krista & becca ritchie have done it again!! the webs we weave series introduced me to a plot i’ve never read about before and i’ve been thoroughly enjoying the story and characters.
destructively mine picks up right where we left off with dishonestly yours. this one was even more gripping than book one if i’m honest. there were so many twists, turns, and jaw-dropping reveals that i did not see coming!!
we see knew character dynamics forming in destructively mine which i loved. characters i wasn’t sure how i felt about are now some i really love, some have really interesting things going on in the background that i’d love to see more of. at first i was worried if jake would become ✨more✨ with phoebe but that took a surprising turn that i am desperate to get see a separate book on😮💨
as for phoebe and rocky’s relationship, i love them together. it’s such a tension filled, angsty romance and you can just tell they’re in love with each other. there were so many quotes i highlighted that explained their love for each other so well. i did feel like their relationship was a lot more sexual in this one, i would’ve liked to see more intimacy between them without it always ending up physical. i quickly began to feel like every sweet scene between these two either started or ended with sex and sometimes it was too much.
i loved going through a con with these characters in this one. we got to read about quite a few of their past ones but actually being apart of one and seeing it happen in the present with the planning and stuff was so much fun to read about.
the ending was A LOT. my emotions were everywhere, krista & becca ritchie just kept hitting us with shot after shot😭 i truly don’t know how i feel. i was lowkey annoyed and confused as to why that person thought that was the best idea. i’m definitely tuning in for the next book because i need to know what’s going to happen next, what’s the fallout going to be and what the hell [redacted] is going to do about [redacted]😂
thank you to Valentine PR and the authors for an ARC of destructively mine!

What happens when con artists decide to search for a normal life?
This was such a good second book in this series! This series is set at such a faster pace than K&Bs other series and they have done a really good job with it! It’s fun and though there are heavy and sad things, it feels pretty light. The twists, turns, and reveals this book has are fun and the growth you see in the characters is also so fun to see!! The characters are complex and unique, but the ways their stories connect is so fun!

(4.5 Stars) Thank you, Berkley Romance and @prhaudio for the gifted print and listening copies!
Picking up immediately after the shocking and dramatic conclusion to Dishonestly Yours, Phoebe and Hailey are still trying to go straight after a lifetime as part of grifting families but their brothers have followed them to town, Phoebe is fake dating the son of the richest family in town while secretly dating Hailey’s brother Rockey. Then their untrustworthy, conniving mothers roll into town. And everyone is keeping secrets, some so explosive, they threaten to rip their families apart.
Dishonestly Yours was a surprise favorite of 2024 for me, and Destructively Mine more than delivered on the promise of a wild, twisty, emotional sequel. These six grifter siblings from two close-knit families have a chaotic bond that is pure magic on the page - sharp, funny, and endlessly endearing. The twists come fast, and just when you think you’ve caught your breath, another revelation drops. I flew through it. This series is the perfect blend of found family, forbidden love, and small-town scheming - wrapped in a dangerously addictive conniving package. Krista and Becca Ritchie are absolutely on fire.
🎧 Audiobook Thoughts 🎧 Aaron Shedlock and Carly Robins are back as Rocky and Phoebe in this audiobook and they are just as diabolically perfect as they were in book one. They are SO GOOD and also have a heavy lift of giving personality to six siblings, three parents and a cast of small town characters. They are just great.

I’m officially addicted to this series. I flew through this one and enjoyed it even more than the first. The stakes are higher and the secrets are juicier. I absolutely loved seeing Rocky and Phoebe together for real (even if she is still fake dating Jake). They’re the hottest couple. I also loved Jake’s involvement with our fave dysfunctional family and his budding friendship with Rocky was everything.
The twists in this series just keep getting crazier! The godmothers are back in town and everything they've been hiding is starting to come out. The con to literally end all cons is put in motion. Shady characters are coming out of the woodwork. Love triangles are forming. Cliffhangers are cliffhangering. When does the next one come out??
Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I am SO OBSESSED with this series so far 🫠 I was so lucky to receive an arc of the second book destructively mine from the Webs We Weave series and y’all- I feel so much harder for Rocky 😍
I thoroughly enjoyed this book- it kept me engaged and kept me up reading late.
I truly am in love with this group of characters- Krista and Becca are truly amazing at creating characters you can’t help but love (except for some who won’t be named 😅)
I definitely recommend this series if you want something engaging, with some mystery, and some amazing romance 🥰
Can’t wait for the next one!!

