Jeneva Rose somehow gets better with each book she writes. I don’t know how, but they are addicting and insane. The characters are so easy to love and hate. So glad to be back in the story!

Thank you NetGalley and publisher! I will say, I have read everything Jeneva Rose has written, and I have never devoured one of her books as fast as this one. Main character Sarah Morgan comes across even more clever and calculated in The Perfect Divorce as she does in The Perfect Marriage. How is that even possible?! Of course it would be easy to spoil the story, so I won’t do that, but you HAVE to check this one out! 10/10. Chef’s kiss! Thank you for your brilliance Jeneva!

"Till death do us part. Yours. Not Mine." Unreliable...everyone!! Watch your back...most of all your heart! This is an amazing psychological thriller that will have you looking behind you. It is one of those books you need a diagram to keep all the characters in their places. Who is plotting who?
So many characters aligned with dark aggressive behaviors. If you read The Perfect Marriage, you will relate. The Perfect Divorce is even better with darkness and twists you won't see coming.
Sarah Morgan, a lawyer in The Perfect Marriage, defended her husband, Adam, accused and convicted of murdering his mistress. He was executed. Did she do her best to help or hinder the truth? 11 Years later, new evidence conveys he may not have killed her. With a shady police department and former sheriff, it becomes cringey.
Now Sarah is married to Bob but filing for a divorce and custody of their daughter after he was caught having a fling...and his mistress is missing.
This doesn't even touch the surface of the story. There are so many side shows and a compelling dramatic ending, but first you will encounter plot twists and unexpected turns that will change your understanding of the story or characters.
This is her best yet!!!
Thank you NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for this incredible ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book. It was the perfect follow up to the Perfect Marriage. I was glued to each page and couldn't put it down. I will read any book Jeneva Rose writes.

Many thanks to Blackstone and NetGalley for my gifted ARC.

4.5 stars!

After a messy divorce, Sarah Morgan's life is thrown into chaos when new DNA evidence reopens the murder case of her ex-husband, Adam. As Sarah navigates the fallout of her divorce and the renewed investigation, she must also deal with the disappearance of the woman her ex-husband had an affair with. With former deputy Marcus Hudson hot on their trail, Sarah and her ex-husband Bob engage in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. Will they achieve the perfect divorce, or will their past come back to haunt them?

It took me a hot minute to dive back into this literary world, but boy was it worth it! After devouring the first book, I couldn't resist jumping into the second one. And let me tell you, both books were an absolute delight.

The pacing was just right, and the wow factor? Oh, it was definitely on point. Once again, we have a brilliant leading lady who's not afraid to make those around her squirm. Writing one successful book is impressive, but crafting an equally successful sequel? That's next-level talent!

This second installment was twisted and a tad darker than its predecessor, and I was here for it. The clever twists and turns had me glued to the pages all day long. I even canceled my plans because I simply had to know how it all unraveled! Nail-biting scenes and a sprinkle of humor kept me hooked from start to finish.

If you enjoyed the first book's cat-and-mouse undertones and messy pasts coming back to haunt the characters, then this sequel is right up your alley. The plot was cleverly crafted and tied together beautifully in the end. Trust me, you won't believe how it all comes together!

But hey, I won't spoil the fun. You need to grab a copy of this book and dive in yourself. And if you haven't read the first book yet, do yourself a favor and start there. Trust me, it'll only enhance your enjoyment of this gem. So, what are you waiting for? Get reading!

Thank you, Blackstone Publishing, for the digital ARC copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I usually really enjoy Jeneva Rose but this book fell short. I think there was WAY too much going on. So much of it wasn't even believable which takes a lot of the fun out of it for me. I was literally rolling my eyes at times because it was so silly. I don't think this sequel was super necessary? It was still an okay read, just didn't love it!

wow...just wow. I had been patiently waiting for this one since I finished The Perfect Marriage. It did not disappoint!

This book was so ridiculously good! As you can tell, I thought it was even better than the first. Dark, fast paced with constant twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. Sarah is one savage character and I’m here for it!

