Destructively Mine is the second book in Krista and Becca’s ‘Webs We Weave’ series. I was anxious to read this, as the first one ended on such a cliffhanger. I’m happy to report that we got most of those questions answered, but this book ended in a way that has me craving the third book!
I love Pheobe and Rocky more in this book than in the first. I feel like we got to know them better and see them for who they are. I loved getting snippets of the past. Their love is legendary.
Another thing I truly enjoyed in this one is seeing so much of the other siblings. Also, Jake. He’s an addition to the group I didn’t expect to love so much. I’m glad this series isn’t ending and we get more from this gang.

If you’ve read Dishonestly Yours, then you already know we’re diving into some seriously messy family drama. This book takes things up a notch with mind games, deceit, and a whole lot of Robin Hood energy (think: steal from the rich, give to the… well, steal from the rich some more). And yes, there’s a love triangle—or maybe we should call it a deceit triangle because things get complicated.
It’s all about those “best intentions” leading people down really bad paths, and the tangled mess that follows. I’m not gonna lie, at times I struggled to keep track of who was telling the truth and who was spinning webs of lies. But it’s part of the fun, right? 🤷♀️
Quick heads up: You definitely need to read Dishonestly Yours first. This is a continuation, not a standalone, so you’ll want to get to know the characters before jumping into their new messes.
I know I’m not the only one who is LOVING this series. One reader said, “I think I loved Destructively Mine more than the first book!” and honestly, same. The twists, the turns, the tension... you’ll be hooked from the first page.
So, if you’re looking for a book that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat (and possibly questioning who’s on your side), grab this one when it comes out. I can’t wait to hear what you all think!

The writing in this book felt really familiar in a good way. Krista & Becca Ritchie's writing is very comforting to me after being so obsessed with the addicted/calloway sister series! This book was fast-paced and each chapter kept me wanting more. My favorite thing is definitely Rocky and Phoebe's relationship. I love them so much! Their chemistry is palpable and their banter is really fun! Rocky reminds me of Loren in the best way!! I liked that we got to know the other characters a little more and I would love to see some of them have their own story!! However, some characters annoyed me as well particularly Trevor and Hailey. Maybe I don't understand Hailey's character, but her crisis took so much of the book that it got exhausting towards the end. Trevor was just mean for no reason which I didn't appreciate at all. Getting to know him and his intentions better could make him more lovable. While I prefered the first book in the series, I had a good time reading the sequel:)
Thank you Berkley for an advanced copy!

I really don’t know what to say other than this just dragged. I couldn’t for the life of me get into this and the storyline just seemed so juvenile to me. The writing wasn’t bad, and some might really enjoy it but I just can’t seem to love any of these characters. I do love a morally grey MMC so Rocky was my fav but not enough to continue this series.
Thank you Net Galley for this arc in exchange for an honest review*

This was so fun! I definitely like the first book of the series better, and was overall more engaged, but I’ll definitely still be recommending this! Soooo excited for book 3 - I love these characters so much and miss them already! 🥹

If Dishonestly Yours was a slow burn, Destructively Mine was PURE FLAMES!! Krista and Becca have a talent for weaving tension so intense and passionate into their stories, and the way Phoebe and Rocky's relationship developed from the time we met them in book one to now really demonstrated that. Packed with family drama, a bit of mystery, and insanely hot moments between characters we love, Destructively Mine was a great follow up in this series. I can't wait to read what's next, because I NEED to know what happens next

3.75 stars
After enjoying the first book in this series and being a huge fan of the addicted series by kbr, I was so excited to dive into this one. I enjoyed this book but I did struggle with the flow of the plot at points. The beginning was harder for me to get into, but the end was fast paced with fun twists that kept me super engaged!
Overall, I had a fun time reading this and I look forward to seeing what happens next in this series! I truly loved learning more about the dynamics between characters and the found family with KBR is always top tier!!
Thank you so much to Berkley and Netgalley for the arc copy, all opinions are mine! I can’t wait to pick up book 3 :)

This sadly just didn’t really work for me. I absolutely loved the Addicted/Calloway series so was so excited to find out the authors were coming out with something new. I liked the first book and was excited to see where the story goes but just couldn’t get into this book. The writing felt a bit jumpy at times making it a little hard to follow. The relationship seems so similar to Lily and Lo just in a different font which I love them but wanted something that felt original. I’m so sad that I didn’t end up loving this one but hope others fall in love with it!

