Destructively Mine
by Krista Ritchie; Becca Ritchie

Very grateful to the publisher @berkleyromance and @acebooks for my #gifted copy through @netgalley , opinions are my own
Destructively Mine was such a fun and addictive read! While it didn’t hit me quite as hard as Dishonestly Yours, I still loved being back with Phoebe, Rocky, and the whole gang. The found family vibes, loyalty, and scheming were everything I hoped for. Phoebe and Rocky’s chemistry was incredible—so much spice and heart between them! I also really enjoyed getting more insight into the other characters, especially Oliver and Hailey. Some of the pacing felt a little off, with time jumps and flashbacks that made it slightly harder to follow, but it didn’t ruin the experience for me. There were so many twists and surprises, and the ending left me eager for the next book. I loved how even when the romance took center stage, the friendships stayed just as important. If you love drama, found family, and romance, you’ll definitely want to pick this series up!

i really try not to dnf arcs but I just couldn’t care less about anything going on. Phoebe and Rocky just have sex non stop and that’s not adding to their already nonexistent chemistry. the plot itself is getting on my nerves too. these authors are just not for me honestly.

book 1 was easy to read and i think bc i was sleep deprived it didn't take any energy to enjoy it but this was completely different. this felt like a filler book with a smidge of actual plot. everything i felt about rocky and phoebe was completely gone, i could have cared less about them. trent is literally scott van wright but frat version, i think this series is going to be dragged out and compares nothing to the addicted series!!! we kept going in circles and why was the smut always 10 pages long ( please do better!!!

♡Back and Better♡

Pheobe's back, and I'm obsessed! In my opinion, this one flowed so much better than the first book! The story picks up where Dishonestly Yours left us off at and jumped right into the backstories and the action!

The characters and the drama that came to play were so intriguing, I couldn't stop reading to save my life 🤣🤣🙌 I love these author's writing, and this series has been so good! Bonus points for this is the spice🫣🔥🔥 It was super steamy👏👏

So excited to be back in the “Webs We Weave” world! The plot & found family really carries this series, and who knew Jake would be the one to grow most in this one???
My main reason for my rating is the *spicy* seasons felt too frequent and unneeded for the progressing of their relationship.
Additionally, although Rocky & Phoebe are our narrators—I’d really like to connect more with Nova, Trevor, Hailey, and Oliver. I think we definitely made some progress (especially with Hailey) in this one, but I think more is needed to really flourish the found family.

Oh how I loved returning to this little con artist found family <3

While this didn't hit the way the first one did, I also didn't expect it to. The first one was such a special reading experience and stands on its own enough that I knew if the rest of the series didn't live up to it, I would always have that first book. Of course, that doesn't mean this one wasn't still enjoyable.

I loved how much more we got from the other Tinrocks and Graves in this book, ESPECIALLY OLIVER MY BELOVED. And Hailey and Oliver? Oh I'm so interested please I need more of them. If there's a love triangle, I just want Hailstorm and Olly.

I loved how completely devoted these characters are to each other and how the events of this book brought them even closer, and I loved how they took Jake into their group, and getting to watch them all scheme. Especially loved seeing more of Hailey and Phoebe's friendship. The platonic love in this series is almost as central as the romantic love and that's so special to me <3

As for what I didn't love, the pacing in this one was a bit off and the plot felt more...scattered? We'd take large skips forward in time but then flashback to the time skipped, to where I wasn't sure why we didn't just see those flashbacks happen in normal time. It didn't ruin the reading experience, just made everything feel a bit off and harder to track.

This was one of those books where a lot was happening and nothing at the same time, and it dragged a bit in a way that the first one didn't. Also, the ending felt so abrupt I didn't realize it was ending until I flipped the page and it was the Acknowledgements. There was literally a chapter that had such a perfect ending line that I thought the book was over and I wish it had ended there because it would have hit so much harder, but then there were several more and then it just ended randomly. It's, again, not enough to ruin the reading experience, but I felt like they missed an opportunity to more effectively end the story.

K&B's books also tend to be a lot on the spicier side, but as someone who skips spice scenes, I can appreciate how they still build the emotional and romantic connections between characters. While I definitely still buy into Phoebe and Rocky's romantic connection and thought we got some great moments between them, the focus was more heavily weighted on the physical connection side and on giving them spicy scenes, which isn't my personal preference. Still love them though. My childhood-partners-in-crime-completely-intertwined-friends-doesn't-even-begin-to-cover-what-they-are to lovers duo.

This may not have been as strong as the first one, but we still got a return to the found family, the unpacking of family trauma, the scheming and criminal activity, and the ride-or-die love between the friends and PhoebeRocky from the first book. HIGHLY recommend picking up this series if any of that sounds like your cup of tea.

Since Dishonestly Yours was one of my favorite reads last year, I'm so beyond grateful to Berkeley for this arc!

