I was looking forward to this one after how much I loved book one. I must admit that I had a hard time getting through it. The pacing felt slow, and I just couldn’t stay fully locked in until the very end when things finally started to unfold. What kept me reading was the desire to have the unanswered questions from the first book resolved, and I was glad to get that closure. That alone made it worth finishing.
What stood out to me the most was Phoebe and Rocky. Their connection was one of the strongest parts of the story. Once the lies within their families started coming to light, it felt like everyone was trying to figure out how to move forward while still carrying the weight of what they kept hidden to protect the people they love. Even though this didn’t turn out the way I hoped, I’m still glad I read it and saw how everything came together in the end.

Thank you so much to Berkley & NetGalley for this e-arc.
I couldn't wait to start reading this book because it picked up where the dishonestly yours story left off. I truly like the idea of discovering a found family. The group dynamics and behaviors of these characters were some of my favorites. I couldn't wait to start reading this book because it picked up where the dishonestly yours story left off. I truly like the idea of discovering a new family. The group dynamics and behaviors of these characters were core six programmed into them, which I love! They would go to any lengths for one other since they are incomplete without one another. I'm excited to see how everything comes together in the last book of this trilogy..

I loved this book! I love Phoebe and Rocky so much!!! I love their family unit and all the absolutely craziness they go through and cause! It was a bit long, in my opinion, but I really did enjoy the entire story! The suspense mixed with its spicy content was a lot of fun and I am really glad I decided to read these books and I look forward to the next part of the story! All you need to know about this series is, sexy con artists. ❤️🔥

Firstly a big thanks to @kbmritchie & @valentine_pr_ for my arc, truly so grateful!! OMG this book!!! I was hooked!! After reading and being obsessed with the first book and that cliff hanger I was beyond excited to dive into this one and it did not disappoint!!! I love the found fam aspect of the gang and Phoebe and Haileys relationship is truly everything!! The twists and turns we got kept me captivated from the get go!! What a ride!! Rocky & Phoebe are my absolute faves, their chemistry is unmatched!! Truly undeniable! The spice 🥵🔥 this series is one I will forever recommend!! I cannot wait for the next book!!🖤

“Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see”.
This quote perfectly encapsulates how both this book, and its predecessor make me feel. The mystery, the drama and the angst.
“There is never a day, a night, a minute, a moment, a breath where you aren’t destructively mine. And I hope that f*cking terrifies you”.
If KBR writes it, I will read it.

₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱WHAT TO EXPECT⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚
🥸 Con artists
💸 Rich people drama
🥸 Snarky banter
💸 Found family (but half of them are related)
🥸 Strong female friendship
₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱PLOT⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚
💸 In the last book, Phoebe and Hailey were trying to retire as con artists and live normal, honest lives . . . yeah, that didn’t last long. In this book, they’re back to grifting rich people. Not that I’m complaining bc I love the con artist storyline.
₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱CHARACTERS⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚
🥸 Rocky. If Connor + Ryke + Loren had a baby, it would be him. He’s protective and curses like a sailor like Ryke, is cynical and honest to a fault like Loren & arrogant like Connor. I love all the Addicted + Calloway boys with my entire being, so obviously I love Rocky too <3
💸 Phoebe. LOVE HER TO BITS AND PIECES!!! She’s so funny and sarcastic lmao I live for her one-liners. She would also do absolutely anything for her friends and family, and I love a selfless queen ❤️
🥸 Jake. He’s a little bit prissy and pretentious, but I love him anyway.
💸 Hailey. My genius bookish bestie is going through it 🤧 She has suffered so much trauma as a result of her parents’ lies and it’s finally starting to take its toll. It’s a good thing she has such an amazing support system bc she’s not sleeping or eating unless being told to. All she wants is answers and she’s willing to sacrifice her well-being to get them.
🥸 Oliver. He is so charming for no reason pls ✋ he always seems so carefree and light. I can’t wait to (hopefully) get his book bc I just know there’s so much going on underneath the surface and I am dying to get into his psyche.
💸 Nova. He’s Phoebe’s older brother and he is HOTTT. He’s so protective and responsible, I can’t help but be in love with him. He’s the one that looks out for everyone during the cons and makes sure they're taken care of. I wish he were real so he could take care of me the way he takes care of everyone else but sighhhh he’s fictional 😔
🥸 Trevor. He’s an antagonistic genius who LIVES to piss people off. He’s v entertaining. He reminds me of an internet troll. I’m very curious to see more of his relationship with Sydney/Sidney (I forgot what the spelling was oops) because I cannot imagine him being tender and sweet with anyone lmao
₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱FRIENDSHIPS⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚
💸 Hailey & Phoebe’s friendship. If there’s one thing I like to see it’s girls supporting girls and these girls support tf out of each other. There is genuinely nothing they wouldn’t do for each other. They will choose to protect each other over themselves in every situation, no matter what. The love they have for each other is so unconditional and unyielding. This is by far one of the strongest female friendships I’ve ever read about.
🥸 Jake + Rocky’s rocky friendship. hehe. see what I did there? “Rocky’s rocky" friendship. I’m hilarious. Anyway. Moving on. I LOVE THIS FRIENDSHIP!!! Enemies to friends is a criminally underrated trope. They’re completely opposites, but they fit so well together. Jake is straight-laced and polite, Rocky is a criminal and rude. Yet somehow it works. It reminds me of Ryke & Connor’s friendship. They start off despising each other, but slowly start to enjoy each other’s presence. By the end of the book, they are relying on, worrying about and looking out for one another. Their relationship has progressed so much since they met and it’s been beautiful to see 🥹
₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱WHAT I LIKED⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚
💸 The way the world is being set up. They’ve successfully created interesting & lovable side characters with their own complexities, backstories and struggles. I’m so excited to get each and every single one of their books. It’s hard to make your side characters as compelling and complex as the main characters, but they have managed to do it. These authors are so good at creating fictional universes, it’s actually crazy. When this series is completed, it’s going to have the same effect as the Addicted + Calloway Sisters series did. It gives very similar vibes without being a carbon copy because of the wildly different plots.
🥸 The con artist stuff is so fun!! I love being on the cons with them and fooling arrogant, gross rich men & women 💅
💸 THE BANTER!!! They deliver on snarky banter AND lighthearted, teasing banter
🥸 The Oliver, Jake & Hailey pairing. I’m so incredibly desperate for their book. Oliver and Hailey have so much history bc they grew up together, and I’m excited to get all their lore. It’s clear that there’s more there than what Phoebe or Rocky know and I want to uncover it all asap. My favorite scenes between them were when 1) Oliver read her The Grapes of Wrath until she fell asleep and 2) any time he would feed her or put her to sleep. I’m very interested to see how Jake will fit into their already established dynamic. We haven’t seen much of Jake/Oliver’s dynamic, so that’ll be fun to explore in the next few books.
💸 The sibling relationships. As someone who loves her siblings more than anything or anyone, it’s always nice to see strong sibling bonds reflected in my books. All of the main characters share such close, loving bonds with their siblings (besides Jake bc his family sucks) and it’s genuinely so beautiful. They may fight and bicker, but they’ll all die for each other with no hesitation. The way they’re all so protective and caring towards their siblings touches my heart ;,) They have each other’s backs, especially against their parents. You can definitely tell this was written by a sibling duo based on how much sibling bonds are focused on in this series and in the Addicted + Calloway Sisters series.
₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱WHAT I DISLIKED⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚
🥸 It felt like scenes were missing. There were a couple of times where we’d do a mini-timejump and the important moments that occurred during that gap would be explained briefly instead of shown. I don’t understand what the reason was for skipping parts that matter? If it’s important enough to be explained, it’s important enough to be shown. This isn’t a PowerPoint presentation, I came for an immersive story, not a SparkNotes summary slapped between chapters. It made the story feel clunky and disjointed at times. Luckily, it didn’t happen very often.
💸 Every smutty scene was exactly the same. They all consisted of him holding her wrists down and banging her while she halfheartedly fought him. There was never any variation. It felt redundant to have so many sex scenes and for them to all be the same. If restraint and power play is their kink, no shame, but give us a little something extra to spice it up here & there or it gets boring.
🥸 The labeling of women’s clothing as trashy, slutty or both. It only happened once or twice, but once or twice is still once or twice too many in 2025. This kind of language is outdated and has been for years, so there really is no excuse. Women shouldn’t be shamed for showing a little skin, especially at the freaking beach. It’s a body. We’ve all got one. Get over it.
₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱Recommendation⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚
💸 If you like this book/series, you should go read the Addicted + Calloway Sisters series by the same authors if you haven't already. A lot of the core themes in this are found in that too (found family, sibling bonds, recovering from emotionally manipulative & controlling parents, etc.) The character dynamics are also similar. Happy reading!

Destructively Mine by Krista and Becca Ritchie is book 2 in the Webs We Weave series. This book picks up right where the first book leaves off. I love the character development through this book. I also love the romance but with the suspense of the main characters. The supporting characters are also perfect. These authors have a great way of immersing the reader in the story. I'm going to need book 3 ASAP as yet again we are left wanting to know more.

