5 stars, Thank God for Unanswered Prayers

THE MARRIAGE PACT: AMISH OF MARIGOLD SERIES, BOOK 3
by Kathleen Fuller

In Birch Creek, Ohio, Perry Bontrager, 31 is a humble Amish man who is a single, horseshoer for his community. He is perfectly happy with his life, but his mother is not. Their family is quite large and Perry is the only unmarried member. His mother is determined to see her wayward son wed.

In Dover, Delaware, Daisy Hershberger, 25 is in love with a wonderful man, named Maynard Miller. Her mother and father are concerned about Daisy's infatuation. Daisy suddenly gets sent to Marigold, Ohio to help her cousin and her aunt plan her cousin's upcoming wedding.

Perry and Daisy meet and begin to talk about the plans that their parents have for them. They decide to have a pretend relationship, to get them out of the uncomfortable positions caused by their families.

Ferman Eash, is an interesting character, I really like him and Perry. Highly recommend.

I think often of the unanswered prayers in my own life. Looking back and being so glad this or that didn't happen the way that I thought it should have at the time.

I thankfully received a complimentary copy of #TheMarriagePact from #NetGalley @WriterKathleenFuller #HarperCollinsChristianPublishing I was not obligated to post a review.

This was a sweet and an adorable novel.
Really the only thing I didn't like was that selfish Maynard. Actually they both got on my nerves but I did have to laugh a time or two at Daisy and her shenanigans.
So hard headed that both of them couldn't see past the end of their noses.
I really do love how God's timing worked out things for everyone involved. This is what made it hilarious and ridiculous at the same time.
There's a time and place for everything in our lives.
I think I especially loved getting to know Ferman too. My heart kind of broke for the lonely old man. But, he is a wonderful man underneath all that crustiness
Pain will make anyone like that. I know it does me. Some days I just want to cry because of it so I know just how he feels.
Family means well. Perry's family made me crack up.
I didn't start to like Daisy until halfway in the book. I won't say why I'll let other readers figure it out.
But I really did enjoy this novel. I'm looking forward to more about this huge family. I can't begin to imagine such a huge family! It's probably a blessing but yet annoying at the same time. I hope I get to see this wonderful cast of characters again in the future. They are truly a delight!
5 stars from me for keeping me entertained. I highly recommend.
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.