This group and family dynamic between these characters is so fun. They have a strong bond with everything they have been through and they can always count on each other to be there for them. I loved being back in this world and getting lots more of Phoebe and Rocky! There was so many twists and turns and this book, I never knew what to expect next. I enjoy the flashbacks of previous cons because it not only helps you understand Phoebe and Rocky’s dynamic but everyone else’s too! Their story definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. Phoebe and Rocky explore so much more of their relationship in this book and I loved it. They are soulmates and they deserve that happily ever after. It’s always been them against the world. We learn so much more in this story that just leads to more questions and I’m invested, I need book 3! Jake becomes a major part of this story and I loved the way he fits right in with them! Trust and friendship has built with them all and he is a great addition to their group. I really love how Krista and Becca have wrote this series, all the captivating aspects to it that keep you hooked and wanting more!

I really wanted to love this one but I couldn’t get into it. I loved the first book when I read it last year but it just wasn’t hitting for me this time around. I feel like it was about 100 pages too long.
It was really fun heading back into Phoebe and Rocky’s world again and there were elements I did enjoy but overall this one wasn’t for me.

this series has me SO seated, I NEED BOOK THREE RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!! 💚🩷💚🩷
this book was filled with so many twists and turns, complicated family dynamics and so much drama! I enjoyed seeing how their roles played out during a con, I think it really tugs at your heartstrings to see them have to act out their roles when they just want to be out of that world.
The romance between Phoebe and Rocky definitely takes a backseat in this book. I think that we get to see them connect. I MEAN, their tension??? the chemistry??? the smut???? SEATED!!!!! I love that about them. I love how much they communicate and how safe they feel with one another. But seeing as they are the main characters, I really would’ve loved to see a bit more internal conflict or conflict between the two. While I love them, I didn’t really grasp on to that because I didn’t see them grow throughout the book vs. the first book where they grew so much and finally got together! I kind of just wish that the book focused on the plot through their eyes because there was so much focus on the side characters (which I love them as wellllll!!!!!!!), so if you’re a character-driven girly, go into this knowing it’s a lot more plot-driven but still so so so good!
I genuinely cannot wait for the last book in this trilogy. There were so many questions answered in this book but SO MANY NEW ONES THAT POPPED UP!!! I can’t say much without spoiling but I am excited to see the direction KBR takes the next part of the story and seeing my found family find and establish their forever home 🥹

This series is ultimately extremely addicting. While this wasn't my fave, I am soo ready to see where this series goes!

We are so back, the twins have being my favourite author for a few years now so no one is surprised that i’m obsessed with phoebe, rocky and the whole family. So happy to be back in Victoria, I missed these characters, and was on my toes after book 1. we have more character depth, especially Hailey and the plot thickens (which I love !)
We got to see more of their parents and a few flashbacks chapters. on a mcs level we got to see them be together and domestic, sometimes I feel like they only were physical without any romantic feelings, but overall I still appreciate them very much.
This book really made me fall in love with hails character, she deserves the world, seeing how fragile her mental health was extremely sad (she might be my favorite in the series). I also have a new husband and his name is Oliver graves. He was the best to hails and such a good brother to Phoebe but also to everyone else.
I want to see more of rocky’s relationship with nova, and what the actual fuck is wrong with Trevor hahah I was dying every time he had lines in the book. The huge cliffhanger at the end I did not see it coming at all but it did felt rushed a bit.

I want to just stand up and applaud. Every time I get to the end of a KBR book and turn the page and it says ‘acknowledgments’ I’m always like “NOOO MORE!” But that’s just how great Krista and Becca are. I am truly in AWE. Edge of my seat drama and fun! And the banter omg Rocky and Phoebe are everything to me. Literally an hour standing ovation in my room for this book!
I have no idea where this series is going next and I cannot wait to be back in Victoria and the crew to see what kind of con they get themselves into next.
Thank you to Valentine PR, Berkley, and Krista and Becca for the ARC.

