What happens when two people meet that others are trying to set up with anyone? Daisy thinks she's in love with one man and Perry's so content in bachelor-hood that his own family is worried he won't get married. Life gets a bit crazy & funny as they explore being friends and denying the possibility of love. A sweet, enjoyable read.

The Marriage Pact by Kathleen Fuller is a delightful story that keeps you guessing from cover to cover.

Daisy Hershberger and Perry Bontrager Meet, and they have one thing in common. Both families feel it is time for them to marry. Daisy has chosen someone, but her family doesn’t agree with her choice, so Daisy and Perry into a pact to make it happen.
I really like Ferman Eash, the crusty old guy that works for Perry in his horseshoeing business. Love the way God uses unlikely people to bring across his will for our lives.
You will fall in love with the characters from the beginning, and the setting is perfect. The storyline is so realistic you immediately become part of the story.
Thank you HarperCollins Christian Publishing | Zondervan for allowing me to read this 5-star book. I received an e-ARC through NetGally, but was not required to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.

The Marriage Pact oozed charm as Daisy and Perry went from friends to romance. I think friends to romance is ideal in the Amish genre of fiction and I loved how it centered around the two taking care of cranky softie Ferman and how the older man helped council and guide the younger two. Yes, Daisy was a tad over the top in her naivete regarding Maynard, but her character growth was wonderful as she grew in knowledge and maturity. And she was just the perfect quirky compliment for Perry who was a bit quirky on his own. Perfect conclusion to a wonderful series by Fuller. Just a the sweetest romance to make you smile.

I read a couple Amish fiction novels a year and am pretty selective about it and this was a good one. I enjoyed Daisy with her caring heart and was surprised by some of Maynard's actions. Perry was interesting too with his love for butterflies and his introversion. Introverts aren't often the heroes in a story. It was refreshing.

I can't imagine living with the pressure of a meddling mother and 11 siblings who all want you to get married. It's no wonder Perry resorts to drastic measures. Still it's amusing. And when 70+ year old Ferman steps into a matchmaking role, it's even funnier. What a gruff romantic he is!

Thank you to Zondervan Fiction for providing me with a free e-copy of this book. I'd recommend it to those who enjoy Amish fiction. All opinions are my own.

I loved this book it was just so delightful. I loved Daisy, Perry and Ferman. It just made my heart feel full and glad. So many tropes are hit, is there a trope for family getting involved and shipping them off to another place? Loved it. It's found family, forced proximtry, friends to lovers, fake dating. Loved it all, didn't want it to end. This is part of a series which I haven't read so can be read as a standalone. But the others shall be added to my Tbr pile immediately!

Kathleen Fuller brings the giggles in this one! Daisy Hershberger is a joy, and Perry Bontrager is perfect for her but she can't see past her fixation on Maynard.

After a year of chasing after Maynard - inviting him for supper, baking treats for him, making sure she is anywhere he's going to be - Daisy Hershberger's parents have had enough. They know Daisy thinks she's "in love" and that Maynard loves her back, but shouldn't he show some interest? They devise a plan to send their daughter to help with her cousin Beth's wedding preparations. Never mind that the wedding is months away, and Beth and her parents are away on vacation, Daisy needs to go immediately.

Meeting Perry Bontrager upon her arrival, she realizes they have at least one thing in common: their mothers are eager to see them married to someone, anyone in Perry's case, and anyone but Maynard in Daisy's. As they work together to care for Perry's employee, Furman Eash, will they find they have even more in common than they thought?

I loved so many things about this story. First, I enjoyed reacquainting myself with the huge Bontrager clan! Fuller's Amish of Marigold series has been so fun to read. Second, Perry is such a great character. Were I Amish and a man, I would be him! I completely understood his need to get away from his large family's gatherings to find a spot of peace. I also loved that Daisy saw this, understood it, and encouraged him to pursue it. Third, I loved how Perry and Daisy connected over butterflies, the one thing he was most afraid for her to find out about him. Instead of thinking it a "childish hobby" like his last (and only) girlfriend had, Daisy is as fascinated as he is. Could she be "the one" and if she is, what should he do about Maynard?

Readers who love Amish fiction with a fun dose of humor will love the entire Amish of Marigold series, and in particular The Marriage Pact. I know I loved Perry and Daisy!

