Super unrealistic because no man talks this way BUT that's not why you romance. I liked it and thought it was cute. I have a love/hate relationship when the author has an up-to-you ending. In this context it's fun but I also like closure.

Thank you @RBmedia and @NetGalley for the ARC. This book was such a cute read. I loved Will and Josie. This is a second chance romance. Will and Josie shared one kiss in high school and it was a disaster. The meet years later as two professionals thrown together to help Josie fashion business and are surprised that the sparks are still there. Fun for the banter and finding oneself after you thought you had all you wanted.

I love Gilmore’s writing. This is an adorable story. Sometimes you need a fun and lighthearted read and this one fits the bill perfectly. The characters were fun, and I loved the girl boss vibes. The two MCs were very relatable. This was a slightly second chance romance with feel good vibes. I can’t wait to read what Gilmore comes out with next.

I enjoyed how hard Josephine worked and learning the mechanics of her job and journey to success. The romance was sweet—Josephine and Will needed a second chance and they didn’t waste it. Narrator did a great job. Thank you to NetGalley for an advance audiobook

This book was really cute. I just felt like the entire story flowed so perfectly. There are a few different tropes that were used in this one - forced proximity, friends to lovers, second chance romance. My absolute favorite thing about this story - no miscommunication and no random stupid breakup midway or towards the end. The characters were pretty straightforward, though maybe hesitant throughout the story and I loved it!

The differences between Josie and Zoe were a bit petty if I do say so myself (on Zoe’s part for sure). I really wish that the discussion of what had happened happened a bit sooner in the story and there could have been an earlier resolution; possibly giving more character growth but this is me being a nit picker.
•
I think that the pacing was great, I was intrigued right from the start and I really truly felt there was great character development with friendships, business and love. I do wish this would have been dual POV to get Will’s POV ( again, just me being nitpicky).

I listened to this one via audiobook while reading my gifted ARC. Katharine Leonard was great. I felt like she made me Josie and I was living out this story. It was truly a great listen, I highly recommend it.

Overall, this is a really great romance for all of my romance friends! Be sure to check it out! Huge thank you to Clare Gilmore, St. Martins Press and Recorded Books for the ALC and ARC in exchange for my honest review!

First I need to say that the narration of this book was so great! As soon as I started this book, I was sucked in. It didn’t feel slow ever for me. I also really enjoyed no real third act break up. I do wish that the girls were able to meet up sooner than they did. Especially since they learned that Josie knows Zoe doesn’t have the same feelings as she did in high school. I feel like some of the drama that happened was unnecessary but at the same time I see the same drama in real life on the internet so I’m at a crossroads with that. Over all I really enjoyed this book. I feel like I’d give it a 4.5/5! I would def read this authors work again!

Tropes: friends to lovers, forced proximity, second chance-ish, slow burn, he falls first
Dual POV 1st person
It must be kismet when Will Grant accidentally crashes his bike into Josie Davis’ car. They were high school acquaintances, Josie was best friends with his twin sister, Zoe. But after a fallout with Zoe and being publicly canceled amongst her schoolmates in the last few months of her senior year, Josie hasn’t talked to either of them in 10 years. In that time, Josie has taken a small college hobby and turned it into a thriving small business and has been single for the past 4 years. Will, you find out, has moved to NYC and built a successful career as a business consultant. But their fateful “reunion” on the streets of Austin has brought them back into each other’s lives and discovering the feelings they have for each other is hard to deny.
THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD. It was such a satisfying read. I’ll be honest, part of it has to do with similarities I saw between myself/my spouse and the FMC/MMC. For example, we’re both sewists who had a sewing business. And my husband also snores like a freight train lol. It’s the little things.
But also it was just so well written. I love this author’s writing style, although I do wish it had been dual POV. You could really feel the chemistry between Will and Josie, and I don’t know, it was like I was experiencing what Josie was when she described everything that happened with Zoe, as well as her frustrations and insecurities with social media, trying to run a business and not lose herself in the process.
And that epilogue man. It was perfect but I hated it. And I loved it. But I hate it too. And I kinda love it 😤😩 Definitely definitely recommend this book!!!!!