Rose serves up a sharp, darkly comedic thriller that makes you question everything about love, marriage, and... well, divorce. When Sarah decides to split from her marriage with Bob, things take a wicked turn, proving that even the perfect divorce can get perfectly messy.

Jeneva Rose does it again! This book is everything I expected and more! I absolutely love her books. They are an automatic read for me. This is the best read right before summer!

The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose is an absolutely gripping read that kept me hooked from start to finish. I loved how the author masterfully blended suspense and dark humor, creating a story that’s both thrilling and witty. The characters are wonderfully complex, particularly the protagonist, whose moral ambiguity and emotional depth made her both relatable and fascinating. Rose's writing style is sharp and engaging, with well-crafted dialogue that adds to the tension without feeling forced. What I appreciated most was the way the book subverted typical divorce drama, offering a fresh perspective on relationships, revenge, and self-discovery. It’s a cleverly executed thriller with plenty of twists and a satisfying, thought-provoking conclusion.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #BlackstonePublishing for the book #ThePerfectDivorce by #JenevaRose. I absolutely loved this second book in the Perfect series and fingers crossed there is a third one soon. It was the perfect balance of conspiracies, back stabbing and murder with a plot twist I never saw coming. After Sarah defended and lost her husband, Adam’s case, she had a daughter with Bob and married him only to now be divorcing him because he was unfaithful. Conveniently, while they are battling back and forth, new evidence shows up in her ex husband’s case and it is re opened. Can Sarah and Bob have an amicable divorce or will it be death so then part?

One word: SAVAGE! This sequel is even better than the first!

*I definitely recommend reading THE PERFECT MARRIAGE before diving into THE PERFECT DIVORCE.*

Eleven years ago, Sarah Morgan defended her husband, Adam, on charges of capital murder for killing his mistress. She has moved on with her new husband, Bob and their daughter Summer. She no longer defends criminals, instead revelling in her nonprofit, which gives second chances to people charged with felonies. Life is good. Until it's not. When Sarah discovers that Bob had a one-night stand, she immediately files for divorce. But at the same time, new DNA evidence in Adam's long-gone case comes to light, reopening the investigation and thrusting Sarah back into the mess. When Bob's mistress is reported missing, things get EVEN messier and all gloves are off. Will they survive the divorce or will it be "til death do us part"?

Now this is how you do a sequel...with guns blazing!! With so many addicting twists, THE PERFECT DIVORCE is the perfect page-turning thriller. I knew to expect SHOCKING and malicious moments, but just when I thought I had it all figured out (I did have ONE part), Jeneva pummels you with more dark, vicious turns. Sarah is a force to be reckoned with and I LOVE her, even when I should be low-key hating her. Fast-paced and HELLA entertaining, I promise you'll DEVOUR the chaos!

And because inquiring minds NEED to know - will there be a third installment??

Wow wow wow. This book had A LOT going on. Definitely need to read the sequel, 'The Perfect Marriage' before reading this. There are a lot of characters and everyone is two timing everyone. Sometimes I have a hard time keeping track of all those kinds of things but this was handled very well and did not get overly complicated. Can't wait to see what kind of trouble Sarah gets herself into next time!

WOW!!! I don't know what Jeneva's mind is like or how she comes up with these ideas but I am here for it, I LOVE it and I need her to keep going. This was an incredible follow up to the Perfect Marriage. I was intrigued and hooked from the start, I gasped out loud at some parts and had to re-read others to make sure my brain read it correctly. (It did but WOW).

Thank you Netgalley and Jeneva for an ARC!

4.75 rounded up to 5!

This is the best thriller that I have read in a long time.

I enjoyed this more than The Perfect Marriage, which I really enjoyed. The plot of the story was good, far fetched enough, and I did not guess the twist!

The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose is a juicy, twisty thriller that keeps you guessing the whole way through. Sarah Morgan is a strong, sharp lead—you can’t help but root for her, even as everything around her starts falling apart. Just when she’s finally rebuilt her life after defending her ex-husband in a murder trial, her new husband cheats on her—and then things spiral fast.