The push pull in this one ugh!
Okay so we have the same back and forth in time from
Book one but more about the cons and adding to character development. I did not read the addicted series but I heard this is becoming similar to that one.
Look they are addicting and I can’t but them down and I don’t know why. The covers do something to me.
The moms coming to town added a lot of drama
And excitement and you do get the answers you’re looking for…while finding new questions.
This really expanded the series and learned about the siblings even more. Who is related to who for real?
I love Phoebe and Rocky 😍

*Takes a deep breath* THIS WAS THE BEST BOOK OF 2025 SO FAR!!! I would even go as far as to say, it will easily be a top 3 read of 2025 for me (and I am highly anticipating a lot of books this year). Wow wow wow. OK where to start. First of all, I am obsessed with every character. Krista and Becca Ritchie are one of my top authors for many reasons, but one being they craft such a detailed world that I love every character in their books, not just the MCs (and don’t get me wrong, I am absolutely OBSESSED with Rocky and Phoebe). The depth of their love for each other is so felt through the page, it’s hard not to love these characters. Next, the twists and turns. OH.MY.GOODNESS. I was never bored, I was constantly buried in this book, and I consider myself pretty good at predicting what’s going to happen in a book, but some of these things I did NOT anticipate (though I did guess a pretty big one which blew me away!). Lastly, the little references to the Addicted world made me smile every time and want to dive back into those books too. I mean, seriously, the thought and planning that goes into building these worlds and cons is inspirational. I feel like I’m on a roller coaster ride I never want to get off. This is going to be a hard one to wait for the next book. Nothing but amazing words to say and the urge for everyone to read it too!

I am going insane. Nobody can encapsulate platonic and familial love like Krista and Becca. “Wherever he’s going, I’m there”
This was a FANTASTIC continuation following dishonesty yours which I absolutely devoured last year 🩷 These characters got even more complex and the found family grew even closer. Specifically the last 50% was such a whirlwind I was flying through the pages.
Rocky is so in love with Phoebe, I love love loved getting to read from his POV and feeling his adoration and pure love he has for Phoebe. Even from so early on it was a no brainer that he wasn’t going to give up until he could openly express his feelings for the love of his life. “I’m so in love with her. I can’t control it. I just feel it growing, intensifying, devastating me. And I hope it obliterates me. Every single day of my life.”
Every single character is so strong and supportive within the group. They’ve all come so far since the beginning of their stories and I cannot wait to see them continue. So many important and relevant topics were seamlessly discussed throughout the pages and I feel like so many readers will feel a comfort with this little family they created.
Thank you so so much Valentine PR and Krista & Becca for allowing me to read this BEAUTIFUL STORY and trusting me with your work xxx

The ladies brought the heat in this one 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love this family gang and this book was filled with more angst and scheming, but also took us on a new path that I am excited to read about in the next book!
Krista and Becca definitely know how to keep you on the edge of your seat and guessing what will happen next, and I’m so here for it!

Destructively Mine picked up exactly where Dishonestly Yours ended, following the family of con artists that that are trying to start over - key word TRYING.
I was on the edge of my seat for an entire YEAR since finishing the cliffhanger of book one. I was relieved that we got all the answers we were looking for from book one and more! This book came in hot with all of the twists, giving me whiplash, but also came in hot with the spice! I was so much more invested in Rocky and Phoebe’s relationship in this book, partly because of the spicyyyy scenes. Who doesn’t love the danger of being caught?! We also got a deeper dive into all of the other siblings, which is what really kept me engaged. I loved reading/listening to the back and forth between the six siblings and seeing them all work together on a con in present day.

