I enjoyed this book. I liked Josie’s inner monologue and self doubt. Her flaws gave her character so much dimension. Will was a good but not great male main character. I found Josie’s friendships to be the more developed part of the book.

I enjoyed this story and I found Josie to be such a sweet character, she opened my eyes to similar people in my own life and what they are going through! Will and Josie were so cute and great together. I love a man that will do anything for a woman!!

I think this book really fell off for me at the end. It was an okay story, fine for a quick read but the ending just didn't sit right with me. I feel like there was a nice, clean, interesting way to wrap up this book that didn't leave anything on the table ..but this just felt unfinished. Probably still recommend it but I took a whole star off for it.

Beyond this just being a romance, this book touches on other topics like working in the corporate world, the fear of not being enough, the social anxiety that comes with every day life and friendships. This was everything! I had so much fun reading it. I went into this one without knowing that it was a second chance romance and what a pleasant surprise it was the yearning had me on my kness. I did tear up a couple of times because Josie made me feel like looking at a mirror. The chemistry and connection was instant since the beginning, making this the perfect romance. This book meant everything to me and I love how I could see myself in the book because it touch on how real people feel how real women feel in these types of situations.

This contemporary novel was light with a slow burn romance that involves a fashion CEO reconnecting with her high school best friends twin brother 10 years later. Both of these characters had grown so much in the decade between the event that broke up the friendship and their current positions.

It portrays realistic responses to work place burnout and the two main characters approached the conflict with such mature actions (no third act break up!). There were definite friendship goals portrayed as well.

The narration was well done with distinctive voices for each character.

My first Clare Gilmore and will not be my last.

This rom com is The Devil Wears Prada with Elle Woods. I loved the characters in this book and the relationships. I looked forward to reading (listening) about the female friendships as i did the romantic relationship. It was such a quick, cute, easy read, i devoured It in one sitting. The writing gave me Ashley Polston vibes the way the descriptions were and how It moved me (just without the magical realism).

I liked the characters and the Austin setting in this book. The designer aspect of Josie is also great, but I didn't love her self-doubt at times (although I know that is realistic for many). Will and Josie's banter and adventure is sweet and entertaining! There is also travel in this book (to Peru, so I loved that) and this was just an overall great RomCom. I am glad I listened to this as an audiobook the narrator is fantastic!

The audio is good, enjoyed it a lot. The voices where phenomenal and well done . The story is fun and cute. I like how there is not third act break up , and it centers more around her second chance . Definitely a quick nice read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook! The characters were great and though there was talk about work, it wasn't too in depth which was perfect! The FMC & MMC had amazing chemistry and I loved the conversations that were between them. The side characters all were fun and definitely brought more joy into the story!

The one thing I wish had been different would have been the past relationship between the FMC & MMC. They really didn't know each other or spoke much, and then meet again in the future. That all was fine, but it felt too "insta-love" for the minimal past encounter. Aside from that, I loved this story.

While marketed as a romcom, it read more like Women’s Fiction with some romance. I appreciated the growth that Josie had over the course of the book and learning to care less about what everyone thinks of her. It was also an interesting reminder of the hurt that can come from social media. Will is a swoony hero and I loved that he wasn’t intimidated by Josie’s success but supported her along the way. The second chance aspect of the romance was a nice addition.

I enjoyed the narration and thought the narrator was a good choice for this book.

This is a cute romance book. It has second chance, best friends brother, and slow burn. I liked this romance because you get to see a healthy romance develop between Will and Josie. Let’s start with Josie. I love seeing a humble girlboss who started from the bottom and created her own empire. She makes sure her work environment is healthy for all who work there including herself. You get to see even if you are at the top there is still such a thing as burnout. Then there’s Will. He is quite literally the definition of perfect book boyfriend: caring, thoughtful, hot, and a sense of humor. I will definitely read more from this author.

Perfect Fit borders the woman's fiction and romance genres and tells the story of Josephine Davis, a 27 year old fashion CEO, who is in a crossroads period in her life. For years Josephine has put all of her efforts into her company with relative success, but now as she faces challenges of burnout, changing friendship dynamics, and changing public reception of her brand she's has to ask herself questions she's ignored for years such as "who is she outside of Revenant's CEO?" and "what would she be if there was no longer Revenant?" Through work, she ends up running into (in a physical and literal sense) Will Grant who is hired to work as a consultant for the company. Will is also the twin brother of her former high school bestfriend, who she had a falling out with because of a one time kiss with will during senior year. Will has recently gone on his own self discovery journey and is able to help Josephine work through some of the questions she's asking herself and finally confront the ending of her friendship with his sister.