What starts as a messy divorce quickly becomes a full-blown mystery, with missing people, reopened investigations, and secrets coming out left and right. The tension builds with each chapter, and when you think you know what’s happening, Jeneva Rose throws another curveball.

It’s fast-paced, dramatic, and full of sharp dialogue. I’m giving it four stars instead of five because some of the twists feel a little over the top by the end—but honestly, that’s part of the fun if you’re in the mood for a wild ride.

If you love domestic thrillers with a splash of courtroom drama and a lot of betrayal, The Perfect Divorce delivers.

My anticipation was high (and everyone else’s, I’m sure) for the sequel to The Perfect Marriage, and Jeneva Rose delivers a follow-up that more than meets expectations. Picking up where the first book left off, this thriller maintains a gripping pace and a consistent sense of suspense that keeps you fully engaged from beginning to end.

Jeneva expertly weaves multiple plot threads throughout the novel, creating a layered and complex narrative that demands your attention — and rewards it. The twists are plentiful, the stakes are high, and the tension rarely lets up, making it a worthy continuation of the story fans first fell in love with.

In preparation, I revisited The Perfect Marriage, and I’m glad I did; the refresher enhanced the experience and helped me fully appreciate the nuances of the sequel. As far as follow-ups go, this one is strong, smart, and satisfying — a testament to Jeneva’s growing prowess in the thriller genre.

With each release, Jeneva Rose proves she’s a name to watch, and I can’t wait to see where she takes us next.

Thank you to Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for the advanced reader's copy of The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose.

I was eager to dive into this novel and revisit where Sarah was now a decade later after the end of her marriage. This book did not disappoint. We discover that Sarah has married Bob and they have a daughter. Bob has an indiscretion himself and Sarah finds out. This book follows them getting a divorce while also trying to navigate the cunning behavior they both know the other is capable of doing.

This novel will keep you on your toes with all the plot twists.

There's a lot happening in this book, perhaps too much. We navigate multiple POVs and storylines: Sarah, juggling being a mom and also dealing with Bob's infidelity (because clearly he didn’t learn from what happened to Adam!), a few women in the area go missing with convenient ties to the MMC, and the reopening of Kelly’s murder case.

Overall, the narrative feels cluttered. While the ending does bring everything together, the journey to get there felt overloaded and convoluted. I really enjoyed The Perfect Marriage. It kept me engaged and focused on a detailed plot. I’m not sure every book needs a sequel. This installment felt like it was trying too hard to outdo its predecessor, ultimately resulting in a less satisfying reading experience.

3.5 ⭐️ rounded down.

- If you didn’t like the first book, don’t read this one. You’ll hate it. Also, this definitely should not be read as a standalone, or you’ll be so confused!

- Every single adult character is extremely unlikeable.

- You need a suspension of disbelief to enjoy the twists because as it’s said multiple times in the book: “The truth is stranger than fiction.”

- There was a strong police procedural vibe to this book, and I really personally can’t get into that genre.

Thank you to NetGalley, Blackstone Publishing and Jeneva Rose for the opportunity to read this digital ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

Jenna Rose delivers another suspenseful story that I dare say is better than The Perfect Marriage. I love Sarah Morgan and all the twists that this books offers. While I guessed some of the twists, I enjoyed every bit of this journey. Don't pass over the acknowledgments! Thanks to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for an advanced copy.

Thank you Blackstone Publishing for my gifted copy!

I will never forget the first time I read The Perfect Marriage. The light that popped on above my head when I realized the coffee shop mentioned was my favorite coffee shop to haunt on the weekends. But not even just that! The storyline, the writing, the twist. I remember feeling like my jaw had hit the floor. I was stunned. So… going into The Perfect Divorce, I expected the same moving and thrilling experience.

And it just wasn’t. And that bums me out. I kept waiting for that same propulsion. The same gripping feeling that kept me turning pages. I kept waiting to be shocked and awed, and I just wasn’t. I thought it would end with a bang, but all I was left with was the thought that these characters were DSM definitions of psychopathy.

It’s fine… I’ll still get my copy autographed at the end of April. 🥲
