I love a thriller and this was wild. I didn’t call the twists and was engaged from the start. It felt like a quick read which I absolutely love in thrillers.

The power of good writing and a well-structured plot. It stands as a testament to the author's talent and dedication to their craft, providing readers with an enjoyable and thought-provoking experience. Whether you're a casual reader or a literature enthusiast, this book is sure to leave you with a sense of fulfillment and a desire to explore more of the author's works. So, for anyone looking to delve into a captivating story, I wholeheartedly recommend picking up this gem—it may just become one of your favorites, too.

Twisty, turny, thrilller. This book follows two stories a long ago kidnapping and murder. There is a lot of family dynamics throughout the story that are very relatable to anyone. I truly did not see that ending coming. All throughout the read your trying to figure out who the attacker was. The way it is written keeps you turning pages with the cliffhanger chapters. I think I audibly gasped when it was revealed who the aunt was 🤯
The only reason I rated this as a 4 star not a 5 is sometimes the it felt the book could be a bit slow but is definitely a good read and I will recommend it.
This was my first book by Clare Douglas and I’m pretty surprised since my library is mostly thrillers. How have I not heard of this author?!?! So I thank Netgalley and HarperCollins Publishers Ltd. for the ARC and the introduction to a new author.

5 stars for that ending! I love all of Claire Douglas’ books but this one might be my new favorite! 2 sisters with very different lives decide to life swap so the sister with the kids and dwindling marriage can get a chance to reconnect with her husband but then it all goes terribly wrong. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

This was my first book by Claire Douglas. I feel like it started off strong and kept me interested. I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen, and it kept me guessing. Around 30% through it felt kind of drawn out and slow. Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy.

Pulled me in from the very beginning! I was intrigued by the missing daughter and dead husband. Actually I was hooked! Very suspenseful. I would highly recommend for thriller reader like myself.

A missing daughter. A dead husband. So many interesting aspects to this new novel by Claire Douglas. I was actually surprised at the end, and I always love that! Each book of Claire’s gets better and better!
Thank you to NetGalley for this arc!

Oh wow... I was really intrigued by this book and very impressed! I thought the writing style was amazing and I definitely read this book pretty quickly. The mystery of this storyline was fantastic. Must read!

Good writing and a fun premise keeps you guessing in this solid but somewhat predictable mystery/thriller.

this was an awesome book. i really think the author knows how to tell a story and keep you on the edge of your seat. i would love to read more from this author.

This book focuses on who killed Kyle and what was the tragedy involving Holly. I loved the bond the sisters had throughout the book. This book starts out fast, slows in the middle, then ends on a fast pace. It was very easy to read in a couple of sittings for me. There was a vital clue in the first part of the book that gives the killer away, but it doesn't take anything away from the book. Overall, it's an enjoyable read.
Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

Claire Douglas does it again with The Wrong Sister! This book had me hooked from the very first chapter. It’s a gripping story about family, secrets, and how well you really know the people closest to you.
The relationship between the sisters is so compelling — tense, emotional, and full of surprises. Every time I thought I had things figured out, Douglas threw in another twist that completely caught me off guard. The characters felt real, with flaws and motivations that kept me guessing about who to trust.
What I loved most was the atmosphere — it was so haunting and full of suspense that I couldn’t put the book down. The ending? Absolutely jaw-dropping. It was the perfect mix of shocking and satisfying, and it stayed with me long after I finished reading.
If you love thrillers with twists you won’t see coming, The Wrong Sister needs to be on your list.

I've struggled to enjoy this one. It starts off pretty strong with two sisters planning to "trade places" with Tasha and her husband Aaron staying in Venice at her sister Alice's apartment while Alice and her husband Kyle, a super wealthy and privileged couple stay at Tasha's house to babysit Tasha's twins while they are on their trip.
It started off so, so well and it just began feeling flat for me, like we weren't actually getting anywhere in the story. I don't mind alternating perspectives but they are becoming so intermixed it's hard to tell who is actually talking because they all sound exactly the same. Jeannette is annoying; the way she coddles after two grown women is absurd. Yes, it's understandable that she has some trauma from losing her baby but she's the dolt who left a child outside in a stroller to run into the supermarket. I mean, I know our parents didn't care about us in the 80s and 90s but that still seems like a stretch.
I just didn't enjoy the writing style at all unfortunately. It dragged on and on and I found myself not caring if they all ended up getting it in the end.
I do very much appreciate the opportunity to read and review this book. Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the advanced review copy. I was not compensated for this review.

Even though I anticipated the twists it didn't deter from my experience, well paced and kept me hooked throughout, great cast of characters that felt well rounded and authentic

Thank you so much to NetGalley for a copy of this book it was really good and I would rate it 3/5 stars!

3⭐️ for an average thriller. Started off strong and lagged in the middle…then the ending felt rushed. Lots of family secrets but the way they were woven into the narrative made them obvious as to how they would impact the story. Overall, it was just ok for me!
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!

The writing kept me interested throughout the book. The only reason I couldn’t give it a fifth star is because I ultimately guessed both of the big twists. I’d still recommend this to those who like thrillers.

The Wrong Sister is a wonderfully written slow-burn thriller. There are plenty of twists and turns that kept me interested and allowed me to read it in a day. However, unless there is a sequel, the ending was disappointing. I can’t elaborate without spoiling it. I would read it again, even with the ending the way it is!

•That ending?! What did I just read??
•Tasha is married with children living a quiet life in her hometown. Her sister, Alice, lives a life of luxury with her husband. As Tasha’s wedding anniversary approaches, Alice suggests “swapping” lives for a week so Tasha and her husband can have a romantic getaway.
•While away, Tasha and her husband receive a devastating phone call— Alice and her husband have been attacked. He’s been murdered and Alice is in critical condition. The couple rush home, only to uncover some dark family secrets…
•Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Perennial and Paperbacks, and Claire Douglas for this ARC. It will become available on August 5, 2025.

This was a perplexing one to solve, and was generally surprised at the ending. Enjoying Claire Douglas books lately but she's written 10 do I have some catching up to do!
