Jack Girlz Atlanta follows three sisters bound by blood and betrayal as they take revenge through high-stakes scamming. While I loved the concept and the sister dynamics, the pacing was slow—at times. POV shifts mid-chapter made it hard to stay immersed. I’d prefer single-POV in each chapter and allowing for shorter chapters to keep things tighter. Also, the spice caught me off guard—personally, I like my thrillers without romance.
As a debut in this genre, it shows promise. I enjoy Danae’s work in romance and hope to see her thriller voice grow. One small gripe: the story follows three sisters, so the title and solo-sister cover didn’t quite fit, in my opinion.
Thank you Black Odyssey Media for the ARC. All thoughts are my own.

Different from the other books I’ve read by BriAnn Danae but loved this. She’s grown so much as a writer and I enjoyed her stepping out and trying something new.

I definitely enjoyed this book. BriAnn Danae is an awesome writer. This book was definitely full of twists. I do wish that the pace was a little faster, it started off pretty slow.

This book had me hooked from the very first page! The drama, the secrets, the nonstop twists, every chapter pulled me in deeper. Mia, Hazel, and Teyona were each dealing with so much, mostly because of the choices their parents made, and it was so compelling to watch it all unfold. Hazel was easily my favorite—she stood firm in who she was, no matter what anyone thought. BriAnn Danae truly delivered with this one—the writing was sharp, the pacing was perfect, and the reveals just kept coming. Huge thanks to NetGalley and Black Odyssey for the e-arc!

Whewwww, this book right here? It spoke to me. From page one, I was locked in — the characters were real, the storyline was bold, and the emotion? Deep. The author didn’t just write a story; they gave us an experience. The kind that stays with you long after you’ve closed the book.
As a writer myself, I respect the pen game. The pacing, the dialogue, the tension? All on point. This is the kind of book that makes you pause and highlight a line like, “Did they really just say that?” Because YES.
For my Jack Girlz who love stories with heart, heat, and heavy truths — this one’s a must-read. Period.
5 stars. No notes.

This book follows three sisters Mia, Hazel, & Teyona who’s going through family issues due to their parents past especially their father. There was a lot of mystery & manipulation going on throughout the story because of the decisions that the father made that caused so much destruction. He owns a very profitable business & Mia is his muse trying to follow his footsteps in the pharmacy. Hazel stood out the most because she didn’t care anything of what her dad said or wanted & nothing Teyona did ever impressed him. I think where the story felt like it lost my interest was because the character development wasn’t there. As soon as the story seemed to all come together at the end it came off very rushed. I enjoyed so many other books by this author & can’t wait to read more from her but this one wasn’t a favorite of mine. Complimentary copy is appreciated & all opinions are all of my own.

I enjoyed this read. It was a little slower paced than expected and didn’t get super interesting until around sixty percent. The back story was interesting and I enjoyed the sisters bond. I also enjoyed the spicy scenes and the banter between certain characters. Overall it was enjoyable but could have benefited from some updates to the pacing.

This was a great read to me, when you can't put the book down because you want to know what's going to happen next. This story follow three sisters, who seemed very close due to sharing a room since young. However after an incident between the mom and the dad, it divides the family a bit because one sister decided to go her own route with her career while the other two followed the dad & how are we just ignoring what the dad did to the mom and moving along with life.
But anyways, the family is well known however with the many day secrets and successful career paths chosen, what happens when all the bad things come from the dark and end up in the light? Will the family survive?

This book follows the Grant sisters, Mia, Hazel, and Teyona.
We start off with flashback of the sister's parents and the night that forever changed the way the Grant family. The story has several twist and turns and is suspenseful. I couldn't understand Mia and her father's dynamic because ain't no way l'm gonna act like my Dad ain't do my mom wrong but push it outta my mind. I couldn't stand Matthew and the mother, Kimberly, had me side-eying her as well.
I definitely felt the suspense but this also didn't feel like a normal BriAnn Danae book. I am a fan of her writing but the ending felt a bit rushed and had me re reading because it moved so fast at the end. Also I felt that the name of the book did not match the story. I was expecting something more urban due to the title but it just wasn't. If you are looking for a fast pace suspense book with a little urban feel you'd definitely enjoy this book.

This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, I look forward to reading more urban fiction from this author.