Thank you Krista Ritchie, Becca Ritchie & NetGalley for sending me an e-arc for Destructively Mine. I did not think this book could get any better but I was wrong! This book absolutely blew me away! I could not stop reading! It was so thrilling, so incredibly fun to read!! I loved how the book had the same essence as book one. The whole gang bonded even more through all the traumatic events that took place. Rocky and Phoebe’s tension was so good! I loved reading their banter and seeing how playful they are with one another and how well they understand each other. And their smut always eats!!! I’m so happy that Rocky and Phoebe are together in this book and how each of their povs shows how much they care for one another. They are both so obsessed with one another it’s hard to not love them while reading. There’re love is very angsty and very consuming. I do wish we got more intimate moments with the two. There was a lot of good smut but I wish we had some, one on one with these characters. I also feel like a lot of the other characters were highlighted more than Rocky and Phoebe. I wish we got more of them in the book. I did like the dynamic of the whole group. We really got to learn more about everyone’s role and how Jake is now apart of the group. The possible love triangle between Jake, Oliver and Hailey is an interesting one that I’m not sure I’m on board with but it does make the whole story a lot more interesting. The plot line for this book genuinely kept getting better and better. My jaw was on the floor the more I read. I was so invested while reading. I loved all the plot twists that kept on happening. I was not expecting the cliffhanger at the end and I’m in desperate need for book three!!

God this book is so messy and I absolutely LOVE IT!! Who doesn’t love to read about people conning rich turds out of money and also a really beautiful found family/love story. I love the different dynamics and situations going on with each character in the background as well as the main characters. The end had me angry, and that’s how you know it was a good cliffy. I can’t wait for the third book!

It was so much fun to be back with Phoebe and Rocky and the whole gang! This is seriously just such a cool concept that Krista and Becca Ritchie have put together and I am loving it.

I don't want to say too much that could be spoilers, but this picked up right where we left off in Dishonestly Yours and we got right into the drama and the twists! There was honestly just so much that happened in this book. It kept me on my toes and I never wanted to stop listening. Some things I was not expecting at all and we got some revelations but also new questions. Not just with Phoebe & Rocky, but their whole little fam, and Jake, too!

And the chemistry between Phoebe and Rocky!! Like dang. This was so much spicier than book one and I was here for it! They are truly just so solid together and I love that about Krista and Becca Ritchie's writing. Like yes, circumstances can keep couples apart and they also will have things to work through. But they do a great job at giving us great plot and found family dynamics to keep us interested, even when the couples are together.

I loved the flashbacks to previous cons, learning more about all the siblings, getting more insight into some new and side characters, the hunt was so fun!! I do think there was something about book 1 that I liked maybe a little more....maybe the angsty buildup of their relationship?!? Not sure. But I still had the best time and I am so so excited to see where book three takes us and how this all ends!

Thank you so much to the authors, Berkeley, and Penguin Random House Audio for the ALC!

Webs We Weave Book 2

Krista and Becca Ritchie truly never miss! I'm absolutely obsessed with all their books.

Destructively Mine picks up right where Dishonestly Yours leaves off. This installment dives deep into Phoebe and Rocky's perspectives, exploring their backstory and the intricate dynamics within the Tinrock and Graves families. Alternating between past and present, the story reveals how these two families have lived their lives running cons.

The plot continues with Phoebe and Jake's fake relationship, unraveling the mystery behind Hailey and Phoebe's mothers—why they've come to town, what they're scheming, and the secrets surrounding their identities. Yes, DNA results are revealed! While the twists and turns are captivating, the highlight is the fierce, unconditional "I'll destroy the world for you" kind of love. Readers also get a deeper glimpse into the personal lives of Hailey, Phoebe, and their brothers, peeling back the layers of who everyone truly is.
The relationships, especially between Jake and Rocky, are another standout element. This book is a masterful blend of mystery, love, friendship, and adventure that left me fully invested and absolutely in love with every character in the series.

Destructively Mine delivers all the answers we were craving from the first book, leaving nothing unresolved. That said, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a book three—I need more on Hailey! If you know, you know. 🫠❤️

P.S. The Addicted/Calloway Sisters references, like The Faust Academy and Fizz, were the cherry on top! 🥰

🎧 Narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Carly Robins and produced by Penguin Audio, this audiobook captures the characters’ feelings and emotions with remarkable depth. The production is nothing short of exceptional—truly perfect!

This was an incredible second installment—I’m completely obsessed with the family dynamics and the plot! Just like the first book, it was insanely binge-able. I devoured it and didn’t want it to end.

Phoebe and Rocky are absolute perfection. Their chemistry, their intensity, their obsession with each other—it’s everything. I’ll never stop rooting for them.

And the side characters? I adore them just as much. I love that they’re all con artists (or were), and that every single one of them is morally gray—it makes the story feel so unique and unputdownable. From Rocky’s siblings to Phoebe’s, I genuinely love them all. No one in this series is truly “good,” and that only makes them more unforgettable.

I need Hailey’s POV. Desperately.
Book 3 can’t come fast enough. 🍓🕸️

OH MY FUCKING GOD.

I don't even know where to start with this book!! Absolutely wild. I could have never cooked up what ended up happening in this book. So many revelations.

Rocky and Phoebe are still top tier. I absolutely love them so much. I could not get enough of them together! Even though we got sooo many amazing scenes of them I still wanted more! I think they're quickly becoming one of my favorite KBR couples! This entire series is becoming a favorite.

