I was offered the opportunity to read this great book on NetGalley and raced through it! For anyone who has read other books by Andrew Mayne, there are the familiar and well-loved investigators but if you’re new to this author then it works equally well as an introduction to their various and individual approaches.
I love Andrew’s style of writing and the way he plots his books! The plots are complicated and convoluted but the books are easy to read, I don’t know how he does it! There is plenty of action and lots of brain teasing detail along the way. I particularly like the way this book brings the ‘specialists’ from previous books together to address an even more complicated problem and the way all their skills are combined. I hope we see them working together in future books.
I loved this and couldn’t put it down … now I’m heading off to make sure I’ve read all the previous books by this author!

Mr. Whisper by new to me author Andrew Mayne, published by Thomas & Mercer is a thriller of its finest. The first book in the Specialists Series gripped me right from the start, held me in suspense til the last page, hanging on the edge of my seat. A fabtastic book 5 stars.