4.25 ⭐️
okay, so destructively mine was honestly such a wild ride and i’m still processing everything that went down. i’m giving it a solid 4.25 stars because while i loved being back with phoebe, rocky, and the whole gang, there were definitely a few things that didn’t hit quite as hard as the first book for me.
first off, the drama? the twists? the secrets? chef’s kiss. i loved how we got more insight into both the graves and tinrock families, especially all the messy history and the whole dna bombshell (like what?!). the way the story flips between past and present really added layers to their con artist lives, and honestly made me appreciate just how deep this world goes. it’s one of those books where everyone’s loyalty is tested, and you can feel how tight this found family is. the lengths they’d go for each other had me emotional.
phoebe and rocky are still THAT couple. the tension, the obsession, the way they just get each other—i ate it all up. their chemistry is electric, and while this one was spicier than the first, i kind of wish we had more quiet, intimate moments between them too. like, yeah the smut delivers, but give me those one-on-one emotional scenes that really hit, you know? still, i loved seeing rocky step up more as a leader and protector, not just for phoebe but for the whole crew. and phoebe? she’s such a badass. the way she balances her past life with trying to protect her future is everything.
what didn’t work for me as much was the pacing in the first half. it took me a bit to get fully into it, and some parts felt like a lot was happening but not really moving the story forward. plus, the flashbacks sometimes threw me off with the timeline. and the ending?? it felt a little abrupt, like i turned the page and was like “wait, that’s it?” but i’m not mad because i know book three is going to bring the heat.
also, i’m so here for the hailey and oliver tension. give me their povs asap. i’m really hoping we dive deeper into them next time because i’m lowkey obsessed. and trevor?? total wildcard. i don’t trust him but i want more.
overall, i loved being back with this chaotic, ride-or-die crew. krista and becca never fail to give us all the twists, angst, and found family vibes. while this wasn’t as tight as the first book for me, it still delivered so many moments that kept me hooked, and i’m dying to see how it all wraps up. bring on the secrets, bring on the drama, and give me more of this dysfunctional little family.

3.5 Stars I was so excited for the next installment of the Graves and Tinrocks’ story after the exciting ending of Dishonestly Yours and very happy to get an advanced copy from Berkley and Valentine PR!
Con artists and best friends Phoebe Graves and Hailey Tinrock always knew that their parents weren’t entirely truthful, but they couldn’t imagine that they’d ever lie about where their children came from. Phoebe and Hailey are trying to start a new, honest life in a wealthy Connecticut town, but it’s all threatening to come crumbling down. Phoebe is fake dating Jake Waterford, the third son of a wealthy and influential family, while she’s really dating and falling in love with Brayden “Rocky” Tinrock, Hailey’s older brother. And now Phoebe’s mother and Hailey’s parents have arrived in town, ready to unravel their plans. Phoebe will need to return to her old games to keep her new life.
While I enjoyed all of the revelations and con jobs in this one more than in Dishonestly Yours, it felt like there was less about Phoebe and Rocky’s relationship. Things between them didn’t change that much and we didn’t get much character development either. It both felt like a lot happened while nothing happened at the same time. I’m glad that we got a little bit of a conclusion with their con, but there’s still so much more to happen for Jake and for the Graves and Tinrocks.
All that being said, I did enjoy this one and all of the secrets that were revealed! I’m excited to read more about Hailey’s relationships in the next book and see how that unfolds. I also can’t wait to see what happens next with the triplet’s dad.
Thank you Valentine PR and Berkley for the ARC! Dishonestly Yours releases April 29th!

The lies and deceit! I was on the edge of my seat for this book waiting for the kids to get answers from their parents. I feel like so much is explained but also gave way to so many more questions and I can’t wait for the next book

3.5 stars! I really enjoyed this sequel!! It picks up pretty much right where book one leaves off and I appreciate that so much tbh. This book was filled with drama, betrayals, secrets, and twisty family dynamics. I wasn’t sure where anything could possibly be going the majority of the book so it kept me hooked. It was fast paced and the plot of this one was fun. I enjoyed all the side characters and their character/relationship growth with each other, and I loved the small town setting and the drama that added. The twists near the end definitely got me and I wish I had book 3 already!! I gave it 3.5 because at this point I’m not very invested in the romance, I don’t ~love~ Rocky (I’m sorry), and I feel like there were a lot of moments where not a lot was happening. I also still don’t feel completely connected to these characters or their story. I still enjoy these books and the story enough that I’ll be picking up the next book!! The ending caught me off guard. I said it about Dishonestly Yours but these books really feel like reality tv!! I can’t look away. Overall a decent book but something was missing for me!!
