The Perfect Divorce" by Jeneva Rose. Many thanks to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the advanced copy in return for an honest review.
First off, I strongly recomment you read the first book in this series "The Perfect Marriage" for a great introduction to the main character of the story, a super confident, super crafty female lawyer named Sarah Morgan. She is a tour de force who refuses to be taken aback by anyone, especially her husband. This time, she is seeking a divorce from her socond husband Bob, who cheated on her, and despite his insistance that it was a one time thing, she refuses to change her mine. But this time she has a daughte, Summer, and she needs to protect her at all costs.
To make matters worse, there is a revelation in the book that the murder that her first husband was convicted of (in the first book) is being reopened because of police malfeascance, and Sarahis nervous because she has secrets of her own that she wants to keep hidden permanently.
So between her husband being a terrible persone, her secrets being threatened, and new revelations about the death of her first husbands mistress, there is alot of suspense and mystery in this book. Certainly enough to keep you turning the pages of this book to find out the truth.
This book was great because is was written by someone who knows when to divulge just enough information to make the story interesting and not frustrating. There was one complaint, and that is that there were a few details and questions left unanswered. But, maybe because there is a third book on the horizon abotu Ms. Sarah Morgan. I so, I am the first in line to read it.
Strongly recommend this book. You wont be disappointed.

Jeneva Rose delivers another gripping and fast-paced thriller in The Perfect Divorce, a sequel that effortlessly builds on the momentum of its predecessor while standing firmly on its own. This installment plunges readers even deeper into a world of murder, betrayal, and razor-sharp twists.
Rose does a masterful job picking up where the first book left off, creating a seamless continuation that expands the storyline without rehashing the past. Her ability to craft a fresh narrative while honoring the original is impressive, offering both new tension and familiar intrigue.
What truly sets this novel apart is Rose’s signature wit. Her sharp, clever prose adds a dynamic edge to the suspense, making even the darkest turns engaging and entertaining. The Perfect Divorce is a testament to Jeneva Rose’s talent for blending thrilling plotlines with smart, nuanced storytelling. She continues to prove why she’s a standout voice in the psychological thriller genre.

The sequel is a fireworks display in comparison to the first book! Sarah is baaaack with a vengeance! This one is a rollercoaster of thrills from start to finish! Just when you think you've cracked the plot, think again! The storyline dives into the shadows with some spine-chilling moments that'll have you gripping your seat for dear life. It's a lightning-fast read packed with unexpected plot twists and surprises. This one outshines the debut book by a mile! Trust me, disappointment is not on the menu!
Thank you for the arc’ NetGalley so glad I was able to read this book ahead of time. I will be buying the physical copy.

This might be my most favorite Jeneva Rose book so far...
The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose picks up 11 years after The Perfect Marriage. Sarah Morgan, now remarried and a mother, files for divorce after discovering her husband Bob’s affair. As their split turns messy, new DNA evidence reopens her ex-husband Adam’s old murder case. When Bob’s mistress goes missing, suspicion falls on both Sarah and Bob, pulling them into a tense game of secrets, betrayal, and suspense.
I LOVED this one!! I read The Perfect Marriage two years ago and really enjoyed that one, but I agree with several of the reviews I’ve seen that people claimed this book was better than the first. My favorite thing about this duology/series is that Jeneva’s twists are so thought out and you can tell she puts a lot of planning into the plot and twists. The number of characters did confuse me at first, and there were characters mentioned that I had forgotten about, so I recommend reading these two books back-to-back or at least close to one another. I’m so glad we got another story from Sarah Morgan’s POV!

“My client has no interest in reconciling the marriage,”
The sequel to the bestselling thriller The Perfect Marriage; till death do us part. Yours. Not mine.
‘To me trust is like glass. Once you break it, you can’t put it back together - and even if you tried, you’d end up cutting yourself in the process. So, you may as well just throw it away.’
It’s been eleven years since attorney Sarah Morgan defended her husband Adam against the charge of murdering his mistress. Sarah has moved on, starting a family and changing career trajectory. When Sarah finds out Bob (new husband) engaged in a one night stand, she instantly files for divorce. Amid their ugly separation, new DNA evidence is uncovered in the case against Adam, forcing the police to reopen the investigation. When the woman Bob had the one night stand with is reported missing, he and Sarah start to fight dirty and a high stakes game of cat and mouse ensues.
‘You have to pick your battles, and he and I are already at war.’
If you’ve read The Perfect Marriage you know just how cunning and manipulative Sarah is. Everything is so calculated and to be in her crosshairs is paramount to a death sentence.
‘I just need to beat her at her own game, and the only way I’m going go do that is if I accelerate my pace and do what she thinks I’m incapable of. Because if anyone can best Sarah, it’s me.’
A real the truth is stranger than fiction case. Twist after twist and many moving parts. Very easy to binge read. Multiple POV chapters.
‘I respect time more than anything, as it’s our most valuable resource. Money comes and goes, but time only goes. Not a lot of people realize that.’
Thank you so much to for my arc. The Perfect Divorce is out tomorrow, the 15th April!
