Runaway fun. Cass and Logan hook up at a hotel bar in a hilarious start to the story. When he turns up in her mind office two years later things get even more interesting. The dialogue is fun and flirty with undertones of sexual tension. Baby Olivia is delightful and mischievous. The little mystery the author has built into the plot adds real depth to the story. It as an easy book to read that will give you plenty of opportunities to laugh and keep the pages turning to the happy ending.

This story is a quick delicious tasty treat right from the start. This is the perfect pick me up book to enjoy on a lazy afternoon in the sun or cozy up on the couch. It was sweet with loads of charm and drama to hit all the right places with the good feels. Will be looking for future books by this author. Would recommend

3.5 stars

A cute story about Cass and Logan who run into each other again two years after their initial meeting.

Logan is undercover as Cass' administrative assistant while investigating her department. She is shocked to see him again and nervous about how to tell him, or if she should tell him, that their night together resulted in their daughter Olivia.

It was a nice change of pace to have a little bit of mystery mixed into the plot. It really plays a part in Cass and Logan's relationship and even how he handles getting to know Olivia.

I do wish we had seen a bit more relationship building between Cass and Logan, but the dual POV at least allowed for seeing each of their feelings for the other.

Don't know why this one caught my attention except possibly because of the single mom status having been one myself. Parents that also thing controlling with money older children is obnoxious. so this combo also picked my curiosity on how Cass was really gonna handle this. Then there is also Logan whom grabs your attention with him haha being a large part of this one. Since he thinks he has a secret I liked when a secret grabs him. The flow of this one is greatly enjoyed with this author having the ability to integrate you into a story for a delicious escape.

An absolute must read! Because Logan! There's so much more to the story aside from Logan... but Logan!
Cass works for a defense contractor and is attending a conference where she meets Logan while he's tending bar. They spend a night together and Cass returns home to her job as a Director in the company she works for, with a little extra baggage. While Cass does try to find Logan, she's resigned to being a working single Mom and things are going well. Forward two years when the company is having security issues and a consultant working undercover is brought in. Logan works for CSIS, the Canadian version of top government security. Logan's assignment is to fill in the role of Cass's PA.
The security breach is coming from her work group. Imagine Cass's surprise when she meets her new PA. Imagine Logan's surprise when he sees her two year old child mirror image of himself. Add to the mix her kind, elderly neighbor who has her grandson coming to visit for a while and it's none other than Logan. Cass works hard at what she does and has an extremely high work ethic. She views Logan as a non-motivated bartender, now secretary and next stop is some island in the tropics where he's going to kick back and play beach bum. She's not really impressed with Logan. Logan has his hands full, trying to get close to Cass again, solving the security leak in her company and adjusting to being a dad along with combating Cass's perception of him.
A wonderfully well written story, great characters and a few nice twists and just enough suspense and steam and the book was a great read.
This was my second read of this book.

arc from NetGalley and Entangled for an honest review

In the past, I have not been a fan of the romance genre, because often the stories have no substance and the characters too fluffy. This book drew me in from the very first page with a great story and strong characters. Cass is a single mother, having spent one night with Logan. Two years later she comes face to face with Logan, her daughter’s father. Of course, I hoped Cass would end up with Logan, but how they got to that point was a beautiful and fun read. I chose this book to read because it was published by Entangled. I had read The Last Letter, published by them, which was one of the best reads of my life, so I decided to try another. I certainly will read more!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story of a one night stand that should have remained a wonderful memory, but instead had lasting consequences. Cass is an engineer that isn't taken seriously by her peers, and the facts that she's young, tall, and pretty, doesn't help her. Her department doesn't take her seriously and the "good old boys" undermine her at every opportunity. Logan is an undercover special investigator who is sent as an admin assistant to investigate Cass's department. Thus they begin a push-pull relationship with their baby as the wild card.

I found myself caring about the characters and felt invested in their story. I loved how Cass had overcome adversity to make something of herself. Logan is a very sexy undercover investigator who is constantly living a lie....to the extreme that his own family doesn't know about his job.

If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list.
