It's really cute, I smiled (almost) all along the listening of the audiobook.

Rowan is courageous and stands up for herself and for what she believes in, protecting the vulnerable. I admire her character and personality. She is fierce and protective. True to herself. One day she stumbles upon a baby dragon and decides to care for it... She rescues it from poachers who were threatening.

"The dragon was the size of a cat, and as heavy. It was struggling to balance, and she was filled with protectiveness for this little creature."

It's an uplifting story, plus I really am in my dragon phase, and I was so pleased to follow along their adventures with those magical creatures.

This is an absolutely stunning children’s story about dragons, witches and magic! I adored it and can’t wait to read more from this series. The book has such beautiful illustrations which bring the story to life perfectly and that cover is just gorgeous. This is the perfect adventure story to introduce little ones to the magic that is the fantasy genre!

Five glowing stars for this book about Rowan and her family Rowan loves animals and finds that she shares this love with her family. The book is fantastical and thrilling with twists and turns. My 6 year old loved this. The narrator is amazing.

Into the Dark Forest is a fantastic start to a chapter book series about a girl who discovers she can speak to mystical animals. I really liked this one. It is very fast-paced and would be perfect for kiddos who are just starting to read chapter books. I loved the descriptions of the dragons & all of the fantasy elements. Plus, that cover is fantastic!

This book was such a fun read and I loved that I could share my enjoyment of dragons, fantasy worlds, strong female characters, animal activism, and fantastical magic with my daughter in a way that she and I could truly enjoy together. It’s so important to see strong, young female role models who are courageously fighting for what they believe in and doing what’s right even in difficult circumstances. Rowan set a great example of being courageous and protecting those around her even at the risk of her own peril.

For moms who love Forth Wing, ToG, and When The Moon Hatched this is the perfect fantasy starter book for your children.

an amazing story about moving to a new strange place, making friends and trusting your instincts. the dragons are adorable and the kids clearly care about them so much. Grandpa is a great character that trusts the kids to do right, and when they make mistakes or wrong choices there are fair and just consequences. the family loves each other including the white wolf that acts as a babysitter
