I am really enjoying the Sophie Allen series by Michael Hambling. It was suspenseful, thrilling and had plenty of action. I liked the story it kept my interest all the way through and there were some plot twists that kept me guessing. You can read this as a stand alone novel but I recommend starting at the beginning of the series as there is a lot of back information that would help understand the dynamics and relationships in the book. Highly recommend it’s a cracker of a read.

Sophie is still in the hospital recovering from injuries sustained during the the last investigation. Barry is back from his honeymoon, so he’s the boss during this investigation. Three strange events happen that seem more than just a coincidence. Then a murder scene is revealed. How are these events related and what do they have with a specific company? Barry, Rae, Tommy, and new recruit Jackie work together to solve this series of crimes. With Sophie’s diagnosis up in the air, teamwork is essential. Decent mystery and I liked seeing Rose and George again.

Fantastic new British mystery! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one! Can’t wait for more! This book had exciting suspense, intriguing, action, murder, thrilling mystery, a fantastic who done it and a few wild twists and turns! The story was very interesting and had me glued to my kindle!