Perfect Fit by Clare Gilmore is a heartfelt exploration of second chances, personal growth, and the unexpected ways love can find its way back into a life dominated by ambition. Josephine Davis is a driven CEO fighting to keep her fashion brand, Revenant, thriving in a competitive world. When circumstances force her to work with Will Grant, the twin brother of her estranged best friend and a man tied to a moment of shared vulnerability nine years ago, tension simmers into a profoundly satisfying romance.
Josie and Will's dynamic is electric from the start, filled with sharp banter and reluctant chemistry that grows as they challenge each other's perceptions. What sets this romance apart is the way Gilmore masterfully balances the push-and-pull of their relationship with an exploration of Josie's struggles with burnout and her fears of vulnerability. The story is rich with emotional depth, tackling complex themes of forgiveness, identity, and the price of ambition, all while keeping the romance front and center.
Will's quiet steadiness complements Josie's fiery determination, and their slow realization that they're precisely what the other needs is beautifully paced. Including Josie's complicated history with Will's sister adds another layer of complexity, making the stakes feel accurate and high.
Katharine Leonard's narration enhances the experience, bringing warmth and nuance to Josie's sharp wit and Will's understated charm. Her delivery captures the heart of their journey, making the audiobook an incredibly engaging way to experience this story. Listeners will be captivated by the way Leonard brings the characters to life.
Perfect Fit is an ideal blend of romance and personal discovery, making it an unforgettable read for those who enjoy love stories that are as much about finding oneself as finding a partner. The balance between these two elements will keep readers intrigued and engaged throughout the story.

Perfect Fit is a feel-good read that hits all the right notes for a contemporary romance. The story follows Josie, a woman who’s trying to balance her career ambitions with her personal life, and Will, a man who challenges her idea of what "perfect" really means. If you love stories where opposites attract and characters are forced to grow together, you’ll likely enjoy this one.
The chemistry between the MCs is great. They have that classic “slow-burn” romance that makes you root for them every step of the way. Josie is a strong, independent character, and it’s refreshing to read about a heroine who’s not just defined by her relationship but has her own goals and ambitions. Will, on the other hand, has a bit of that swoon-worthy charm, but with enough flaws to make him relatable and not too perfect.
Overall, Perfect Fit is a solid and charming romance. It’s not going to blow your mind with any new twists, but it does exactly what it sets out to do: deliver a heartwarming love story that’s both entertaining and comforting!

This book is about our main character, Josie who owns a fashion brand which is successful and she is always worried that something wrong will happen because everything cant be this good all the time. She wants a certificate for her business and Will is going to help her in that. He is also twin brother of her high school best friend. And they have some sort of history.
We see them working together and him helping her in many ways. He is very respectful and stands up every time she comes in the room. He doesnt have that male ego where they have to have upper hand. I loved how he was ready to adjust with her insane schedules. They both actually had conversations through which they got to know each other and learnt what they were going through during their teen years.
She was burning herself out because she was in constant worry of something going wrong and proving herself as a young female CEO. I loved her and Camilla's bond as well as her and Zoe's equation and how they resolved it even after so many years. In all a well rounded, simple yet beautiful story.

Great narration and excellent plot! I loved how Clare depicted the downsides of being a girl boss and the importance of prioritizing your mental health.

I thought this book was cute. I enjoyed the characters and their banter. I thought that the fact that they knew each other as kids, but grew up and met again was fun. I loved that she was a strong young business woman chasing her dreams - and that he only wanted her to continue to thrive. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow and change. I liked all the side characters too. I found myself smiling and laughing many times. I found that the romance dragged on a little too long, that Josie was too indecisive about what she wanted through most of the book. But overall, a fun and enjoyable read.
Thank you Netgalley for my advanced reader copies.

Perfect Fit

Narrated by Katharine Leonard
About the book 👇🏽
A hilarious and heartfelt rom-com about having it all, slowing down to see the big picture, and finding out that the person you least expect could be your perfect fit.
🎧 My thoughts:
It was a pretty quick listen and would make a great palate cleanser! Katharine Leonard, the audiobook narrator, did a great job bringing this story to life and held my attention. I enjoyed the story but I can’t say I loved* it. In fact, I wish I reviewed this closer to when I finished it because I’m having a hard time remembering everything but my quick points were already mentioned above. What I do remember is that it was a fast listen, likable, and I was happy with the ending.
Happy reading 📖 🎧

Claire Gilmore have you been watching my TikToks? JOKING !!! Anyway this was the perfect book for any 20 something (or even later in life, the fmc is just 27) who feels like they’re working towards something that’s no longer filling their cup/struggling with burnout.
No third act breakup! Great communication. Laugh out loud funny. Deeply romantic.