Following the events of Dishonestly Yours, Phoebe Graves finds herself stuck fake dating town royalty Jake Waterford to cover up the fact that she is dating her longtime crush turned boyfriend Rocky Tinrock. Phoebe and Rocky are finally ready to be together honestly, but with the unexpected arrival of their moms in town playing matchmakers, Phoebe is forced to keep up the guise with Jake just a little longer. The Graves’s and Tinrock’s siblings are desperate to uncover answers to some pressing questions, but with their parents unwilling to cooperate, Phoebe, Hailey, and their brothers may have to fall back into dishonest work in order to finally live honestly…or so they hope.
After the MASSIVE cliffhanger that Dishonestly Yours ended on, I was absolutely DESPERATE to get my hands on Destructively Mine! This book was such a wild ride and had me on the edge of my seat from the very first page. This is the 29th book I’ve read from Krista and Becca Ritchie, and I can say with certainty it was the most wild and action packed book I’ve read by them to date!
Finally seeing Phoebe and Rocky love each other honestly after so many years spent pinning and resisting the pull they both felt towards each other was oh so satisfying! We spent so much of Dishonestly Yours waiting for Phoebe and Rocky’s resolve to finally break, and the payoff in Destructively Mine was absolutely EXPLOSIVE! The push and pull between these two is so intense, and their chemistry is positively electric!! It was as if I could feel the heat coming from the pages whenever Phoebe and Rocky were together. If you had any doubts about whether these two were soulmates, this book leaves no room for questioning! Watching as the two of them fell more and more in love and allowed each other to see deeper and more vulnerable parts of themselves that they keep hidden away from everyone else was so beautiful.
We see so much more of the side characters in this book and oh my goodness how I love all of them!! Every single character is so intentional and plays such important roles in the book. We see so much more of Oliver and Nova Graves, along with Trevor Tinrock in Destructively Mine. We spent the majority of Dishonestly Yours learning about these brothers through flashback scenes, so seeing them on page during our present timeline allowed for us to learn even more about them. Jake Waterford also plays a much larger role in this book, and watching as he finds his place amongst the Tinrock’s and Graves’s was so interesting to read about. I definitely have a lot more respect for him after this book. Hailey continues to be an absolute badass, but we do see a much more vulnerable side to her. Hailey really does go through a LOT throughout the course of the book. I am really hoping that she gets some much deserved peace and happiness in the next book. There is also a certain love triangle that is introduced in this book that I am DEEPLY invested in. I am desperate for more page time with these three!!!
Ultimately, I am leaving Destructively Mine even more in love with these characters than I was before I started which I didn’t think was possible! The cons, the mystery, the romance, the suspense was all absolutely phenomenal!! This book was nearly impossible to put down. SO MUCH goes down in this book - Krista and Becca truly utilized every single page. There is so much more I wish I could talk about, but just know it was the PERFECT follow up to Dishonesty Yours! I can’t believe that Dangerously Ours is going to be the last book in this series, but I am so excited (and nervous) to see how this story is going to wrap up!
Thank You SO MUCH to Berkley and Netgalley for this ARC!!

I am completely and utterly obsessed with these characters in every possible way. Typically you get attached to the main characters of a book and of course I am, but what makes Krista and Becca Ritchie’s writing so special is their side characters. I love all of them like they’re family and I adore how they all have dark secrets and live their own tangled web lives.
This series as a whole has completely sucked me in and I find myself hanging on every word. The storyline is like nothing I have ever read before and I really appreciate the creativity it took to sculpt this story and have all the secrets line up.
I can not wait to see where we go in the future with this series and I will be dying for the next book!
I was so beyond honored to receive an arc for this book and these opinions are my own.