Kathleen Fuller has written a cute and sweet Amish romance that will go on my favorites shelf. The main characters in this book are Daisy Hershberger and Perry Bontrager. Daisy lives in Dover Delaware. She thinks she’s in love with Maynard but he’s about as romantic as a cold fish. Perry is the only single brother in a large family of boys and one sister. He’d like to stay single because he was hurt once before in a relationship and that was enough for him. Then Daisy comes to Ohio to help her cousin with wedding plans. She gets to meet Perry when she finds her Aunt and Uncle are not at home. Over a period of time they become friends or so they think they are friends. Daisy’s mind is so preoccupied with Maynard and Perry is so set in his bachelor life that they don’t notice they are falling in love with each other.
Of course it wouldn’t be an Amish romance if there wasn’t matchmakers involved. There are a few of them in this story and Daisy and Perry decide to have a fake relationship to throw the matchmakers off. Daisy and Perry may fool the matchmakers but they can’t deny that they enjoy spending time together.
I haven’t read a lot of books by this Author. She has won me over and I will definitely read more of her books in the future. I thought the characters were well developed and I enjoyed getting to know them. I have not read the other books in this series but I was able to keep up with the story. It was entertaining, romantic, unpredictable and a page turner. I was totally drawn into the story plot . This cute sweet Amish romance is a keeper.
I highly recommend The Marriage Pact to readers of Amish Fiction, Women’s Fiction and Romance Fiction. This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. It is scheduled for release on 5/6/25.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions expressed here in this review are solely my own.

This is a sweet story by Kathleen Fuller. "The Marriage Pact" is a story that centers around Daisy and Perry. Daisy thinks she is in love with Maynard even though he hasn't shown any interest in her being his girlfriend. When Daisy's mother sends her to help her cousin Grace with her wedding plans, she meets Perry, their neighbor. Daisy doesn't know that her mother and aunt are conspiring to get her away from Maynard and her infatuation with him. As time goes on, Daisy and Perry come together to take care of a friend who is having hip problems. Ferman moves in with Perry. Daisy stays during the day to help while Perry is at work. Daisy and Perry are attracted to each other but the thought of Maynard keeps them apart. Will Daisy realize she doesn't love Maynard? Will Perry reveal his true feelings to Daisy? You'll need to read this book and find out. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own. What a joy this read was, I loved it from beginning to end, and wanted more!
Sometimes the right one has to literally break into your home, and heart, and this story does just that!
This is the the third book in this series, but it can be read alone, but all are so good!
We meet Daisy from Dover, a young women whom is visiting her cousin, and Perry, a young man who's mother is trying to find a wife for.
These two have quite a journey on their hands to find the right match, and we are there as Daisy plays hard to get, and Perry hides his secrets!
I love the older man Fermen, and maybe there will be a few more Fermen's in the community?

Firstly, I received a complimentary copy of this book, but Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I enjoyed from the beginning of this book to the end, the doubt, the hurt, the love, the everything. Sometimes, we can be blind to what's in front of us running after fake or what we think we need, not knowing we don't need it or have any use of it.

Thank you, Kathleen Fuller, for this pack story. I enjoyed it.

Ohh thank you, NetGalley, for this complimentary copy, beautiful book 📖 ❤️ 💖.

This is my first Kathleen Fuller novel and I enjoyed this book. I didn't realize it was a Book 3 in a series until after I had finished it so it certainly works as a stand-alone novel too. The Marriage Pact tells the story of Perry, a single man in his 30s and the only single sibling of his huge Amish family, which means that his mother is trying very hard to help him find a wife. Facing the same pressure to marry from her Amish family is Daisy, who believes herself in love with a local man who is very standoffish. Daisy and Perry meet and decide to pretend to be interested in each other to get their mothers to back off from them. There is more to the story but no spoilers. I found all the characters likeable and the story made me want to keep reading to find out if the two would find love with each other or with others. Suffice it to say that this story gave me the happy ending that I love so much. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

All the books I've read by this author are beautifully written and filled with heartfelt stories. This book is the final installment in the Amish of Marigold series.
Daisy is convinced that Maynard is the lifelong partner God has intended for her. However, Maynard doesn't seem to share Daisy's certainty. Concerned for her well-being, Daisy's parents, who don't view Maynard in the same light as Daisy, arrange for her to visit her cousin in another state for an extended period.
At her cousin's house, Daisy meets Perry, her cousin's neighbor. Both share their stories: Daisy's frustrations with Maynard and Perry's situation, where his mother is constantly searching for a wife for him, as he is the only unmarried sibling among many. Perry, happy being single, believes that is his destiny.
Daisy and Perry form a pact to support each other. Perry advises Daisy to play "hard to get," while Daisy agrees to be his pretend girlfriend to appease Perry's mother. Their plan has its fair share of ups and downs, as one might expect.
This is a sweet, heartwarming story filled with lovable and memorable characters.

