This is the sixth installment of the Eventing Series and delves deeper into the personal story of Jules and her role in the co-op horse world. She’s a committed teacher and rider who is trying to do it all. Her carefully constructed world starts to break apart in the beginning of the book when she begins to hint at dropping out of race because she doesn’t have enough time to prepare. Enter her coach, Evan, and his quest to see her succeed and help himself in the process. This book/series is for a true horse lover that is familiar with and intrigued by the horse world. I felt it was quite slow to peek my interest. The action started to pick up for me in the last third of the book. I do love horses and romance, but the book was very difficult for me to dive into and persevere throughout. I would have liked to have more attention grabbing events popping up throughout the story.

Natalie Keller Reinert has once again taken her readers on a winning ride. Prospect, Book 6 in the Eventing Series shows how much Jules has matured and evolved while she balances her own horses, her students, the Co-Op, a demanding coach, an unexpected setback, and having Pete off in California on what seems to be a journey of self discovery. Jules handled all of the issues that she faced with grace. I was so proud of her in this book.

Natalie Keller Reinert, as always, does a fantastic job of representing life with horses in an incredibly realistic way.

I cannot wait to dive into the next book. I'm so excited for what comes next for our favorite eventing riders based on how this book ended.

Thank you to NetGalley, Flatiron Books, and Natalie Keller Reinert for an eARC of Prospect.

Too much of a good thing - three successful horses and a barn full of beginning eventers - have Jules on the run. Pete is across the continent, the co-op barn’s parents have troubling new ambitions and a new member named Clay. How will Jules handle the pressure of her own success? As always, the horse elements are spot-on and Jules is evolving as a person. Fun cameo appearances by Alex and Grace add to the enjoyment for those who have read the series. Reinert once again puts readers in the saddle for a 5* read. Highly recommended.

I received an ARC in exchange for my review. All opinions expressed are my own.

“Prospect” is book six in the “Eventing Series” by Natalie Keller Reinert. In this book, Jules is once more showing her maturity, manning the Co-op on her own while Pete is across the country in California. Jules once again steps up when necessary, but also realizes things about those surrounding her - and herself. It’s great to see Jules’s maturity and take-charge attitude. Once again, the horsing events (and craziness) seems to be on par with what I’ve been told - what a wild ride.
