I was hoping for something like the depth and subtlety of Fried Green Tomatoes, and unfortunately I was rather disappointed. The premise of the book was promising, a liberation topped with icing and British humor, but it never fully arrived.

Very odd book about a woman who kills her husband and then eats him. Just was not the book for me, no matter how quirkily it was delivered.