Daisy Hershberger and Perry Bontrager strike a deal to fend off their well-meaning but meddling families—she’ll help him avoid matchmaking efforts, and he’ll assist her in winning over the man she thinks is her perfect match. But as their pretend romance unfolds, they begin to wonder if love has been right in front of them all along. This heartwarming conclusion to The Amish of Marigold series delivers small-town charm, humor, and a sweet message about finding love by simply being yourself. A delightful read for fans of romance novels set within an Amish community. Thank you, NetGalley, for the advanced reader copy.

This was so cute and so so tender. I do think Daisy’s fixation on the alternate love interest went on a bit too long, but somehow Perry’s secret Lepidoptery is actually the cutest thing of all time.

I loved this book and the story line. I had not read the previous 2 books in the series, and felt that this was easy to read as a stand alone book without reading the previous ones in the series.

As with most of the Amish fiction books, the storylines are somewhat predictable, but that’s exactly what I needed right now. A light hearted story with a happy ending and this delivered.

Kathleen Fuller is one of my favorite authors in this genre and she does well again with this book.

It’s a tale of two people who are right for each other, working through their reasons why they are not right for each other, to find that they are. Daisy is obsessed with Maynard who doesn’t seem to know she exists, and her parents and aunt conspire to send her away in hopes that she will open her heart to other men.

Perry lives next door to the Hersbergers, and is intent on being alone. Having been burned by love once before, he won’t let himself go there again. Until Daisy shows up visiting her family next door, and they both end up taking care of an elderly man named Furman.

To get his mother off his back, and placate her mother too, they come up with a pact that they will present themselves as though they were a couple. They continue to deny their feelings for each other, and then Maynard suddenly shows up. Will the two find their way back to each other?

This is the last in the Amish of Marigold series and it does not disappoint. Daisy Hershberger and Perry Bontrager have a problem. They are single and their families are very eager for them to find a mate and settle down. Daisy thinks her chosen is Maynard and Perry just thinks he should be single because of his quirkiness. They make a pact that each helps the other to keep their families at bay. Along the way two people find that maybe they that they are more understanding of each other than guessed. Love this book, couldn't put it down.

Five stars all the way! I’m so sad to be done with this book already! It had the best combination of fake dating, friends-to-lovers, and forced proximity—> absolutely loved every second of it!

Daisy is in love with Maynard, but he’s never shown interest in her. She decides to finally confess her feelings to him. But when her parents catch wind of her plan, they send her away to help her cousin with wedding plans. When Daisy arrives, she quickly realizes there's more to her visit than she expected. In Marigold, she meets her neighbor Perry. Daisy and Perry team up to help a family friend recover from an injury. As they become closer, they come up with the idea of fake dating. Daisy to get her mother off her back about Maynard, and Perry to make his mom stop trying to set him up. But as they spend more time together and pretend to date in front of family, the forced proximity leads to unexpected emotions. Their plan starts to work a little too well, and soon, hearts are at stake. Perry starts to pull away to avoid confusing his own feelings, and Daisy, who’s still in love with Maynard, finds herself questioning her attraction to Perry... Daisy always believed Maynard was who God chose for her, but was she wrong? Was Perry meant to be more than her friend?

Honestly, even if you’ve never read an Amish novel before, this is THE ONE to try! It’s that good!!! 10 stars! I need it in print ASAP! Hmm... should I read more books from this series?!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. This review reflects my honest opinion.

The Marriage Pact by Kathleen Fuller is a book based on the Amish way of life. Daisy believes she is in love with Maynard, to the point of obsession. Maynard, on the other hand, seems bored and sometimes irritated by her, but she is determined to make this relationship work no matter what, for she believes that it's God's will for them to get married. Her parents have spotted their daughter's problem, and they know that they have to do something for the well-being of their daughter, so they decide to send her away to her aunt's home. And that is where she met Perry, young man who has decided to stay single for the rest of his life. But his mother is determined to find him a wife. They have several encounters, and none of them see any future between them, other than friendship. To know what becomes of this friendship, read this book, The Marriage Pact, by Kathleen Fuller.

I like the simple but sweet story that the author has put together. The story may not be steamy, but readers will enjoy the story immensely. I also like the personalities of the main characters in the book, down-to-earth but stubborn at the same time. Additionally, I like the other characters, especially Ferman; the way he is unable to mind his own business is quite hilarious.

In my opinion, the theme of the book did not fit well. Also, although I like Perry, I did not like the way he seems weird, being one of the main characters.

I rate this book, The Marriage Pact, by Kathleen Fuller, 3 out of 5 stars.

I recommend it to those readers who like simple but sweet stories based on the Amish way of life. It is a book that will open the readers' eyes and make them ponder about those in their lives and their worth.