Destructively Mine Author- Krista and Becca Ritchie Series- Webs We Weave Book #2 (Standalone) Rating- 5 Stars out of 5 Genres- Contemporary Romance Tropes- Con Men, Small Town, Grumpy x Grumpy, Dating While Fake Dating Someone Else, Best Friend’s Older Brother Main Characters- Phoebe and Rocky Spice Level- 3/5 Cliffhanger I am a huge fan of Krista and Becca Ritchie, I've been obsessed with their books since I started the Like Us series. And with all the I've other books read from them, no other book by them have hit my top three book by them. Destructively Mine just hit top three books by Krista and Becca and it might be my favorite book of the year and I read a lot. Personally I found book one in the Webs We Weave series, Dishonestly Yours, wasn't my favorite book. In retrospect I feel that all of book one was setting the stage for the beauty that is Destructively Mine, so I appreciate Dishonestly Yours a lot more now. Book one set up so many mysteries that were answered in Destructively Mine and it lead to even more mysteries and that cliffhanger, I literally screamed. While I enjoyed the original core six players, Phoebe “the seductress”, Rocky “the silver tongue”, Hailey “the mastermind”, Nova “the getaway”, Oliver “the chameleon”, and Trevor “the psychopath”. The addition of Jake "the king" really rounded out the group and helped with the con they have planned. I've also enjoyed seeing all the love prospects for Hailey. We have the forger, Carter, that Hailey envisioned spending a crime filled life with, Oliver, the boy she grew up with and helps her process her emotions, and finally there is Jake, third son of a wealthy family who could offer her a normal life and gets her. My favorite part of this book was all the banter between Phoebe and Rocky. From the start of the series we saw they "hated" each other and with that came just the best jabs and poles at each other. When they started their relationship those jabs didn't stop they just became more loving and gentler but still entertaining. Honestly my least favorite part of this book is that I now have to wait for book three, Dangerously Ours.

Ok, here we go. Dishonestly Yours was my first book by Krista and Becca Ritchie, and I really loved it. The tension between Rocky and Phoebe, the forbidden love, and the complications of their story were things that hooked me and made me obsessed with them. However, this book was a disappointment. I couldn’t care less about Jake’s problems and everything surrounding that storyline. I understand that it makes sense for the plot, but honestly, I would have preferred if the direction had been different. I think just Phoebe and Rocky’s story as con artists, going against their parents, would have been enough for me and I would’ve enjoyed it much more.

“There will never be a day, a night, a minute, a moment, a breath where you aren’t destructively mine.”
love those characters. Love the whole family dynamics. Love the con artists plot line. I love Phoebe and Rocky’s chemistry, it’s just so explosive. I’m so excited for the next book and definitely excited to read more about Hailey. I’m so invested in this series.

I’m really liking this series! After the cliffhanger of the first book, I was anxiously awaiting this one, and a lot of my questions were answered. The twists and mystery of the plot draws you in and keeps you hooked. I also enjoyed getting to see some of the other characters more in this book as we start to learn more about them. The family and relationship dynamics are interesting, and you get to see a lot more of that in this one. I also loved getting to see Phoebe and Rocky get to be together after wanting to for so long. This did feel a little bit long at times though, and the pacing felt a bit off at times, but I still had a good time reading it. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this series has in store!

I really enjoyed this books storyline. The con-artist plot was so fun. The one thing I didn’t like was each time Phoebe and Rocky were together there was an explicit scene. I don’t mind a scene or two but the con-artist plot is too good to just be overrun by spice scenes. Not sure if I’ll finish the rest of the series if they’ll continue like this.

It was a dnf for me. I struggled through the first one and hoped that I could get interested in this one but it didn’t happen. I just couldn’t connect with the characters. I’m sure some people will love this book, but it wasn’t for me right now. Sorry!

I had such high hopes for this after how much I loved the first book, but I think it fell victim to a second book slump.
I can’t totally put my finger on what about this wasn’t working for me, but it was at least partly because I felt like it was missing the same level of stakes from the first book and it strayed away from the romance between Phoebe and Rocky to focus on other aspects of the plot that just weren’t as interesting. The plot as a whole felt very drawn out, and I didn’t feel like Phoebe and Rocky developed their relationship any further. They had some great moments, but didn’t spend a lot of time connecting on a deeper level. I also don’t tend to like time jumps in books and there was a jump of several months in a random spot for kind of no reason…
Maybe it’s just me, but I also personally do not like Trevor… I wasn’t his biggest fan in book 1 and he only pissed me off more in this one. He’s dramatic, I’ll give him that.
The introduction of a romantic subplot for Hailey was interesting, but also entirely predictable. I like her character, but I found her story getting repetitive as well and I 100% saw the end coming.
I’m still giving this 4 stars because I LOVE Phoebe and Rocky and I enjoyed the book for the most part, but it did drag at times. I hope book 3 can redeem the series.