This was such an intriguing read!
Loved the sister dynamic and the suspense. It was really well executed. And as someone who doesn't really like mystery kind of things, this was really excellent and had all of the family messiness I wanted there to be. All of the sisters were developped well, and I had a real sense as to who they were as people.
Just all around really excellent writing, really great character work, and a fun read.
Thank you to Black Odyssey Publishing and Netgalley for an e-copy.

Thanks to NetGalley and Black Odyssey Media for this read. This was very well written. I like how it was ventured around females. This was just a good read.

— This was BriAnn’s first taste into the thriller genre and I had a time. I was captivated by the story from the start and didn’t know what to expect.
— The Grant sisters, Mia, Hazel and Teyona, has to have one another’s back as their parents secrets begin to unravel the life they knew.
— The plot twists that occur in this story had me on the edge and invested in trying to reveal the truth.

I was expecting a different book based on the cover. Cover and title gives urban fiction or maybe an action packed crime drama, but it was not that.
This story follows 3 well bred privileged sisters into their families web of lies and secrets. We follow them as they attempt to uncover buried secrets lies and betrayal that will shake the very core of their family. I began to wonder if they are smart enough to figure it out before it’s too late. We follow them as the sister bond is tested, and as the rabbit hole gets deeper. I thought I had it figured out… I was close but the was differently a turn I didn’t see them taking. The story telling was a slow incline but that peak was steep! I was a little lost in the beginning trying to figure out where the story was going and getting a grasp of the relationship in this family and the men they were surrounded by. The story does grab you and you become obsessed with the connecting the pieces and I enjoyed that aspect.

This is a five star read I usually don’t read much of this genre anymore but I’m so glad that I did because this one took me out my reading slump it’s such a page turner and so good I’m differently going to tell people about this fast pace read !!! I loved it

A Thrilling Ride with a Few Bumps Along the Way
⭐⭐⭐.75
Briann Danae’s Jack Girlz Atlanta immediately piqued my interest—not just because of its intriguing plot but also because Danae’s pen game is always strong. This book took a different direction from what I’m used to from her, and while I appreciate the bold storytelling, I found myself wishing I loved it more than I did.
The suspense was gripping, and I was fully invested in unraveling the mystery surrounding the Grant family. What was really going on, and why was their past coming back to haunt them? The twists kept me turning the pages, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that the pacing was a bit uneven. The multiple timelines and shifting POVs within the same chapter sometimes made it feel chaotic rather than immersive.
Character development, one of Danae’s usual strengths, felt a bit underwhelming here. I wanted to connect more deeply with the characters, but we didn’t get enough time to truly understand them. There were also storylines that could have been further explored to enhance the tension and make the big reveal more impactful. When the truth finally came out, it felt rushed and didn’t land with the intensity I was hoping for.
Despite these hiccups, Jack Girlz Atlanta was an engaging read, and I’m excited to see how Danae continues to evolve as a writer. If you enjoy suspense with plenty of drama, this one is still worth checking out!

BriAnn Danae continues to draw her readers in with her captivating storylines. From the beginning of the book I was intrigued with what was coming next. The way the storyline unfolded more and more each chapter made for a good read. I admired how through everything, the Grant sisters never folded on each other. Mia, Hazel, and Teyona continued to show up for each other even as they were going through their own personal woes of life. Their parents dark past suddenly beginning to come to the light is shaking up the sisters’ world, leaving them to question whether their parents are who they always thought they were. Especially their mother. The Grants are a great example of how “the perfect family” holds the darkest secrets. If you like some thriller/suspense, family secrets, sibling bonds, and multiple pov, I would recommend.

In the thrilling novel, Jack Girlz Atlanta, readers are taken on an exhilarating journey through the streets of Atlanta with three compelling sisters, Mia, Hazel, and Teyona. From the very first page, this novel grips you with its relentless pace and unforeseen plot twists, making it impossible to put down. The book's narrative brilliantly captures the essence of sisterhood, showcasing the unbreakable bond between Mia, Hazel, and Teyona. Their relationship is a true testament to the strength and resilience that comes with familial ties. As they navigate their personal struggles and the treacherous pitfalls of corporate scamming, their loyalty and support for one another shine through, providing a heartwarming counterpoint to the tension-filled storyline.
The author has adeptly woven a tale that combines intrigue, danger, and emotional depth, ensuring that readers are not only entertained but also deeply invested in the characters' journeys.