I WISH I could tell you all the things but I refuse cuz I want you to fall of these messy families as much as I have. All I will say is that in Destructively Yours, the secrets are bigger, the romance is hotter, the family ties are tighter, the rich people are more obnoxious (if you can believe it lol). Ugh. It’s so good. I’m sad that I’ll have to wait so long to get more answers.
Like I said, these characters weasel their way into your heart. I finished this book a week ago and still today I’m asking myself questions and trying to plot things out 🤣
Forever forehead kisses to both @berkleypub and @netgalley for letting me enjoy this one a little early. I cannot wait to grab a physical copy and annotate all my thoughts !
Gosh I love books about con artists LOL idk what that says about me idc 🤣

I was really hoping to love this one, but it didn’t fully click for me. While the cons and twists kept things interesting, the pacing felt uneven, too much filler early on and a rush of reveals at the end. Some twists landed, others felt predictable, and the romance leaned so heavily into the physical that it lacked emotional depth. That said, the group dynamics were a highlight, and I’m still invested enough to continue the series, just with lower expectations.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Berkley for the chance to read Destructively Mine as an ARC! I enjoyed reading the first book and was looking forward to seeing where the second installment in this series would go- I'm happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised and consistently engaged the whole way through.
KBR have always managed to throw in just the right amount of plot twists that are both: a) unique enough that I can never guess them and b) believable enough that I don't get annoyed (if that makes sense). This series has so far been reliably entertaining and has certainly kept me on my toes as far as wondering what happens next. I appreciated a deeper dive into our characters and their respective attachments to one another; if there's one thing to count on in a KBR series, its found family- and this series is no exception.
I'm giving Destructively Mine 4 stars (initially I thought 3.5, but I'm in a bit of a slump, to no fault of this book) and will likely be picking up book 3 when it's announced. Destructively Mine has a pub date of April 29th- keep an eye out for it!

Destructively Mine picks up right where Dishonestly Yours leaves off, so make sure you read them in order, they are not stand alone books! This book dives deeper into Phoebe and Rocky’s passionate, yet complicated relationship, which I was really wanting after meeting them in the first book. Their love is built on years of secrets and carefully controlled plans, but when things start to get crazy, so does their relationship! The tension between them is SPICY, and the emotions are felt all around.
What makes this book stand out, though, is the the work that the authors put into the supporting characters. The found family aspect is really well done and beautiful, with each character adding to the story. Even though there are quite a few of them, the Ritchies manage to make each one memorable and important to the plot, which kept me fully invested in everyone’s journey.
The dual POVs give us an inside look into both Phoebe and Rocky’s minds, I am such a SUCKER for dual POV. I also appreciated the way the plot gradually unfolds, revealing more about their pasts and they have to navigate that to protect their relationship. While the heist aspect didn’t feel as intense as I expected, the romance part of the story kept me going.
If you're a fan of romance books that have suspense to them, then this series will be a hit for you!

unfortunately did not work for me. i got to 32% and was struggling to keep myself engaged. nothing was really happening and it just felt like too much back and forth about the parents now finding them. i was already on the fence with book 1 but was hoping this would turn it around for me and it did not. really sad this didn't work for me!

First, thank you NetGalley & Berkeley for this ARC!
I want to preface with that I really enjoyed the first book, and was excited for this one. But oh boy… how disappointing it was.. 😭
Don’t get me wrong, I like seeing Phoebe & Rocky together, but the storyline??? Like why is the storyline the subplot??? I mean, you agreed to do a con. I would love to read more about the actual con & how they performed the con. But all you get were snippets, then near the end, you get this little scene. No development up until that point.
I feel extremely bad for Jake. Like I said, I like seeing Phoebe & Rocky together, but poor Jakey-boy was third wheeling HARD. I would not want to be near them. It even made me uncomfortable… ☹️
Also, the time jumping was so awkward in this book. You get the past, and then all of sudden 3 months passed????? Huh???
The whole godparents situation was so underwhelming🙃
It just felt like a drag the whole time reading this, tbh…