ARC review
I enjoyed this addition to the Webs We Weave series! At times it felt like it was dragging a little, but I absolutely loved for the Rocky and Phoebe scenes. Oh to be loved this way:,) I’m still contemplating my final review.

I was definitely eager to read "Destructively Mine" as a continuation of the Webs We Weave series.
It was interesting to see how the story progresses for Phoebe after book 1 and the inner dynamics of this con artist "family."
There were a few moments that it felt a little drawn out but I still enjoyed the story nonetheless. I am curious to see if there will be more to the series soon, perhaps from another character's perspective.
Thank you Berkley for selecting me for this ARC.

3.5 Destructively Mine picks up right where it left off in Dishonestly Yours
This book is a very spicy time, I do wish there was more build up of relationships instead of every scene with them together having just pure spice, I hope book 3 has more relationship building!
There were lot of little twists in this one, I did like that, I was really invested in what was going on and the whole story continuing.
Love how Phoebe and Hailey could be there for eachother throughout the book with their struggles
Did drag at times, it was a longer book for sure didn’t need to be over 500 pages, I did guess one of the twists even though it was still a good twist, there’s still some mystery around it so I’m excited to see how it pans out in book 3.

4.5✨
Another chapter of wickedness and deceitful behavior that outdoes even the craziness of the first book. I’m obsessed. Second book in an amazing series about a found family of cons. Dishonestly Yours was definitely one of my favorite books of 2024 so to have another book about Phoebe and Rocky’s whirlwind of a love story, I was so hooked.
The plot just keeps thickening in this series and I could not put this book down that’s how intense and insane it was, in the best way possible. Phoebe and Rocky has that kind of chemistry that you don’t see too often like they’re twin flames. They have always been infatuated with each other but because of how they were raised and how their lives were, there was never a good time to be together until now in Victoria.
Destructively Mine is jam packed with action, like it was none stop in that category. When you thought something was over, something new started and I loved it. Phoebe and Rocky’s romance this time around was steam filled and the romance was definitely turned up a notch. The fake dating was out of the world, and the secret relationship was done to a tee. There’s no one that writes the man obsessed trop like KB. Rocky is THE blue print when it comes to an obsessed man. I loved jumping back into Rocky and Phoebe’s the world of conning and everything that follows made me scream multiple times like the plot twists? I was gagged.
And the snippet of book 3 in the end? I AM YELLING.
Thank you Krista & Becca and Valentine PR for my ARC.
✨ What to expect:
— small costal town
— childhood friends to lovers
— family of con artists
— fake dating
— found family
— best friend’s brother
— conning and grifting
— tons of plot twists
— secret relationship
— grumpy x grumpy
— boy obsessed
— close proximity
— steam filled
— morally grey characters
— they con dirtbags out of their money

Let’s talk about emotional tension, morally gray pasts, and two characters who practically bleed love and regret. Destructively Mine is book two in the Webs We Weave trilogy, and it gives me the story I didn’t know I need. Phoebe Graves and Rocky Tinrock two have known each other forever, loved each other for just as long, and yet… they’ve never taken the leap. Why? Because their entire lives have been built on deception. (side note: I did not read book one of this trilogy, and I did not feel lost at all.)
Phoebe and Rocky didn’t just grow up around con artists—they were the cons. Raised in a world where love is leverage and truth is negotiable, they’ve perfected the art of surviving by pretending. But here’s the kicker: Phoebe is done. She’s tired of the lies. The chaos. The weight of pretending to be someone she’s not. Which she tries to make a reality with settling in a Connecticut town. And Rocky? He might just be the biggest complication of all. Well… we find out the town itself might be bigger than he!!
Destructively Mine delivers ALL the angst and longing I crave. Phoebe is a fierce, layered heroine who is ready to reclaim her life. And Rocky? He’s that emotionally wrecked, rugged hero who keeps you hooked.
What I loved most is how Destructively Mine peels back the layers of survival, legacy, and identity. It’s not just about love—it’s about choosing who you want to be when the world has told you you’re nothing more than your past. Phoebe and Rocky’s journey is messy, aching, and so beautifully done. While I usually loathe a flashback, they keep this story moving with the insights into more.
If you’re into found family, emotional slow burns, and characters trying to escape the life that raised them, this book is for you. And while you can read this on its own, trust me—you’ll want to start from book one for the full emotional payoff. There is a great cast of characters that are just as important to the story, and secrets are reveal that leave us begging for book 3.

After anxiously waiting for this sequel to book 1, I was not disappointed. This book was everything I was hoping for. The con is on and the web keeps getting more and more tangled. The jaw dropping twists had me glued to the pages. That ending had me grippes and I can't wait for book 3!!