The wild adventures this wild group of people take me on is insane. I was not bored for a single second of this read.

I can not wait to see what happens in the next book. I am seriously so upset that we have to wait for the next book again!! lol

he story is still told from Rocky and Phoebe’s point of view, and their chemistry is absolutely off the charts. I'm really hoping the next book focuses on Hailey and the love triangle that emerged in this one—it definitely has me intrigued.

My only minor complaint is that it felt a bit long; I tend to prefer slightly shorter reads. That said, the plot picks up right where the last book left off, following the con-artist family as they try to start fresh—though leaving that life behind proves harder than expected. There are plenty of new twists and turns, and the ending left me genuinely excited for what’s next!

I also really enjoyed the love triangle Hailey finds herself in. I’m actually rooting for both love interests, so I’m curious to see how that plays out.

This book had SO MUCH going on in it, but yet it felt easy to read. I really enjoyed the story within the pages, how we get snippets of each character and really build up the underlying backstory that's long been hidden from Rocky, Phoebe, and their whole crew. This book has a full fledged cast of characters that gives it all the fullness I'd expect from these authors.

Rocky really steps up in this book and becomes the protector and leader that this crew needs. His love for Phoebe, his desire to protector her and his sister, and his drive to find out the truth of their history really help build this story up. Rocky and Phoebe together were my favorite part of this story. I wanted to gobble up every little scene that they had together.

Phoebe continued to surprise with me with the strength she carried. Growing up in the family she had, living the life of a con artist from her earliest years, she's sly and cunning in ways I could appreciate in a heroine. I love that through all the drama, she carried true love and devotion for those closest to her.

The first half of the book was a little slow to start for me. There are tons of details that get explored, and I felt like I need it to move a little faster. But that second half? It delivered on the mystery of their situation and added more dimension. I loved it. I'm excited to see where book 3 takes us and to find out how many more secrets get uncovered!

Wow! This book was amazing! I was obsessed with Dishonestly Yours and couldn’t wait for Destructively Mine and it did not disappoint. The stakes felt higher in this book and I just connected so deeply to the characters. I love Phoebe and Rocky’s love story and can’t wait to see where they end up in the next one. All of the siblings shined in this book as well. So many questions were answered and truths were uncovered that I did not see coming. This is a book you will not be able to put down! I highly recommend it. Thank you to Valentine PR and Krista & Becca Ritchie for the ARC copy.

Wild & Spicy- two words I would use to describe the second novel in the "Webs We Weave" series. Readers are put right back at the country club, picking up where Dishonestly Yours (book one) left off. There were just enough "lol" or "omg" moments that captured my attention to keep reading however; I do feel as if my interest waned throughout reading because there wasn't enough parent action. I was so READY to get more of them, especially with that cliffhanger but I had until the last half to really be invested with that information. Love the spice, love the characters. But I do think the length could be shorter with some scenes either cut or shortened.

I was not expecting to love this as much as i did! this was such a great read, i can't think of one moment where i was bored. once i got to the last quarter of the book, i was on the edge of my seat & could not put down this book!

we pick up right where the first book left off! i really felt like the other sibling's personalities shined through, and they felt a lot more important to the storyline than in the first book. I'm loving the con and drama that this small coastal town has to offer & after that cliffhanger....... I'm gonna need book 3 immediately.

i am curious to know how if this series will only be 3 books, and if we will get some of hailey's pov since i see her storyline becoming a huge part of the series!

thank you to valentine pr for the arc! all opinions are my own. <3

3.5 ⭐️

Destructively Mine picks up right where Dishonestly Yours left off, continuing the chaotic, twist-filled ride of Rocky and Phoebe’s fiery romance and diving deeper into the tangled web of con artistry that hooked us in book one. The plot thickens as we get more insight into the family dynamics, with side characters like Hailey, Oliver, Nova, Jake, and Trevor stealing the spotlight at times—and honestly? They were some of the best parts of the book.

That said, this sequel felt like a mixed bag. While the story is undeniably addictive and full of twists, it often felt like too much was happening at once. The pacing was uneven, with a slow build heavy on filler chapters and an action-packed final quarter that didn’t leave much room to breathe between plot twists. Some of those shocks landed, while others felt predictable or underwhelming. And that ending? It’s giving why did they do this to us?!

As for Rocky and Phoebe—their relationship remains intense, but its hyper-sexual focus left little space for emotional depth or growth. The constant steam started to feel repetitive, especially when more meaningful, vulnerable moments could have added richness to their dynamic. Unfortunately, despite being our POV characters, they didn’t feel as compelling as the rest of the cast. A few additional perspectives might’ve added the complexity this book needed.

Still, the sibling dynamics and found family vibes were strong and heartwarming. You can tell the characters would walk through fire for each other, which adds a needed emotional anchor to the chaos. The Ritchie sisters clearly have something unique going here, but this installment felt like it got a little lost trying to do too much. Here’s hoping the next book tightens things up—because I’m absolutely here for Hailey’s story and whatever cons come next.

* Thank you to Valentine PR for the ARC in exchange for an honest review