Thanks to @berkleypub and @berkleyromance for the free published copies and e-ARCs and to @prhaudio for the review copy of this audiobook!
These books are not stand alones. You need book one to understand book two. Since it’s really all one story, I’m just reviewing them together.
I’m a huge fan of the Oceans movies. Conmen who infiltrate the world of the uber wealthy just capture my imagination. But what if those conmen and women had been trained to grift since birth? What if they were family and friends working together. This is the world of Webs We Weave. Book one came out last year. Book two comes out next month. And I’m already impatiently waiting for book three!
Rocky and Phoebe have one of the most passionate relationships I’ve read in a long time. they live with so much control to accomplish their cons. But when that control snaps? Whew. Hot, hot, hot. I loved how their history is told in flashbacks. And the dual POV gives so much depth to the story.
I loved getting to know their siblings as well. The characters were all so unique. Even though it was a huge cast of characters, I never had a hard time keeping them straight.
As the plot unfolds and the characters learn more about their history and redefine their purpose, things get more complicated and the stakes get higher.
I appreciated the dual narration. The two narrators brought all the characters to life well.
I can’t wait for book three. I need to know how this story ends!

This took me a bit to get into as the beginning was a bit slow and I was trying to remember where it left off since I read Dishonestly Yours last July. I was interested in seeing what would happen not only between Rocky and Phoebe but also their cons.
The book is in Rocky and Phoebe’s pov which I liked. Kind of also wish we got a side characters pov. Maybe Hailey’s?? I wanted to see a bit more romance. At times it felt more like lust, but you can tell how protective and caring they are for one another. Also, I liked that we got more glimpses of the side characters and learn a bit more about them.
Love the found family in this series. That’s probably one of my favorite things about it. I also thought the twists and mystery in this were really interesting. Honestly did not see some of the twists coming. Not sure how i feel about the ending, but I’m curious to see how the next book in the series will be!
Thank you Berkley and Netgalley for the arc.

“There will never be a day, a night, a minute, a moment, a breath where you aren’t destructively mine. And I hope it fucking terrifies you.”
I love those characters. Love the whole family dynamics. Love the con artists plot line. I love Phoebe and Rocky’s chemistry, it’s just so explosive. I’m so excited for the next book and definitely excited to read more about Hailey. I’m so invested in this series.
Huge Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for providing this copy.

I went into 'Destructively Mine' with high hopes, especially after thoroughly enjoying the first book in the series. The concept of a romance featuring former con artists felt refreshingly unique, and I was eager to dive deeper into that world. Unfortunately, while the book delivered on the promised cons, it ultimately fell short of my expectations.
My primary issue stemmed from the pacing and the overall feeling that, despite a flurry of events, the story lacked substantial forward momentum. It felt like a 500+ page book where a lot happened, yet nothing truly progressed until the very end. The initial chapters were slow, and while I eventually became invested in the plot and its twists, a significant portion of the book felt like filler. The action was heavily concentrated in the final chapters, leaving the middle feeling somewhat stagnant.
Despite these criticisms, I did appreciate the core plot, the unexpected twists, the characters themselves, and the spice. However, there was a fundamental disconnect in the storytelling, specifically the writing style. It felt as though the narrative wasn't fully fleshed out, lacking a certain clarity. I found myself rereading lines repeatedly, struggling to decipher the intended meaning or the reason behind specific phrasing. It was as if the actual words on the page were hindering my ability to connect with the story.
This is particularly disappointing because, on paper, 'Destructively Mine' possesses all the elements I typically enjoy. The characters were compelling, the plot intriguing, and the romantic elements satisfying. However, the disconnect in the writing prevented me from fully immersing myself in the story. It's a shame, because I genuinely wanted to love this book, but something essential was missing.
