I fear that Claire Douglas might just not be an author for me. I've tried a few of her books, but I haven't been fully invested in any of them.

This book definitely kept me guessing on the relation of the two story lines, something about the deception- I was lying, no I wasn’t, that was a lie- I didn’t love that. Overall it was ok. Super weird but kept me engaged.

ARC review: Thank you NetGalley and the author/publisher for this ARC copy!

The beginning had me hooked but the end fell flat for me. I was very shocked and very surprised but I wanted more! I couldn’t guess who did any of it so that was nice to be wrong.

This was my first book by Claire Douglas, but it won't be my last. "The Wrong Sister" was a solid read.

Tasha and Alice are two sisters who experienced a tragedy in their childhood. Their baby sister, Holly, was abducted in broad daylight and never found. They've lived with a mother who struggles with the grief and guilt daily. Tasha grew up to live a quiet life with her husband and two children. Alice is a superstar scientist who is living a life of leisure with her wealthy husband. One week they decided to swap lives. When a horrific tragedy occurs, the sisters find that danger still lurks around every corner. Who is the mysterious woman that is seen near Tasha's home? Is she possibly involved somehow?

Overall, I give this one a 3.5 star review. It had a good plot, dragged a bit at some points. The ending could have been stronger.
A big thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I couldn't put this one down and read it in one day! Intriguing present day and historical mysteries that intertwined. The characters and the settings were interesting. This would make a great vacation read.

I loved this book! It was one of those where you think obviously this is the case and it turned out what you thought was not the case at all. It was a book I couldn’t get enough of, one where each chapter leaves you begging for more. If you like mystery/thriller/suspense you will love this book.

The Wrong Sister pulls you in from the first page with its twisty plot and eerie tension. Claire Douglas masterfully explores the complex bond between sisters; love, rivalry, and buried secrets. It’s a gripping, emotional mystery that keeps you guessing—and second-guessing—every character. A perfect read if you like suspense with heart and depth!!

Creepy, twisty, and totally addictive. The Wrong Sister pulled me in right away with its dark family secrets and unreliable characters. I kept thinking I had it figured out—and I was wrong every time. Claire Douglas nails that unsettling vibe without going over the top. If you like psychological thrillers that mess with your head, give this one a shot.

Two sisters switch places for a weekend, and the unimaginable happens. The plot twists are cleverly executed, and when you think you’ve figured things out, it twists again. The writing has emotional depth with psychological intensity, peeling back layers of family dynamics, hidden resentments, and long-buried truths.

Really good but a little too long for me. I don’t really enjoy her writing style either which I have come to learn after trying a few of her books

I love Eleanor Tomlinson’s voice so I seek out all of her narrated books. I listened to this book in one sitting, trying to piece the mystery together. Tasha and her sister Alice are under attack- is it a case of mistaken identity/location, are they both being targeted, is this a woman scorned, a business deal gone bad, or something else entirely? I had different theories over the course of the book and enjoyed the twists and turns as all was revealed!

Have you ever wished you had a sister or wished your sister was your best friend? This suspenseful tale will keep you guessing until the very end!

This is one book that ever word and description caught my attention. When I thought I knew what happened and who the killer was a twist came along.. The story was interesting and well written. Many things were going on a baby missing for 30 years, a dead husband, unexplained DNA, yet it all tied together.

One part I'm still not complaining clear on was why Tosh was being watched while on vacation with her husband?

laire Douglas is one of my go-to thriller authors. I love how she builds tension in such a quiet, creeping way until suddenly you’re in too deep to put the book down. The Wrong Sister was no exception—eerie atmosphere, family secrets, and a mystery that kept me second-guessing myself the whole way through.

I was fully invested, and the twists were solid (one in particular had me stunned), but I didn’t feel quite as emotionally connected to the characters as I wanted to. There were moments that felt just a touch repetitive or slower than necessary—but honestly, that’s me being picky.

This is a perfect pick if you’re in the mood for a slow-burn psychological thriller with dark family drama and a few expertly placed shocks. Claire Douglas never disappoints—she’s firmly on my auto-read list.

A domestic thriller with a lot of possible suspects. This was a decent thriller with a few unforeseen twist. It was a little slow for me, I would have enjoyed it had it been a little bit faster paced. It seemed like it was missing something. It had a lot of characters that were a bit hard to keep up with at times. However it was still a decent read. I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of: family drama, slow burn & tension. Thank you NetGalley & Harper Perennial fort his ARC

This one started slow for me, and I was convinced I knew the outcome. However, I was pleasantly wrong and the huge twist got me good! Two sisters who lead such different lives, decide to do a “life swap.” But after what seems like a burglary gone wrong, ending with the death of one of their spouses, the sisters team up to find who is targeting them.

My biggest complaint was that one of the POVs was never fully explained, so I have many questions!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and publisher for the ARC!

How can two sisters be SO different?

Tasha, married to Aaron, lives close to her hometown with their two children. Alice is an uber-smart a renowned scientist, married to Kyle - no kids by choice. Needing a break, Alice offers up their Italian home AND offers to babysit for a week. While Alice may not have her own kids, she sure loves Tasha's!

Shortly into their vacation, Tasha receives a terrifying call that her sister and brother in law have been attacked - killing Kyle and landing Alice in ICU. No one can work out what brought this on... until a note arrives to indicate that the intended target was none other than Tasha.

The ending was one I did not immediately see coming, and in fact many of my theories along the way were quite wrong. I enjoyed the ups and downs and different voices throughout, and would love to read more from Douglas.

Thanks to NetGalley, Harper Perennial and Paperbacks/Harper Perennial and Claire Douglas for the eARC.

4/5
I enjoyed this one, however, I felt like the ending was a little flat for me. I enjoyed the whole storyline but i felt like it could have went a little deeper for me. It was a page turner and honestly, that’s where it’s at for me. If it keeps me interested, than I’m going to keep reading it.