I really enjoyed that the romance is not the catalyst of this self discovery journey, rather Will serves more as a co-pilot and support system of Josephine while she tries to figure out what she wants. I think both are really mature for their age, which shows when the book gets to the 3rd act conflict. Instead of responding poorly to the external conflict and breaking up like happens in some other books, I think the pair address it together and make it clear that despite what's going on they still don't want their feelings to change. Another element I really enjoyed and while it's not explicitly said, but Josephine presents somewhat on the ace/demisexual spectrum. I thought that really added a layer of depth to her character and it added another element of her navigating things she hadn't wanted or thought about for years.

This was the first audiobook I've listened to naorated by Katherine Leonard and I enjoyed it. I thought her voice really fit into a character in their late 20's. Thank you NetGalley and Recorded Books for an ALC of this book!

Josie has been building her online fashion business since college and it’s become a great success and now she needs a consultant to help take it to the next level. Enter Will, her ex-best friend’s twin brother and someone Josie thought she’d never see again - at least since she kissed him at the end of high school which ended her friendship with his twin Zoe. Now they’re working together and even though they were never actually friends (he thought she was shallow and she thought he was moody) they become closer and realize how much they have in common. Josie has spent her adulthood building her business and trying to avoid complications, like love - but now she has to rethink her choices.

This week I needed light and this was a perfect antidote to the world for me. It was sweet and cute and it gave me Ann Hathaway in The Intern vibes (love that movie). This was like listening to a chocolate chip cookie and sometimes you really just want a chocolate chip cookie. The audio was very good but it would have been better had there been Will’s POV as well (maybe I’ve just gotten used to the two POVs, but I kept hoping for his take on the situation). If you’re looking for some escapism - this is a great option!

This is the best audiobook I could have ever asked for for this book. I love this book with my whole entire heart. Clare put her whole soul into this and it shows. there is something about the way Clare writes that is absolutely magical and I won’t ever be able to fully explain the way it makes me feel.

I am feeling so grateful for this ALC and I devoured it.

This was such a sweet and quick read! I enjoyed the forced proximity, brother of ex best friend, and some enemies to lovers tropes.

I found the relationship between Josephine and Will to be super sweet and I appreciated how he fell first and was so supportive of her. There is some spice but very minimal and not very descriptive..

While this book mainly focuses on Josephine, I think it would have benefited to see Will's POV. It felt like he was making all the sacrifices for Josephine and we really didn't get his full backstory and reasonings for his actions.

The author did a wonderful job weaving in more heavy topics such a burnout, belonging and following your dreams both personal and professional into this story. I felt like this book might be aimed more for the Gen Z readers since the discussion regarding the damage that social media can cause and the importance of therapy is at the heart of this story.

I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the performance by Katherine Leonard.

There was lots for me to enjoy about this book, but I wouldn't quite call it a "perfect fit." And that's okay! I enjoyed this one much more than Love Interest (which I am far too millennial to relate to) and felt way more connected to and invested in these characters.

Clare Gilmore's dialogue is really something special. These characters come alive in the way they talk to one another. Unfortunately, this audio. narration was sorely missing a "man voice." There was barely any tone change from one character's voice to another.

In theory, I loved the poetry of the "what if I was okay with being your collateral damage/use me" speech, and yes, we love when he falls first and hard. But I think "use me" only works when it's the person with more power/more to lose offering it...the way it's used here gave me a teensy ick.

Bonus points for an extremely well-done caretaking scene. Actually, it's more of a theme of the book, and probably its strongest one, along with the importance of female friendships.

I LOVED Love Interest so I jumped at the chance to get Clare's next book and she did not let me down.  No sophomore slump here!
Perfect Fit gave us a mature (no miscommunication!) romance story that I would happily re-read.  The "re"- meet cute had me gasping and legit LOLing!  I loved the side characters- the family, biological and found family.  The career and identity struggles really resonated with me. The resolution at the end of the book was so healthy and encouraging.  
I would recommend Clare's book to anyone and can't wait to see what she comes up with next!!
I was also blessed with the ALC of this book after I read the text.  Now, I could just relisten to the audio book just to give a review of the narrator's work- but nope- I relistened because I was ready for a re-read- with the added bonus of sharing my narration opinion.  Please note- I'm not a re-reader- so that speaks volumes for this story.  Narration is incredibly well done, I will absolutely choose more books done by this narrator.

However, an investor wants her to hire a consultant to help her reach her goals. . . And she was not expecting that person to be Will, the older brother of her ex-best friend 🤯

I love a brother of best friend trope, forced proximity and a little bit of enemies to lovers. The author did a wonderful job weaving in more heavy topics such a burnout, belonging and following your dreams both personal and professional.

The chemistry between Josephine and Will was tangible and I loved their development personally and as couple throughout this novel.