I had lots of fun with Perfect Fit!! Josephine is written realistically and we are able to see her struggles with her work-life balance as a CEO. We took a real deep dive into her in this story and so I felt very connected to her. I also liked seeing her character development in realising her worth apart from her business. Even if you don’t relate to her plainly, I feel that there are so many insecurities of hers that, at our root, we all relate to too - so her journey was encouraging. Josephine is so caring and sweet but also an effective businesswoman (lovely juxtaposition) so her character was great!
Will was perfect! His faith in Josephine 100% of the time was so sweet and the way he always showed up at the right moments just reaffirmed how I think he’s THE ONE for Josephine. Plus, he takes care of her when she’s sick and disgusting so if that isn’t love then I don’t know what is lol. He’s calm and collected during Josephine’s panic attacks and my heart just melted every time he knew exactly what to say to help her get through the stress 🥹 Will was just the strongest support system and I adored him.
Together they had wonderful communication (no third act breakup!!) and their relationship felt very grown-up which I really appreciated!! Slow burn, second chance romances are not usually my fave but this one surprised me!
The pacing of is where things get a little tricky for me because while this book was the perfect length for a romcom, some things were happening a little too late to be properly developed. Big life changes started coming about 300 pages in and I was a little confused by it but maybe that’s just me :)
Other than Will and Josephine being cute, though, Perfect Fit has lovely female friendships, an intriguing look into the behind-the-scenes of owning a fashion brand and explores a very relatable commentary on workplace burnout.
Thank you NetGalley and RBmedia for this ALC!!

✔️Boss woman fashion lady ✔️Boy from her past ✔️Enemies to Lovers ✔️Friendship
First of all, I love a main character fashion girlie💋 I liked the plotline of this book, it just didn’t keep me quite as invested as I hoped it would. I think the author should have leaned into the enemies bit more to pull this one off.
Overall, a fun read!

Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with the Audio-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a really cute low-stakes romance with good chemistry and banter between the FMC and the love interest.
The characters were the strong suit of the book! Josie, a younge CEO of a viral fashion brand, is smart and strong but also kind and caring. Her struggles with her self esteem and anxiety despite her success (and sometimes lack thereof) was convincing.
Not much to say about Will besides him being a walking green flag!
I enjoyed the friendships portrayed in the story as well as the character growth.
The business-specific details really brought the story to life for me but I can understand why they would have the opposite effect for some readers.

I loved this book more than I anticipated. While it is a contemporary romance, what made it stand out for me was that romance wasn’t the only central plotline.
Josie is an amazing CEO, learning to enjoy life and discover herself beyond just work. She has a supportive relationship with her best friend, who encourages her to embrace life more fully.
Will is such a sweetheart. He shows his love for Josie through acts of service and isn’t intimidated by her strength and independence, which is refreshing to read. His personal growth journey throughout the book is inspiring, especially as he navigates changing career paths to find fulfillment.
Both main characters are flawed, but they make each other better simply by being there for one another. The character development is rich, adding depth to the story. The banter between them is great, and their connection from the start is captivating.

This was a fun story! I enjoyed both the main characters but I felt Will was especially likable. I was wanting a cute, lighthearted and easy ready. That was exactly what this book was!

Such a cute, modern, slow-burn romance.
There were so many things I really enjoyed about this one; including the commentary on the toxicity of social media and how quickly the tides turn. I also really enjoyed the level of maturity we see in this developing relationship. I loved that we get to see a leading lady with a complex work/life balance.
Josie, our CEO and HBIC, is dealing with a lot here. Friendships, relationships, owning her own business and it exceeding all expectations. What the realities of all of those things looks like. I felt like this was such an accurate look at so many aspects of navigating adulthood.
Will, our MMC, is committed to Josie in such a helpful, thoughtful, positive way. He knows that her company is her baby and he does whatever possible to stay out of the way while simultaneously making her day to day life easier.
———SLIGHT SPOILER———
While there was so much to love here, one aspect I found to be a bit….. overreaching… was the intimate scenes. I found it to be highly unlikely that she was able to orgasm (more than once) by him simply speaking to her and touching her thigh/stomach/back……. Maybe that’s a “me” thing but it seemed a bit unrealistic.
Thank you so much to NetGalley, Clare Gilmore, and the publisher for this ARC.
